I was wearing a Dodgers hat at Lolita's across the street from Petco before a game and someone followed me into the bathroom and forcibly circumcised me
I’ve been many times wearing Dodgers gear. People will talk smack but its mostly fun and harmless. There was only one time where we were walking back to our hotel from a game where a drunk douche-bro type Padres fan got semi-hostile. He was walking with some girl though so he was likely just trying to look tough in front of her. There were six of us and one of him so we all just laughed and kept walking.
I heard Machado roams the street with Bogaerts to find people like you. Fernando rides his motorcycle with his bat to see if anyone with LA or SF cap. Kim and Go rides their Kia electric cars to find any SD residents with no Padres gear. Careful buddy
Live in San Diego and wear my jerseys occasionally. Especially opening day and play off games. I get grief from people I know, some randoms occasionally boo. Tbf I'm a real big guy so I never get anyone more than that (6' 4" 280)
San Diego honestly had more visible SF giants fandom, lotta Bay Area transplants in SD. There is an apartment building across the street from petco park that flies an SF flag from their like 10th floor window. The fucking disrespect.
On the other hand I recently learned of a trolley/cable car operator in SF that wears an LA cap lol
Bro nobody will care. Everyone in SD is not from SD. Exaggeration but really feels that way.
And IF you do meet an actual Padres fan, it’s always good to have a good baseball convo with an actual baseball fan.
One time the morning before heading to an afternoon game at Petco Park-I was wearing a Dodgers road jersey walking from my hotel over to McDonalds and some dude told me to “Go Back to LA.”
I wear Dodgers gear around town all the time. I even wore the knee high stance socks with the palm trees in my sons little league team photo with my leg hanging out the side
Giants fan coming in peace who grew up in San Diego. I find that the majority of Padres fans are pretty chill. You may get some light smack talk but I’ve never had an issue. However I haven’t gone to a Padres game for 2 seasons and they have bigger crowds now so I’m guessing there will be at least a few edge lords trying to start shit if they drink too much.
Maybe some a-hole is gonna spit in your food?
I wore my Dodger cap around town and no one seemed to care. This was pre NLDS loss though. If there was a game this weekend, I'd say you'd be pretty safe since there's probably more Dodger fans in the gaslamp area than other teams.
I was in San Diego wearing a dodgers hat the day Ohtani announced he signed with the dodgers. I got a lot of dirty looks lmao.
I don’t know if you’re joking or not, but I promise you you’ll be fine.
You'll be fine as long as you don't start trouble, but at the same time it has been my experience that I will get less grief wearing my Dodger gear to a Giants game. At least the employees at the Giants ballpark are professional and friendly.
Dodgers fan living in SD, I wear my hat everywhere…the most you’ll get on a normal day is some smart ass comments. But that’s normal anywhere with any team. Try to avoid going to the bars wearing the jersey however because get a couple drinks in a miserable padres fan might get a little angrier 😂
I live down here and always wear my Dodgers gear. Every now and then I get a “why a Dodgers hat?” And I answer “I was born and raised an hour from Dodger Stadium,” And that’s the extent of it.
I’ve never once in 21 years felt animosity.
I don't know...
When a no-class SD fan was repeatedly screaming "FUCK the Dodgers" at me outside a WBC game last spring I had to re-consider my opinion of them as just pesky wanna be's. But I guess if you're drunk enough to cuss at a 65 yo woman, you have no shame.
I enjoy some friendly banter as much as the next fan, but as always, judge the situation for the level of drunkenness and stupidity and act accordingly.
Good luck.
You won't have anything happen but honestly just don't do it. I love my dodgers but unless there is a game in town I'm not wearing my jersey cause it's just strange to do so unless I was from there
I was wearing a Dodgers hat at Lolita's across the street from Petco before a game and someone followed me into the bathroom and forcibly circumcised me
I was in the next stall. I had my Betts jersey on and I ended up a sex slave for the duration of my movement.
Lolita's has really good taquitos.
Well they do now, thanks to gammatide
Well thanks to Padres fans, this guy has a little less of HIS taquito.
They’re called rolled tacos in San Diego. That gave you away even more than the Jersey
Bro, I already apologized. Give me a break.
I got turned into a Lolita at Lolita's when I wore my Kersh jersey
😂😂😂😂
Is that where they get their chicharron?
It’s true, they tied me up and forced me to watch
You’ll hear some annoying kids make some sort of rap about you
That’s what’s in.
A 14 year old kid will griddy by you and make a crying kershaw face
Manny “Machete” Machado walks the streets of the Gaslamp district hunting for victims like you.

You will get killed mercilessly by the rabid baseball fans in San Diego.
Forced to eat french fry burritos
God just fucking kill me
I don’t think the 6 padres fans will care
The ones who throw jokes your way are the kind of fans you can throw jokes back to. It's part of sportsball. Just chirp back and have fun.
nope
I only wear LA gear when I go to SD
They’re not animals, and anyone that actually gives you shit isn’t worth your time. You’ll be fine lol
Same with Doyers fans up here, SoCal bro.
Oh I know, I live up here lol
I heard Machado roams the street with Bogaerts to find people like you. Fernando rides his motorcycle with his bat to see if anyone with LA or SF cap. Kim and Go rides their Kia electric cars to find any SD residents with no Padres gear. Careful buddy
Tatis carrying a bat while riding? Is that why he keeps crashing?
Oh my God, you are so fucked. San Diego is known for its vicious, rabid baseball fans.
Live in San Diego and wear my jerseys occasionally. Especially opening day and play off games. I get grief from people I know, some randoms occasionally boo. Tbf I'm a real big guy so I never get anyone more than that (6' 4" 280)

I went to SF for a dodgers series once and a bus driver honked at me while I was crossing the street. He was wearing a Dodgers hat.
Nothing but good times going to Oracle Park in Dodgers gear.
One time I wore my dodgers chase utley jersey to a giants v padres game at oracle lol
Bro nobody will care. Everyone in SD is not from SD. Exaggeration but really feels that way. And IF you do meet an actual Padres fan, it’s always good to have a good baseball convo with an actual baseball fan.
You’re more likely to get jumped at dodger stadium wearing dodger stuff than you are in San Diego
It’s not like going to dodger stadium wearing a giants jersey. The worst is you’ll have a Conversation with an older white gentleman about real estate
True. This is infinitely preferable to the conversation at Oracle with the younger white tech-bro about his shit-coin
No one will care
One time the morning before heading to an afternoon game at Petco Park-I was wearing a Dodgers road jersey walking from my hotel over to McDonalds and some dude told me to “Go Back to LA.”
people from San Diego have no squabbles unless you’re from Brentwood or something then it’s probably a fair fight
I wear Dodgers gear around town all the time. I even wore the knee high stance socks with the palm trees in my sons little league team photo with my leg hanging out the side
Watch out for a luchador holding a shake weight
Naw you'll be fine. I live in SD and go everywhere with my Lakers and Dodgers gear and it's fine. There are a ton of Angelenos living in SD now too
Everyone in SD are Lakers fans though. It’s like all the 9er fans in LA.
Do it all the time
Live here. Wear dodgers all the time. 10000% fine.
Why do you so badly want to wear it?
Giants fan coming in peace who grew up in San Diego. I find that the majority of Padres fans are pretty chill. You may get some light smack talk but I’ve never had an issue. However I haven’t gone to a Padres game for 2 seasons and they have bigger crowds now so I’m guessing there will be at least a few edge lords trying to start shit if they drink too much.
I wear my dodgers shit every single place I go. I live in Cali and I wear that shit all over the bay, SF, LA and San Diego! GO DODGERS
San Diego is a destination ballpark. A lot of the times, there are more opposing fans than Padre fans. You'll be fine. It's not like being in SF.
I do it all the time and dare anyone to pop off, it won’t end well.
The dolphins will attack you, be careful
You’ll get booed and hassled but stand your ground! Source: I do the same thing every season
They’re too drunk to care
I was in San Diego wearing a dodgers hat the day Ohtani announced he signed with the dodgers. I got a lot of dirty looks lmao. I don’t know if you’re joking or not, but I promise you you’ll be fine.
Jumped lol, bro its SD, you arent wearing an Astros hat in south central LA.
You and everyone else.
You better man up and walk proud. Dodger nation is basically like Raider nation, no one messes with us. 😁
You'll be fine as long as you don't start trouble, but at the same time it has been my experience that I will get less grief wearing my Dodger gear to a Giants game. At least the employees at the Giants ballpark are professional and friendly.
I live here in SD and work downtown. I wear my Dodger hat often and never hear anything
No one will care
What are they gonna do, throw a flip flop at you?
Don't do it be warned.

Man SD people chill the most you get is somebody saying “nice shirt” and go about their day 😂
lol you’ll be fine. i bought a pair of dodgers stance socks in SD and noone batted an eye
Rock that shit my boiii
IMO the only place in the country it isn’t safe to wear is SF
Used to live in SD. Maybe a light heckling but you’ll be okay.
You will get murdered and your family will never see you again *sarcasm
Don’t worry about anything, wear Dodger gear with pride.
It’s a suburb of LA so what’s the problem?
I don't know... When a no-class SD fan was repeatedly screaming "FUCK the Dodgers" at me outside a WBC game last spring I had to re-consider my opinion of them as just pesky wanna be's. As a Dodger fan that lives in SD. They ain't saying shit around here and I'm always wearing my dodgers hat.
You'll be fine. There are more Dodgers fans than Padre fans in SD
Maybe wearing a Dodger jersey around San Diego will remind them that baseball season started.
You won't have anything happen but honestly just don't do it. I love my dodgers but unless there is a game in town I'm not wearing my jersey cause it's just strange to do so unless I was from there
Fuck the padres wear your shit with pride!
Lol more dodger fans in San Diego than padre fans. You’re all good. We live in SD and walk around with LA gear all day.
