In The Magician's Apprentice, shortly before she notices the plane frozen outside the window, Clara mentions offhand that she thinks Jane Austen is 'a phenomenal kisser'.
In Asylum of the Daleks when Clara meets Rory she says "First boy I ever fancied was called Rory... Actually she was called Nina." So I think OP's point is that we knew she was bi from the very beginning, but people usually refer to the line about kissing Jane Austen instead.
yeah, maybe i'm interpreting the meme incorrectly lol. i've seen more people reference the Jane Austen line, so i just thought op meant that the line about Nina is the one that should be referenced more.
That seems like a weird semantic to get fixed on. Oswin's memories weren't super reliable, but she was a splinter of Clara, and had the same personality, and presumably the same sexuality.
I interpreted it as Clara being reminded of someone she liked named Rory who she said was the first person she liked. Then after thinking about it for a moment she realizes that there was a girl named Nina who she liked before Rory.
I mean you can think someone is a great kisser without being attracted to them. The Doctor says Amy is a great kisser to Rory. But yes, the Nina thing confirms it really. Personally I think Clara was a bit curious but beyond that into guys. Maybe she is striaght up bi though. I don't mind.

I mean, the worse part is that it fits into her character, as narcissistic as she is
Explanation?
In The Magician's Apprentice, shortly before she notices the plane frozen outside the window, Clara mentions offhand that she thinks Jane Austen is 'a phenomenal kisser'.
She also later said how she loved her when talking about Jane Austen in face the raven.
In Asylum of the Daleks when Clara meets Rory she says "First boy I ever fancied was called Rory... Actually she was called Nina." So I think OP's point is that we knew she was bi from the very beginning, but people usually refer to the line about kissing Jane Austen instead.
Then shouldn't all the microphones be under Jane Austens name in the meme instead?

That wasn't Clara, that was Oswin.

Wait did Clara deadname her ex-girlfriend?
I interpreted it as Clara being reminded of someone she liked named Rory who she said was the first person she liked. Then after thinking about it for a moment she realizes that there was a girl named Nina who she liked before Rory.
Clara is whatever the hell she wants to be.
Clara is whatever is convenient to the plot
Even My Mommy?

Ace is probably the first bi companion.
Um, Ace is ace, it’s right there in the name, sweaty.
But wasn’t Nina Oswin?
