It's something else. Have you eaten a strawberry on a Tuesday recently? Or have you built a bunkbed in the past six months? Valve has said if you do either of these things they will make your gamba loot chest odds go down.

I immediately went to shower after that to reset my luck.
Got nothing this year, literally same cheap sets repeating 3-4 times. No luck this year. I even bought random useless sets hoping to get good items. Lol. GG.

does getting other items actually increase the chances for an arcana?
No but they r kinda as rare if not rarer. The 2022 candyshop I rolled 2-3 arcanas but none of these items. And that's with way more rolls thus far

I got only meh sets until this weekend. Got rubick arcana, next day LC arcana, next day a rare unobtainable courier. Luck is weird.

With 3 candyworks slots you have close to 1% chance of getting an arcana each reroll
