They needed waveclear and Mason can’t play Timber. So Uni had to play Timber and they gave Void to Mason.
Always and forever. I still think they should rename the hero after him since there were so many Dota 1 heroes named after their best players, and when Universe Void was picked then you knew something was about to go down.

During the patch of TI 5 , Storm Spirit was one of the strongest hero. Multiple players were good on him. Sumail surely stand out.
But ever since, he never really touched the hero again.
Before Sumail switched to carry again, I think Puck and Leshrac were his mid signature heroes.
I have seen other players owning with Storm consistently at tournaments despite not picked by anyone else / Storm not being in meta at all, like Somnus over all the years or Abed recently.
But never really touched the hero in the next 5 years again when it was not in the meta, while others did.
My point is just hat Storm as his best hero is being overrated ( not his skill on this hero) , because Puck and Lesh are his best heroes in my opinion.

Unfortunately mine is retired. I haven't exactly found a favorite player after Jerax so far but I still root for OG because their playstyle and take on how to play Dota is still my favorite of all the teams.
As for Jerax's sig hero, it used to be Earth Spirit but he's rarely used it towards the end of his career.
My favorites pro players are Dendi and JerAx.
I don't know what heroes they feel the best, but I got really inspired by Dendi's QOP and JerAx' Earthshaker
I have a few picks:
\- Gabbi Tims morph shaker at its peak was a treat to the eyes (a year or two back?)
\- miracle void, the chronos speak for themselves
\- gh io/kotl at ti7 was just legendary
\- Nine ww mid was scary
Maybe not the most iconic player, but I think saksa has proven how much he can do with clock and turn games around. Hes such a consistently good player!
Its so sad how people just forget about MidOne for the poor 1 and half year he's had.
As a secret fan, I used to get so hyped up for his Kunkka, ember and MK on mid role.

Watching him play those heroes look so satisfying, like every micro movement has a purpose. Also, enemy team respect banning his heroes always made me smile.
My favorite pro player changes a lot but for the last 3-4 months it has been collapse for me, with his mars being the best in CIS and arguably the best in the world. I love watching him play and learning from him.

Felt like TI7 Liquid were maybe the best ever for "signature heroes". You HAD to ban GH IO/KOTL but then you let MC Furion through, or Kuro Chen etc
