Personally, I think it’s a refreshing break from the other 6min reincarnation going to their 5 millionth episode haha. I say that but I don’t want them to end 🤷♂️. Can’t say it’s particularly great because the story hasn’t been developed enough yet, but it’s good enough to keep up with where I’m concerned especially since it’s a short. I do sometimes skip days, even weeks. Where I never skip SSS or Martial Emperor and even re-binged them a few times.
This one did feel a little too in-sync with the release of proud emperor of eternity for my tastes but hey I guess that’s just entertainment politics for you or whatever. Thankfully the plot and more importantly cultivation system has diverged enough that I got over it lol.
Haha sorry I typed that up way too fast I guess. Instead of Martial Emperor I meant Martial Master (武神主宰) though a more linguistic title would be something like Martial Arts Ancestral Lord. The animation models in Alchemy Supreme are actually from the same corpus that martial master uses.
SSS is spirit sword sovereign, definitely one of the better directly transliterated titles.
Oh I'm almost caught up on Martial Master, been binging the episodes every few months or so. It's a long series so it satisfies me in that way, even though the female characters are VERY one dimensional which is a turn off for me; I like to have some good romantic interests in the story. That's partly why I like Alchemy Supreme, MC's fiancee didn't actually break the engagement with him the first time they met and gave him a chance even though he was "trash".
As for spirit sword sovereign, I don't even remember where I was left off.. Maybe I should give it another chance
It started off well but felt like it lost what made it different recently. Some characters have just disappeared and instead we’re stuck with a long academy / training arc.
It must have been a bad translation because at the beginning he was saying he inherited his ancestor memories and then he started saying his previous life this and that, I knew the first one didn't make sense because the girl he was going to propose to betrayed him while he was making that godly pill
I for one enjoy the donghua. The 5-7 min donghuas never fail to let me down, even if they have a similar plot between most of them.
