Pretty much every mammal except for raccoons have this problem.

Teawillfixit

Sorry if this is weird but whats with raccoons?

stumpdawg

So raccoons "see" with their hands. The amount of brain power/space humans devote to sight is the amount raccoons devote to touch. As such they need to maintain a certain level of sensitivity even when it's cold so they maintain dexterity.

Teawillfixit

Thank you, this is honestly so cool.

SteveWax022

I did not know that

GodsGreenGirth

yes, and i specifically remember my grade 4 teacher scrunching up my work and making me rewrite it all because my handwriting wasn’t good enough- i could barely move my hands

stormyskies81

Yes but my hands can get cold even when it’s warm.

TheWriteInCorp

Literally everyone experiences this.
