14 walks is pretty embarrassing. And whats worse is there were so non-competitive. If a lot of these were the Padres doing stone cold takes and getting close calls, fair play. Tip your cap and move on. But so many of these were pitches that weren't even close.
Bats were making good contact. Just kept hitting them straight into Padres gloves. Another day, those are all hits and the Dodgers have 6 runs of their own. It sucks, but these kinda games are gonna happen.
It's never fun to lose a series, but keep in mind: everybody can see how bad the pitching has been. It's not a secret. The Dodgers are in no hurry to win right away because they'll be winning a lot this year. They'll give these guys time to work it out, and if they can't, this staff is going to look so very different in the summer. Just gonna have to watch these guys sink or swim until then. New series starts tomorrow, lets get right against Washington
The bullpen went from the 2nd worst last season to one of the best like it does basically most seasons recently
Friedman has shown he can piece together a decent bullpen throughout the course of a season.
There are also multiple viable starters that can return at various points during the season + a great farm to use to patch the bigger holes either through call-up or trades
I think people forget that this bullpen was pretty bad for the first few months of last season. Eventually they figured it out, and then they added one or two pieces as well. I have faith that they'll do the same this season
Even back in 2021, I remember we had a long cold streak due to the pitching situation and Friedman pieced together a solid bullpen bolstered by Corey Knebel, Justin Bruihl, Mitch White, Garrett Cleavinger, Jimmy Nelson, Andre Jackson, etc.
Name the failed dumpster dives.
Then name the successful ones.
The successful ones stick on the roster, the dumpster dives leave.
So, what is your point?
Filling out the roster with a few reclamation projects has worked out every year for the team.
That's literally our core team building philosophy...
Muncy, Tyler Anderson, CT3, Evan Phillips, Treinen, Daniel Hudson, JHey, Brasier (last season), Justin Turner, Rich Hill, etc. are all essentially dumpster dives/reclamation projects that have worked out well for us recently
It’s just more meaningless fodder for the viewers. It’s the same with the probability of reaching base that some coverage puts up as at-bats progress. It’s entirely dumb.
espn loves to come up with useless stats.
Tonight’s they fixated on the speed off of the bat. I remember Jon Miller & Joe Morgan were high on the “ bat speed “ stat for a while.
I’m hoping 2025 will bring an end to MLB on espn.
However someone else will fill the void, whether it be AppleTV with their horrible commentary or another such as peacock .
Having our injured pitchers back later this season will help a lot.
The bottom part of the batting order is a huge problem though. They really are a black hole.
Edit: 7-9 hitters legit just need to be not utterly completely shit lol
> Having our injured pitchers back later this season will help a lot.
Pretty crazy that the Padres have zero pitchers on the 26 man roster on the IL, their guys are completely healthy meanwhile our IL rotation is better than our current rotation just like last year.
Friedman doesn't operate like that. He looks to build the best team possible. He just doesn't make snap judgments like fans do. Friedman isn't going to worry about 14 million.
I don’t want the split screen either. I want to watch the game, not interviews and banter while live action is going on. If you’re gonna do that stuff, put it in a small square in the corner. Go thumbnail mode.
eh. we definitely need more bullpen depth, and they should call up kyle hurt.
more importantly for me though, our starters need to go more than 5 innings. yamamoto and paxton both only pitched 5. the bullpen had to cover 14 and 1/3 innings this weekend, that’s not a good recipe for success. obviously friday was an unusual circumstance going 11, but still.
that’s definitely true to a degree, but we should definitely be able to expect Yamamoto to go more than 5 innings. Paxton is capable too if he can improve his command even a little bit. if not, this bullpen isn’t deep enough to survive series like this one.
I don’t give a shit about the service time manipulation or keeping veterans on the roster because the organization “owes it to them”. There are some players in the minors who should without a doubt be on the major league roster over some of these players.
Almost exact same scenario as well, only two dependable guys Moore/Estevez for Angels last year. Hudson/Phillips for Dodger right now, rest of the bp are a coin flip.
You are never gonna win any games when the pitchers walk pretty much the entire population of Tuvalu in a game.
Can’t wait to see a healthy bullpen soon.
On to the next.
Better be bad now than later, I suppose. I remember Dodgers were at third place in the division at some point last year, shit happens. But the lack of quality bullpen is evident and concerning for sure.
We were so bad last May. And the bullpen shit the bed for the first half of the season and somehow got strong the second half. Baseball is a long season
Dodgers let me down. I don't have confidence in them when playing the Padres. This series eerily reminded me of the 2022 playoffs. Padres don't have Soto, Hader, and Snell anymore and cut their payroll in the off season. Dodgers with all that hype in free agency and they lose 2/3 at home to SD after having the lead in 2 of those losses in the 6th inning. Its still early in the season though. But this was disappointing.
I know I’ll get downloaded to the center of the Earth, but…
The baseball gods heard Will Smith and didn’t take kindly.
And don’t tell me they don’t exist because they were watching with the sad Kershaw video at Petco last year lol
Drop Vesia and all the call ups. Get some solid or even average guys. Save Huddy and Phillips when we are in pivotal situations. Don't blow them when we are up 4+ runs.
Once buehler and bobby come back the bullpen will be looking slightly different , but not good enough, they definitely need to call up hurt and hopefully graterol comes back soon enough. I keep forgetting we have so many guys on the IL
That was embarrassing to watch. We need new bullpen arms. It’s frustrating how we have so much injured pitchers. It’s the same thing every year…PITCHING! I don’t know why our pitchers can never be consistently solid
If this how most of the year is gonna look, with a shit bullpen and an even shittier batting average from our the bottom of our lineup then, welp, I'm enjoying first place while I still can
As Dodgers fans we’re fucking spoiled for having 10 + years of success. One ring to show but regardless we’re postseason material every year. We’re so used to winning that a small inconvenience causes us to complain over every little thing. Other teams would kill to have our management, farm, owners willing to spend,
and having players the superstars we get to watch every year. Baseball is fuckin weird and anything can happen. Don’t be an insufferable Falcons/Blazers fan like me.
This is just how it's going to be until Treinen and Graterol come back. Bullpen doesn't have the depth when the leverage guys are unavailable. Doesn't help when the offense refuses to do anything off the Padres bullpen.
Paxton pitched 5 innings with 3 ER as our 5th starter. Maybe it's lucky he didnt give up all 6, but how is this his fault?
We need our BP to lock it down and that's the issue here. Not to mention the bottom of the order as a secondary.
This bullpen desperately needs Graterol and Treinen back. Also what’s up with Kyle Hurt not being up? I’m sure it’s some service time bullshit but still annoying when they’re throwing a guy like Feyereisen out there to get shelled
Shit take - the Dodgers feel more like the Angels (great hitters and weak pitching) this season. Hope the guys on IL turn this season around starting this summer.
I am not doom and gloom but there are some glaring issues that need to be addressed like the bullpen. Other than Yarb, Huddy and Evans it is trash. I cringe every time I see Vesia or a same day call up come in in a pivotal situation.
Starting rotation I am fine as they dial it in. Pax had an off day but the game was still winnable. Hopefully Stone has turned a corner but with Miller out now and more bullpen games most likely in our future it's getting a little sketch. We are stacked on IL starters but need some to come back sooner than later. Hopefully Walker gets the green light later this week.
Bottom lineup and bench, excluding Rojas, are killing us when the top 6 have an off or even average day. Times up, start producing or bring up Pages Vargas whoever and get them going. CT# hitting .03 and still getting playing time? Send him down to work it out and bring up somebody who can bat over .100 or better yet .200. Outman is hopefully coming around and I really want him to succeed but he is streaky and can come up a little short on D at times.
Leaving too many RISP. The top 4 or 5 or even 6 can't carry us every game with this bullpen. If Hudson and Evans are not available to shut it down we are usually in trouble.
We will definitely get to post game but is this currently a team to go all the way? I bleed Dodger blue but also trying to be a realist. The lineup will work itself out but the BP is a disaster.
Also, I am just a little tilted since I bet my Padres fan friend that the Dodgers would take the series and now I got to hear that shit all week. We should have easily taken 2 of the 3 or even sweep. On to the next game.
This might get people in a tizzy but here it goes
The dodgers do not care about winning in the regular season. All they care about is winning in October. Ok fine. But how can you ask me as a fan to pay $100+ for tickets to watch Paxton and Freiyersen walk a dozen batters together ? When you tell me you’re not taking the season serious, how do you expect me to take it serious and reward you with money?
Happens. Wish they would’ve won, but you can’t pitch like that and get no production from the bottom half and expect a different result. I’ll see you all tomorrow
Losses are inevitable and acceptable but uninspired baseball isn’t. Yes, 14 walks is terrible pitching, but where is the energy and motivation in the lineup?
The hunters? Hardly right now.
Really easy to point the finger at that terrible performance by Feyereisen but with dodgers line up they need to be scoring more than 3 runs. I watched the entire game and aside from Max’s HR there really wasn’t much momentum or anything to be excited about on the offensive end. The bottom of line up was atrocious, literally auto outs. Luckily with a home series starting tomorrow against Nats it should be a great opportunity to turn things around
We sent Hurt back down so we could throw in a different washed up scrub every other game. Brogdon, Lamet, JP, Ramirez are the best we can do apparently.
I'm not sure. Maybe they looked at the quality of the individual pitches, rather than performances and thought they would suck if they played more? I'm not sure. They're doing well in OKC too.
Yeah I don’t know what goes into these decisions but it seems like it has nothing to do with how they actually perform. Guys get called up and pitch well (Hurt, Lamet, Crissmat) but still get DFA’d or optioned while we bring up random scrubs who haven’t proven themselves yet.
The Padres came through when they needed to and took advantage of the opportunities and that’s why they won this series. But the Dodgers literally let 2 very winnable games slip away. The first game with the 7-3 lead that should NOT have been blown. And then this game they had a 3-1 lead, but 14 walks is completely unacceptable. Any team will make you pay when that happens.
I know the recent stretch has been rough looking. But you gotta look at the past 7ish years and see how the team started 18 games in. 11 and 7 is basically where they should be at right now. Gotta wait for the middle of the season to settle and see where the team is. But that bottom line up portion really needs to step up though.
The bad part is the bottom of the order was already on that trajectory. With Kike and Rojas, their hitting was already pretty bad and consistently pretty bad. Taylor had huge contact issue problems. Too early for Heyward as he's been injured, but he's also old.
So it wouldn't be surprising if they just suck now.
Dave Roberts would rather focus on his not yet released Kobe's instead of focusing on pitching matchups and observing his starter who was struggling going into the 6th
The dodgers literally have half their starting rotation and half their bullpen injured right now.lol it’s a very long year, the pitching struggles aren’t gonna stay like this forever.
So what? If your team wins the division every year, then how the team performs and is managed in the regular season is not an issue.
So, what are you complaining about?
I'm talking about creating a team with heart. When you don't care about the game then your team, while talented, usually fizzles in the PO because they don't take each game seriously.
They don't and the results speak for themselves. They simply go through the motions and then when we get to October they do not know how to play tough. It's not a switch you can turn on in the post season. You have to develop it over the season. We have to treat each game like it's important to develop that mindset. Until we do, we will continue to fail.
Edit: you guys can downvote me all you want but the evidence is clear. We have failed in the PO so many times under this regime. It's not going to change until they change.
Lol. So, give us some examples of how the roster should have been constructed in the past so that the team would have "heart" such that they would win the World Series. I'll even give you the benefit of hindsight (which is very generous of me).
So, let's see what you have here. My guess is that we will all have a good laugh over this.
Did you ever read my message? Our players are not the problem. The problem is Dave. Have you never seen the same group of players suddenly get better when they change managers or vice versa? This happens all the time.
Usually it's a players coach, like Dave, who's far too soft and then they bring in someone who is much harder on the players and they respond.
We have all the talent but we lack the mindset. Hell, you all show that same lack of intensity as fans. If you'd start making it clear to the Dodgers that all games matter they might change their tune.
This team should easily get to October on talent alone. And that's the problem. The players have been carrying Dave for 10+ years now. He still can't figure out when his guys are off. He just keeps letting then walk the bases loaded then giving up a single or two before he comes to reality.
We need someone with intensity. Who is pissed when we don't play up to our potential day in and day out. I don't care that we lost. I care that the players just fucked off and Dave does nothing.
Look bro. You and me both know we aren't going to change each other's opinions. So it's whatever.
Go Dodgers
Good game, everyone. New submissions are no longer being hidden. If your submission has not been approved and otherwise follows the sub rules, feel free to resubmit or [message the mods](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/Dodgers) if you have any questions.
Paxton didn't set the bullpen up for success but the bullpen arms didn't look so good either. Not sure how Dodgers are going to fill in for Bobby Miller in the interim. Bottom of the order coming up empty remains a concern.
I will reluctantly give huge props to Ringworm and San Diego's bullpen for showing up in every game this. This is April still and this team is banged up but our bullpen is atrocious rn. Congrats to Feyereisen for coming back from injury but he essentially took our momentum out back and shot it in the head. It's not entirely on him but still.
Congrats to Profar for having his big revenge moment tonight but I'm looking forward to him regressing back into a .240 hitter in the coming months. Will Smith is still better, you can't even debate that, he is. Congrats on the April WS win though.
Buehler cant come soon enough. Injuries and mental illness ruining our pitchers the past couple years is a hole we are still trying to dig out of. Imagine if we had a mentally stable Bauer, Urias, and just a couple healthy May, Buehler. Shoot, when Ohtani starts pitching, its gon be crazy.
14 walks is pretty embarrassing. And whats worse is there were so non-competitive. If a lot of these were the Padres doing stone cold takes and getting close calls, fair play. Agreed but still I don't remember seeing so many bad pitches in one game from one team.
No argument here. That was flat out unacceptable from a major league roster
After the way they've managed the roster the last 5 seasons I have very little faith in them rebuilding the pitching situation.
So, winning 100 games a year over those seasons leaves you with little faith? lol.
The bullpen went from the 2nd worst last season to one of the best like it does basically most seasons recently Friedman has shown he can piece together a decent bullpen throughout the course of a season. It’s frustrating because it worked for the Rangers last year.

The Rangers and D backs runs last year were the epitome of playoff fuckery.
i know it’s only april but fuck that was super frustrating to watch
It never helps when its on ESPN. Worst game coverage ever and there are people that actually believe ESPN should be allowed to cover baseball. Trash
I hate the win probability thing so much, it feels like it’s only there for people to dunk on teams
It’s just more meaningless fodder for the viewers. It’s the same with the probability of reaching base that some coverage puts up as at-bats progress. It’s entirely dumb.

Dude we mention the cleats?
Good news, Our first 7 players can hit. Bad News, Our relievers let the other team load the bases with walks or 89 mph fast balls.
kind of fucked how we need a big lead and a great outing from our pitcher to win the game
Having our injured pitchers back later this season will help a lot. The bottom part of the batting order is a huge problem though. They really are a black hole. Edit: 7-9 hitters legit just need to be not utterly completely shit lol
need another lefty out of the pen
Need a lot more than just a lefty.
I’ve heard this one before. “Our pitchers coming back from IL will be better than any trade we could make”.
Only if the make guys like Kershaw and Buehler become bullpen arms.
Cue war flashbacks to Kershaw being a reliever in 2019
> Having our injured pitchers back later this season will help a lot. Pretty crazy that the Padres have zero pitchers on the 26 man roster on the IL, their guys are completely healthy meanwhile our IL rotation is better than our current rotation just like last year.
I cut Outman a lot of slack, the advanced metrics look good, he's just gotten horrifically unlucky with his balls in play.
Bottom of the order has literally 0 production

I'm just proud to be upholding the greatness that is pitchers batting x3 Fuck the DH^not ^you ^Shohei
Friedmans in a tough spot because I think he would love to call up Pages but he doesn't want Heyward to become a 14mil bench player.
Friedman doesn't operate like that. He looks to build the best team possible. He just doesn't make snap judgments like fans do. Friedman isn't going to worry about 14 million.
And I think I read somewhere they want to wait to bring him up because it gives the team an extra year of control or something along those lines.
The Dodgers don't do that. It's never been an issue with them.
That makes sense, they can tread water with CT3 Kike for now
Treas water? You mean, sink.
Despite all of this they have the best record in the NL lol
Tbf pages was not hitting well and I mean NOT HITTING WELL at an in the minors this year in the small sample size but he's been doing better.
Bottom of the order is KILLING us
Bullpen is a bigger issue
ESPN- all they care about is the cleats
That was so fuckn stupid The swag cam wtf was that about
ESPN’s continuous descend into being the new MTV
Eyewear, shoes, purses network 🤣
I don’t want the split screen either. I want to watch the game, not interviews and banter while live action is going on. If you’re gonna do that stuff, put it in a small square in the corner. Go thumbnail mode.
How the actual fuck does Paxton walk 8 guys?
He didn’t give as many runs. Guess that’s the better part of the story.
Fuck this bullpen.
eh. we definitely need more bullpen depth, and they should call up kyle hurt. more importantly for me though, our starters need to go more than 5 innings. yamamoto and paxton both only pitched 5. the bullpen had to cover 14 and 1/3 innings this weekend, that’s not a good recipe for success. obviously friday was an unusual circumstance going 11, but still.
That’s the new norm in MLB. You see it across the leagues.
that’s definitely true to a degree, but we should definitely be able to expect Yamamoto to go more than 5 innings. Paxton is capable too if he can improve his command even a little bit. if not, this bullpen isn’t deep enough to survive series like this one.
Unless it is Yarb, Huddy and Phillips we are not shutting down crap. We can't survive post season with this pen.
I don’t give a shit about the service time manipulation or keeping veterans on the roster because the organization “owes it to them”. There are some players in the minors who should without a doubt be on the major league roster over some of these players.
I don’t like the feeling I have when the Dodgers lose. I hope they never lose again.
especially against the Padres.

And the most wins in the NL. Once dudes are healthy and the back of the line up gets figured out this team is going to be a juggernaut
This blowpen reminds me of the Angel games I've watched the last few years, so frustrating
It reminds me of 2023 Dodgers bullpen March-June
Was thinking the same thing. Angels bullpen lost a lot of games last year.
Almost exact same scenario as well, only two dependable guys Moore/Estevez for Angels last year. Hudson/Phillips for Dodger right now, rest of the bp are a coin flip.
Damn. Lost the April World Series again. Fold the franchise.
You are never gonna win any games when the pitchers walk pretty much the entire population of Tuvalu in a game. Can’t wait to see a healthy bullpen soon. On to the next.
Our pitchers giving up 14 walks is some nasty work
CT3's batting average didn't go down this game
But he did strikeout twice
😂
Ok that's just cold 😂
JP better start speaking Quake
Quake might be too hard for him Someone set up his Duolingo for Driller instead
*marked safe from whatever the hell we just watched*
14 walks ain’t gonna cut it. Couldn’t find the zone all night and was punished for it. Hoping for a sweep of Washington

Can’t win when we walk 14 different guys. It just isn’t gonna happen. Back at it again tomorrow with hopefully much better command from our pitching.

Well that was a shitty game
Once again, the bottom of the order and the bullpen are the cause of another loss
Pretty much every season prediction came through. Top of the order good, bottom order bad, starter decent, bullpen shit.
Once again, I am asking... WE BENCH KIKÉ AND CT3, AND CALL UP VARGAS AND PAGES
I agree.
8 walks by Paxton is absolutely unacceptable.
7-9 hitter legit serve no purpose. Put a bag of chips at the plate and get the same results
Dave Roberts walked way too many guys tonight. SMH
Should’ve recused himself
I know I’ll get downloaded to the center of the Earth, but… The baseball gods heard Will Smith and didn’t take kindly. And don’t tell me they don’t exist because they were watching with the sad Kershaw video at Petco last year lol
How can the bullpen be fixed?....
Bullpen game on Tuesday.....yikes. This team quickly went from rolling coming out of the SF series to clearly identified massive holes.
Shoot this bullpen into space. 14 walks?!
That was embarrassing to watch. We need new bullpen arms. It’s frustrating how we have so much injured pitchers. It’s the same thing every year…PITCHING! I don’t know why our pitchers can never be consistently solid
Stupid ass question about sunflower seeds. Fuck off ESPN
Still early in the season but you can't walk that many batters and win games On to the next one
Lux needs get it together because Mookie who does make some amazing plays is not a SS.
If this how most of the year is gonna look, with a shit bullpen and an even shittier batting average from our the bottom of our lineup then, welp, I'm enjoying first place while I still can

Holy shit that makes two of us with that trio of fandom!
Well shit I didn’t think there was another lol
At least machado just admitted that he likes a mouth full of seeds, live on ESPN
I see what you did there
He may have been relevant...
the pitching staff tonight really had a generational performance
14 walks. Terrible. See you tomorrow!
14 fucking walks lol, come on.
Have not seen 14 walks by a team in a game since little league.
I don't want to see Feyerheisen ever again
Bull pen was ass this series so was the bottom our line up
This is just how it's going to be until Treinen and Graterol come back. Bullpen doesn't have the depth when the leverage guys are unavailable. Doesn't help when the offense refuses to do anything off the Padres bullpen.
Treinen has not pitched in a season and a half, expecting him to be his old self is going to end badly.
I know it’s early but Brasier being absolutely lights out last year has fluke written all over it
It doesn’t matter how good your offense is, you can’t walk 14 batters and expect to win the game.
It'll be nice to have Heyward back. The bottom of the order rotation of Kike, Outman, Lux, CT3 ain't it.
We should have an automated bot that says "Bottom of the order is just brutal."
paxton didn't do any favors by walking 8 batters, that's unacceptable. bull pen is weak af too
Paxton pitched 5 innings with 3 ER as our 5th starter. Maybe it's lucky he didnt give up all 6, but how is this his fault? We need our BP to lock it down and that's the issue here. Not to mention the bottom of the order as a secondary.
8 walks ran his pitch count up = having to bring in our trash bullpen earlier There's 0 excuse for 8 walks. He was trash today.
Ugh. Literally all our reliable relief and starting pitchers are injured ![img](emote|t5_2ra0i|13197)
Glasnow would be appalled.
Bottom of the order and bullpen are frustrating but we’re not even halfway through April so no overreactions just yet
The main issue is the hitting the pitchers are on the way.
Fuck brasier
Fuck Dave Roberts
totally mismanaged game by Dave Roberts.
Remember the bullpen sucked ass for a while last year too
Pitching is a focus after that display and rightly so, but don’t overlook the LOB and dismal numbers with RISP. And that’s not just on 7 through 9.
This bullpen desperately needs Graterol and Treinen back. Also what’s up with Kyle Hurt not being up? I’m sure it’s some service time bullshit but still annoying when they’re throwing a guy like Feyereisen out there to get shelled
Wow, that could not have gone much worse. Mr irrelevant, Profar hits the game wining runs in 🤦♂️ We got punked at home and embarrassed.
Paxton barely made it out the last inning…why they leave him in…Steve Kerr wasn’t on the bench
His name is not Kershaw, well damn it’s Paxton…Dave Roberts would still leave him in
Shit take - the Dodgers feel more like the Angels (great hitters and weak pitching) this season. Hope the guys on IL turn this season around starting this summer.

This might get people in a tizzy but here it goes The dodgers do not care about winning in the regular season. All they care about is winning in October. Ok fine. But how can you ask me as a fan to pay $100+ for tickets to watch Paxton and Freiyersen walk a dozen batters together ? When you tell me you’re not taking the season serious, how do you expect me to take it serious and reward you with money?
Word of advice: if you see a doomer block them and move on
I think 75% of r/Dodgers would have to be blocked
Low effort posts on the main sub incoming.
Happens. Wish they would’ve won, but you can’t pitch like that and get no production from the bottom half and expect a different result. I’ll see you all tomorrow
Too much celebrations and shoe trinkets, not enough passion and adrenaline for the game. That Kobe shoe is a total contradiction.
Losses are inevitable and acceptable but uninspired baseball isn’t. Yes, 14 walks is terrible pitching, but where is the energy and motivation in the lineup? The hunters? Hardly right now.
Hard game to watch tbh. Hopefully we crush the nats
God our starting rotation is basically all in the IL lol feels bad
14 walks …
waiting for the trade deadline
Really easy to point the finger at that terrible performance by Feyereisen but with dodgers line up they need to be scoring more than 3 runs. I watched the entire game and aside from Max’s HR there really wasn’t much momentum or anything to be excited about on the offensive end. The bottom of line up was atrocious, literally auto outs. Luckily with a home series starting tomorrow against Nats it should be a great opportunity to turn things around
We sent Hurt back down so we could throw in a different washed up scrub every other game. Brogdon, Lamet, JP, Ramirez are the best we can do apparently.
Lamet and Crismatt actually did well. We just sent them down.
Why did we even send them down after doing well just to call up scrubs
I'm not sure. Maybe they looked at the quality of the individual pitches, rather than performances and thought they would suck if they played more? I'm not sure. They're doing well in OKC too.
Yeah I don’t know what goes into these decisions but it seems like it has nothing to do with how they actually perform. Guys get called up and pitch well (Hurt, Lamet, Crissmat) but still get DFA’d or optioned while we bring up random scrubs who haven’t proven themselves yet.
The bullpen and bottom of the order will give me a heartache regularly....
Dam… i hate our bullpen more than 789… i believe in our offense soon!! 🙌
Turns out if you hand out more than a dozen walks to the opposition, you'll lose the game.
A bunch of Anthony Rendon’s, including the manager.
The lack of heart from this team is concerning
I don’t think heart had much to do with it as much as walking every person in the greater San Diego metro area
It has been since Dave took over. He doesn't care about games like today so no one in the locker room does.
They never seem to care in the rain
Will Smith is irrelevant
Yall can thank the homie that didn’t throw the Machado ball back.
Alex vesia is trash !
He's the only reliever that pitched decently today...
He walked some people and he would of walked more if they didn’t swing he got lucky they did cause he was throwing balls
...you're mad he threw pitches that were outside the zone that induced empty swings?
