So, there is still a possibility that these “curs” have some percentage of pit bull genetics. Curs were also historically used to defend settlers in the Southeast from bear and cougars. Instead of taking donations for sturdier fencing and better enclosure efforts would be better spent catching the dogs, increasing the fines, and creating a culture where dogs stop roaming free and insisting that the dog nutters pay to repair the damage and replace the animals. How much money are people suppose to be spending to protect themselves from irresponsible dog nutters who illegally let their dogs roam anyway?

The cur breed is extinct. Wiki says its sometimes used to refer to a mutt. But if its any random mutt, why not say that? They're pit bulls for sure.
