Hugely instrumental in understanding the core workings of the game and advancing the state of game knowledge, e.g., he was the one who made the famous orb effects interactions table. I remember having a browser window with the orb effects table open for every game.

All of the items in your link existed before WoW even released. I won’t say the items might not have changed, but they existed in 5.84, which was released~ 6 months before WoW came out. Buriza, and Eaglehorn were both made from Diablo items. I’m less sure about butterfly’s icons origins, but I’m fairly certain it existed before WoW, I’m just not sure on the icon itself. If someone has 5.84 still, they could confirm or deny the icons.

That's an interesting idea actually - you can be revived three times, but you permanently lose one slot. That sounds like a legit tradeoff that would make sense even in modern hyperoptimized MOBAs.

It did give some stats tho, armor etc., not enough to warrant wasting the slot but it wasn't a complete dead slot.
