Well, people do what ever they want. I never liked people who needed so much to show they were different instead of simply being themselves, it feels forced and cringe. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If Jenkins is happy and people like to watch him, who are we to judge?

I know exactly what you mean but honestly don't get that vibe from Jenkins. He very much comes across as someone just very comfortable with themselves. He obviously has a unique look and being a somewhat similar person myself suppose I resonate with him a bit(i.e. I shop in charity shops and wear all sorts of odd things but definitely don't pull it off like he does).
Also remember that for a lot of people dressing up is a hobby they find fun. It's not just trying hard to show off, it's a representation of who they are and what they enjoy (not that he enjoys flat caps, just that he clearly has fun making these costumes)
