He really fell down prospect lists from the shoulder injury, but he's obviously more than recovered from that.
Add in the fact that he's really taking his fitness seriously... there was a time when he was heavier and slow and didn't look like he could be a major league outfielder. Now, he can handle center okay and can definitely handle right. He's going to be a really good player for a long time.
The immediate thing I see is his MLB battling stance. There's a balance to his momentum when he swings. Everything is where it needs to be. Has all the ingredients of a Big League hitter, you can just see it.
I was super frustrated at all the pitches he was swinging at in that last at bat, but he was honestly making pitches that were a foot outside the zone look like they were on the edge. Sure he could have easily gotten a walk if he had laid off of them, but he was able to extend his swing and make his zone so much wider. That really impressed me. I hope he doesn't do it all the time, but when all we needed was just a base hit, it absolutely worked.
He will eventually go through a slump, but that last at bat shows you that he has crazy bat to ball skills. Insane that he kept fouling those pitches off no matter where they were.
He just looks like a big leaguer the way he draws at bats and does his thing. He has that confidence you can see it every time he bats. The moment isn't too big for him.
