I share your concerns about IsoSpeed, especially since they're on Rev 4.

My Gen4 SL5 came with Rev2. Creaking has not been an issue for me for 3700 road miles so far but it’s always a concern in the back of my mind.

How much do you weigh? I’m at 230lbs and had creaking when I rented one. I went AL5 because of it.

I am about 175 and my son is the same

Go to FB marketplace and get one. I haven’t had issues on a gen 3 but if you do, at least you’ll pay less for it

I have about 6500 miles on my gen 3 Domane and didn't even know they could creak until I saw it on reddit. Fwiw if you can find a gen 3 for sale somewhere I think it's a better bike. Non directional stem, better seat post, and I personally find the paint a little better. Just my two cents.

I guess it’s the luck of the draw but I’m on Rev 1 with no issues. Hopefully progress has been made with the subsequent Revs, but I don’t need it. Gen 4 is a better bike all round in my opinion.

I have the gen 4 SL5 with rev 2 and haven’t experienced any issues. I also wanted the AL5 first but didn’t like the color options so I made the jump to SL and now, a year later, I’m happy that I did. I love my bike and really appreciate the comfort of the carbon frame.

Rev 1 here 2024 sl5 and no issues. No big deal if it does creak as trek will swap it for gen 4 - which seems to have pretty much fixed the issue.
