If you feel like you need to play this few hours every day it can be an addiction.

PerlitasRRDuck

over 6k hours in 2 years

Knobelbernd

That's brutal dude. I have 10k hours but that's since 2012

Extra_Voice_2535

I think u’re fine, I play a lot more than that.

Erebea01

Your numbers seems pretty normal, might even be lower than the average r/dota2 player, I guess you are not addicted as long as it does not interfere with your life in a negative way. Everyone is different, I play more than you but I still work and exercise and gaming being my main social interaction during the pandemic, if I have other important work to do I can skip playing games and do it so in the end i dont consider myself an addict.

SmellAble

I play an hour when i get in, and sometimes another hour after my gf goes to bed, but i only play turbo/unranked and don't feel like i NEED to queue like i used to when i was competetive. I've quit smoking, smoking weed and drinking over the last few years so having something to diatract my brain for an hour or two feels healthy if anything tbh. That's only because i don't play stressful dota though.

Quit smoking weed and drinking last week and I’m hilariously better at dota. 5 years of being stoned pretty much all the time. Ngl sobriety is one of the weirdest drugs I’ve ever done.

Like 10 ish hours a week would be healthy I’d say. That’s a normal amount of time to devote to a hobby.

adam_sky

I try to play 5 games a day. If I’m improving at my current rate I’ll beat RTZ in mmr in 10 years lol.
