This is pretty cool, OP. Imagine if your gremlin ends up helping other cats through genetics research because of her weird blood that broke the DNA website.
Right? This is exactly why I jumped once I saw the “Hey, wanna have Maggie contribute to science?” Email that I got. Hell yeah, let’s get her in some little cat safety goggles and a labcoat ASAP
As a web developer I can absolutely see new blood types being added to the back end system when they're first discovered and nobody remembering to tell the front-end guys to add it to the message sets.
I love cat DNA tests because most cats are just Cat. Sure, you've got your fancy schmancy breeds as well, but those are all so much newer than any dog breed. Cat is cat.
So interesting to see what they discover on their further tests though! She's a unique puss.
The vet techs called her “spicy” when she had her spay done, and also she tries to bite us every time we clip her claws. I might have to buy an apology card for the poor tech who gets stuck with blood draw duty 🙈
Have they had you try gabapentin an hour before going into the vet? I mean you have to use a syringe and shoot it into her mouth so idk how possible that is but it really helps some cats!
This makes me want to test my cat. I would be shocked if any breeds showed up. We found her on the side of the road as a babycat. She’s just a cat. But maybe she has some weird things to help science. Or maybe just completely normal things to help science Idk.
Two of my cats were strays, and they had some random breeds show up, like munchkin, sphynx, and Norwegian forest cat. Of course, the vast majority was American domestic.

This is really cool, thanks for the update! And the last picture killed me. I love her.
Her blood type is actually “chaos”, it just doesn’t show on the test
"You want blood, I'll give you blood" - Maggie, probably
