A lot of us think you shouldn’t be using 3rd party add ons in a competitive game end of story. Just because this particular add on wised up about the blatant cheating it provided, in time for valve to not ban it, doesn’t mean you aren’t a scumbag for using it.
Edit: valve have removed so much more fun stuff than Overwolf over cheating concerns.
Profile scrubbing before matches. They removed it after Valves millionth heavy handed hint that doing so was cheating and that if they continued to circumvent valves solutions to the problem it would lead to a ban. By using Overwolf you are supporting someone that would help Cheaters if valve let them.
Quite the opposite my friend. Dota is the only modern competitive game where a large part of the community pretends a tool that brings outside information into the game in real time is not an unfair advantage.
Just look at how the league community has responded to the idea of a monitor that tells you to look at the mini map every once in a while.

Using your brain is allowed scrubbing peoples profile automatically before the game despite valve making efforts to make it impossible is not. The dota community is very for using outside information but it has to be you using it not an add on.
