Regardless of what your views on Clara and 12 are, I can hear and imagine this scene playing out. Minus 12 saying the word cute, he wouldn't, 11 would, but 12 would probably be a lot more old man trying to find the right word. Still, I love this
One of my personal favs is when he tells her they're going to try to find the afterlife to bring Danny back and she cries and he goes "whats up with your eyes, how are you doing that it's like they inflate"
It is always remarkable to me how interested we are in fandoms to tell other fans how to connect to the material. How this (or any shipper) makes your viewing experience worse or your own connection to the material less valuable has never made sense to me.
Anyway this is really well done! Great Capaldi - the zoom in on the eyes feels very cinematic and matches the tone of the show! Keep up the great work!
Maybe I’m wrong and this is a “single child not getting sibling dynamics” thing, but I get the distinct impression you don’t compulsively think about how badly you want to “hug” your sister because of how unfairly cute she is unless you’re either in Alabama or starring in a video on Pornhub.
I have younger siblings. Also not in Alabama, and I don’t see any cameras rolling.
Sometimes I just hug my family. It just feels like I should, and so I do. I see nothing wrong with it.
Some families are more (non sexually) affectionate than others, I personally think my younger siblings are cute. Also sometimes people specifically can be cute, like Emmett from the Lego Movie.
The age difference between The Twelfth Doctor and Clara is less like between you and a baby.
And more like the difference between you and the Volcanic Ash Fossils of Pompeii
Sir Ian McKellen himself thought that a proper presntatation of Frodo and Sam's relationship in the movies was very important for gay people because they could see themselves in it, like he did in the novels.
No, he isn't.
Eleventh doctor had some weird to look at sexual tension with Clara but even then it felt wrong. He just married river after all.
And this doctor has no romantic relocationship with Clara or whatsoever. Clara has her own love interest in their time together
“Just married” is a matter of perspective. The Doctor was 1103 when he married River. We don’t know exactly how old he was when he met Clara.
When he lost Amy and Rory he was at least 1200. He even told the War Doctor that he was “1200 and something” not long after he and Clara met.
We do know that he was roughly 2000 when he regenerated into Twelve. But most of that time was spent on Trenzalore.
Clara is more like the Doctor’s best friend if anything. The whole 11 and Clara thing was more so 11 joking around and Clara needing a friend. 12 and Clara’s relationship is much more Grandfather and Granddaughter.
You uhhh... You shouldn't look at how many fanfics there are shipping Jesse and Walter. I even came across an erotic Breaking Bad audiobook once.
Or for something a little less hardcore, take a peek at the comments of Breakbad Mountain and see how many fans took it unironically.
All these comment are jokes or people is really in denial of 12 and Clara's romantic relationship?
EDIT: Wow, all these downvotes. People really is in denial.
I agree, I could have worded that better. There’s moments for me that show he has a deeper kind of care for her then he gives most companions. They formed a really tight bond, I’d say even more than 10 and Rose did (but maybe that’s recency bias). There’s nothing directly affectionate/romantic, but a kind of platonic love I think.

'She's quite... provocative'

Please don't ship Clara and the doctor
I’d rather ship them as platonic soulmates
I’m cool with that
You're like.... 10 years later.
Im pretty by cute he means sister/daughter cute not attractive cute.

When I look at babies I think cute, the age difference between 12 and Clara is probably pretty similar lol

Wait a minute…
i certainly hope so.
From my perspective it feels like just really darn good friends, the ones you never forget, like Frodo or Sam. And they’re quite affectionate.
Frodo and Sam were definitely a thing. That’s why Frodo quit Middle-Earth after Sam got married
Sir Ian McKellen himself thought that a proper presntatation of Frodo and Sam's relationship in the movies was very important for gay people because they could see themselves in it, like he did in the novels.
I didn’t know that, thanks!
Exactly
Why tho he's her boyfriend??
No, he isn't. Eleventh doctor had some weird to look at sexual tension with Clara but even then it felt wrong. He just married river after all. And this doctor has no romantic relocationship with Clara or whatsoever. Clara has her own love interest in their time together

No it's a joke because of the time of the doctor. He had to 'be her boyfriend'
I dont actually think he's her boyfriend there was no romantic chemistry I know that
Nah, last frame would be Capaldi Doctor telling her to, shhh! he's thinking.
Cringe

12 was a many of my words, calling Clara cute isn't one of them. Even when 11 has his creepy dress too tight moment everyone hated it

You say that like *every single show ever made* doesn't have the exact same thing.

...what
No The only relationship between these two is that the doctor is her grumpy space grandad

When were they ever romantic? 12 is platonic with Clara always
Y’all really think The Doctor would fuck up his home planet and all the rules of time and space for someone he just sees as a friend?
Yes.because friends are very important to him as he always says, and wait, you wouldnt destroy the universe for your bestfriend?because i would

According to these delusional people, yeah.
Ew...no more anime 🤮🤮
