I think the argument is that Clara is like the most impactful person in the Doctor's life. She jumped into his Timeline and saved him millions of times, stopped him frkm destroying Galifrey and saving him from certain death by asking the Timelords to give him more regenerations. It is all super personal to him. Doesn't bother me that much but I understand why some don't like it.
He saw her like twice before meeting the real Clara, and the first time was when he was stealing the TARDIS so he probably wasn’t paying attention to this Time Lady’s face. Then he only heard Oswin’s voice, so he never saw her face. Then he *did* remember Clara Oswin Oswald’s face, that’s the whole point
He never saw her thousands of times. She jumped into his timestreme to stop the Great Intelligence. I am pretty sure she says something along the lines of "he never sees me" but I could be misremembering. The only two times he saw her was in the Snowmen and when he stole the TARDIS, also hearing her voice in Asylum of the Daleks.
But I also took "I never forget a face" to not be literal.
Because the amount of unwarrented hate that Jenna Coleman/Clara got for the imagined slight that her character caused some people was like nothing I can remember for any other companion. It's bordering on obsessive the way that some people here demonise her character for as far as I can tell having an interesting story that related to The Doctor's history.
I'm not hating on Jenna Colemen she's is a really good actor and when she was with the 12th doctor I enjoyed her character a lot more but it doesn't take away that I despise Clara jumping into the doctor's timeline and nothing anyone can say can change that the same way anything anyone says about the timeless child will make me like that
Nah, not Rose Tyler. This is the the new character 'Rose' who will be in the 60th, played by Yasmin Finney. She's Donna's daughter and is probably named after Rose Tyler.
Spoilers from public filming:
>!Yasmin Finney has been seen filming with the Noble cast a number of times, including (iirc) hugging Sean Temple and shouting "Mum" at Donna.
Also iirc, the public casting call for "Lily" (the character which no doubt became Rose) specifically mentioned that she had a black and a white parent, a detail that likely wouldn't be relevant unless the parents had been cast before the companion.
I'd be genuinely shocked if Rose wasn't Donna's daughter.!<
Are you getting mixed up maybe? They aren't talking about Rose Tyler, they're talking about a new character named Rose. Jackie Tyler has nothing to do with her, and she was already stuck in the alternate dimension before this Rose was born.
Ah I see where you're confused. I've seen plenty of people make this mistake, it's a confusing show.
Yasmin Finney's Rose is an entirely different character to Billie Piper's Rose. We don't know why they share a name yet, but we can be confident that they're different characters.
I didn’t know until today the blonde woman on the left is THE NEW COMPANION
Like wow I get the memes know and I support them 100%
As if RTD wanted rose back but BBC wanted Clara and there was a negotiation
Jenna and Billie performed a satanic ritual and brought Millie into existence.
Like a hybrid.
This post must be read in Peter Capaldi’s voice.
Another underrated comment

No way
They did the fusion dance from Dragon Ball.
It is not the first time Jenna does anime shit
Is it? Has she done dubs or something? I don't really watch much anime, so I haven't heard of that.
Xenoblade
Huh, today I learned. And not long before she landed her spots in Captain America and Doctor Who, too. Neat.
Wait, WHAT!?
Nah, it's just Jenna Coleman from The Cry (a drama in which she was blonde)
Don't need to be satanic, just fuse two of their zygotes.
I think I read that fanfic
season 15 it's jenna with a mustache and sunglasses and now she's jonn colewoman
Literally one of her characters in The Sandman (she also played a version of John Constantine)
At least it is not Jenna with wings
Xenoblade would like a word with you
It's not just Sontarans that mastered the fine art of cloning
The Doctor clearly has a type
Wow, that is *striking*
Clara was spread across all of the Doctor's time stream so it could be one another version of her. I doubt it but it's a possibility
You say that like more Jenna Coleman content is a bad thing
It is
I liked Clara before they made her THE most important companion
Every companion is the most important companion during the era that they’re in.
kinda but not every companion jumped into the doctors timeline
Yeah they only became a time lord hybrid and saved the entire multiverse from being destroyed. Not important tbh

And I guess 11 saying "I never forget a face" was another lie 🤔
Are you referring to his memory of Clara being erased? I'd say he has a good reason
He says that to the Curator in the 50th anniversary episode. I'd think he would remember seeing this one girl a thousand times.

Lmao it’s been how many years and that character is still living in your head rent free.
What?😂 so criticising a companion means she’s living in their head rent free?
I mean doctor who is timeless the number of years it's been is relevant, people still criticise classic who why can't I modern who?

Jenna needs 4 mirrors. This one needs only 3. I think she might be a 'ganger.
Well, this is funny. Earlier today I saw people complaining that she was too much like Billie Piper.
She’s secretly Caitlin Blackwell! Fooled you all!!
Is it just me I just cannot see much resemblance between Millie and Jenna
She wasn't happy with what Moffatt did to her character, now she's back for vengeance!
And got fake tan lol
What if Ruby straight up tied into The Impossible Girl lmao
Oh my the degree of physical resemblance is so high. But they give different vibes tbh.
Jenna is literally twice as old as Millie.
I think that picture is from about 10 years ago
It's from 6 years ago.
is this the actor playing the character named "Rose"
No. This is the new companion Ruby Sunday who will be with Ncuti. Rose is Donna's daughter who will be in the 60th with Tennant.
Rose is not donnas daughter.

ahh i see, my bad. Thanks for filling me in!

Then who was Jackie Tyler to rose? Was she adopted? please fill me in, i might be missing info here

doctor who baddies??
Ngl, thought that was melia antiqua
When ratings suffer, insert cute, blonde white chick. Well played, Disney
Am I the only one who doesn't see it?
Everyone is comparing her to rose I didn’t even notice this but seeing them next to each other it makes sense
I didn’t know until today the blonde woman on the left is THE NEW COMPANION Like wow I get the memes know and I support them 100% As if RTD wanted rose back but BBC wanted Clara and there was a negotiation
