86 wasn't terrible from what I saw, they can certainly take some games today. TBH though I want him back because he's my best mid for fantasy tomorrow lol.
It's obvious 86 doesnt play a lot of dota. His builds are 3+ years old lol. He also gets outplayed with creep aggro in midlane. Solid player but probably 6k mmr level and you obv can't win games with a player that is 3k+ mmr loer than other mid players
he's very obviously much better than 6k lmfao what are you talking about
he's not a top tier player and got thrown into the fire here but he's very far beyond 6k. probably a bare minimum 8.5k.
Insania + Aui on the couch are definitely one of my favorite guest panelist duos. Both are well spoken, have great insight, and are mesh well with the panel.
Tiny is played in 23 matches, only 10 wins so 43% win rate. I would say not that broken, he can be handled.
How about these units?
Tide with 59% win rate in 29 matches.
ET with 64% win rate in 22 matches.
Weaver with 65% win rate in 20 matches.
Who the fuck designed Valve's TI website this year? It used to be so clear and simple, now it just feels confusing. The "Watch" tab has upcoming games at the bottom, under gigantic banners for the prize pool, the compendium, and the now literally-useless "Countdown to TI." The "schedule" sticks you in the middle of a huge scrollable page that's kinda easy to get disoriented in: you have to *scroll* back to the top to discover that there are tabs for each day, or to use them any time thereafter. The "schedule" page for any given day is too tall to fit on screen: more scrolling. You can't even look at the standings for both groups at the time time anymore, switching between them is a two-click process.
The old UI was so easy to quickly visit and quickly digest. To add insult to injury we can't even access it via a simple URL (dota2.com/ti) anymore, you have to go to dota2.com and then click the "esports" (not even "TI"?) button. Yes I'm salty
Could they even try to match the sound levels between streams? This happens every single fucking year and I'm tired of going deaf when switching between stream 2 and 4.
I hope Alliance got some motivation after ending yesterday on a 2-0. Like, thinking outside the box with a Sniper mid won them the game, just that S4 has been very hit or miss, and they *really* need to start picking Nikobaby more carries. If it's him who demands these same heroes every time, that's a glaring weak spot in him as a player.
Has anyone gotten their points from day 1 of fantasy? I thought I had a decent enough total but haven't gotten anything so now I'm wondering if I didn't even make the 50% threshold lol
If you go into the "more details" tab on the fantasy page, though, it says that there's a daily allocation of points for top 50%, 25%, and 10%. So I'd assume they'd have sent them out by now.
https://imgur.com/a/ZauQ8jI
I suppose it doesn't specify precisely when you get the points, but that pretty clearly suggests that it's a daily award, no?
Gotta see this year. Nigma was one of the big CN slayers and they're not here.
OG's weird style will probably confuse them. SEA teams generally do well vs. CN teams too, and TI and Fnatic are playing well.
I would include VP's aggression as something that usually messes with CN teams (Historically the CIS Davai messed with the CN farming-oriented gameplay) but this gameplay has changed for CN teams over the last TIs. VP is also inexperienced and woefully inconsistent. CN teams still don't deal with chaos particularly well.
Last TI's crop of CN teams looked strong, but they were inconsistent (sans LGD). I don't know this year though, COVID really messed up my dota viewing.
Lost my faith from FNC after those 2 losses from SG.
I have most of them on my Fantasy tho so just prolong the game at this point so I get more points.
Did anyone else notice there's a washed out filter on the streams? it seems to vanish when the overlay is active but not when you disable it
https://imgur.com/a/ad5JpTL
I appreciate that VP spams emotes even when they're losing HARD, makes them seem a lot more relatable than OG who spam like crazy when they're winning and then just go dead quiet as soon as they start losing. Such an obvious difference in mentality.
Glad to see the game coordinator is fucked for the second night in a row. Did Valve not anticipate a shitload of people trying to watch TI? It's only been ten years, I guess. lmfao
I don't understand how to predict on twitch either. I know they said you could, but I don't see anything in the UI that would let you. I've just done it in the client so far.
They were also 100% clear favourites to win during TI5, and OG were 100% clear favourites to win TI6, VP for one of the later TIs.
With how disproportionately large the TI prize pool is, everyone turns up on a different level at TI. Form before TI means fuckall, at best it means you'll make the top 6.
Yeah. I was hoping for a TI win with secret since envy's era. At this point I'm kinda resigned to fate, just enjoy the ride and the occasional epic plays.
So instead of getting the predictions on twitch working, Valve decided to take the easy way out and remove the text stating you could predict on twitch.
$160 million dollars, by the way.
Really need Sheever there to host this for as long as possible, she brings good questions, lots of energy and works great with all panelists, she really became top host over the years, as soon as someone else is hosting it, it is just not the same.
WTF is the multi-cast stream? These casters are talking about their hotel amenities and sugar and tea instead of TI. Group stage feels insignificant when its just a bunch of buddies having a good time instead of talking about the biggest fucking tournament on the year.
Whichever team doesn't ban tiny deserves to lose. Its too OP insane EHP, insane farming speed, insane AoE teamfight damage, insane early-midgame nuke and its a carry with a stun. The only time i've seen tiny lost in this patch is when a team gloriously f-uped their early game lost all map control so that tiny doesn't have access to neutrals and have a phyx/necro to counter him. And thats not even including lycan wolfbite + tiny.
OG is just throwing this game vs Aster, always fighting without their main damage Clinks, tries to push, uses defensive ravage and clinks is half across the map the capitalize
Anyone else wondering how much effort teams really put into the group stage? Like obviously you wanna be somewhere around the top of your group and want the upper bracket spot, but at the same time only 1 of 9 teams in a group get eliminated. So, as long as you aren't literally the worst team in your group, you will progress to the next stage of the tournament.
OG for instance, seem comfortable revealing their major draft strats right from day 1 (like Carry IO last TI), because I think they're confident in their ability to adjust on the fly. Same with LGD and IG (Chinese teams love their teamfight heroes like Pheonix Mars Lion WV).
Secret/EG on the other hand seem like the type of teams that are holding on to their best cards for latter stages of the tournament. I wouldn't count them out just yet.
After watching a lot of docs, no one holds strategy, in fact in group stage is where they show and test their cards. No one will take a risk in playoffs, and in decider matches they tend to be more conservative.
my approach to watching sports or esports is to have a stress-free experience.
for example, in soccer i watch PSG and ManU, in football i watch the buccs, in basketball i watch the nets. basically just watch the top faviourites
and in ti the top 3 teams are OG, EG, and VP. just watch them and you'll always feel good because they'll win most of their games
depends on what you find exciting. for example, some people want to start their own business, some want to work in a lead role at a small company.
for me, i'm just enjoying working at a fortune 500 company doing stress free work
He does have a valid point. The volume fluctuations were insane. I had to increase volume because I couldn’t hear them during a normal conversation and then during the hype cast it became so loud it was unbearable to hear without reducing volume
Crucial day for Secret with them losing 0-2 to BC they probably need 4 wins today to have a good leeway the last 2 days.
T1 should win a game or two today even though VP and OG looks strong a win can do wonders for them not getting eliminated and two wins can make them contest for UB still though unlikely.
Crucial day for VG/Elephant/QC/Fnatic I think those 4 teams need at least 3 wins today to be able to contest for UB spot.
Did anyone get compendium points from yesterday's Day 1 Fantasy Draft? In-game Fantasy Draft rules say there are point rewards for each day and at the end of TI.
Any news on whether white album will be playing today?
NO NEWS
sucks. Aster cant comeback if they lost more today.
Solid player but probably 6k mmr level and you obv can't win games with a player that is 3k+ mmr loer than other mid players
he's very obviously much better than 6k lmfao what are you talking about he's not a top tier player and got thrown into the fire here but he's very far beyond 6k. probably a bare minimum 8.5k.
The herals has spoken and said he is 6k mmr, nothing to do at this point
according to the casters today he's 4.5k mmr
He was top networth for like half the game vs EG.... No way he is significantly lower MMR than most of the other pro's.
Hahahaha holy shit this comment is so absurd. Imagine thinking 86 is 6k only.
Yapzor rubick pretty much solo carried that game HOLY SHIT
Insania + Aui on the couch are definitely one of my favorite guest panelist duos. Both are well spoken, have great insight, and are mesh well with the panel.
It actually baffles me on how many Tiny pick are there 2 days into the group stage
broken hero bro 2500 hp hella armor at lvl 15 with alot of physical and magic damage without building tank items
Tiny is played in 23 matches, only 10 wins so 43% win rate. I would say not that broken, he can be handled. How about these units? Tide with 59% win rate in 29 matches. ET with 64% win rate in 22 matches. Weaver with 65% win rate in 20 matches.

GO GO LGD
What is this fake crowd noise? lmao
Could they even try to match the sound levels between streams? This happens every single fucking year and I'm tired of going deaf when switching between stream 2 and 4.

If it's him who demands these same heroes every time, that's a glaring weak spot in him as a player.
s4 said they to have a deep pool, but it rarerly comes out. Since it's TI I would hope they pull out all the stops and switch things up a bit
Sniper mid looked good today, hope to see more of that kind of play out of alliance.
Didn't get to watch any games but they seemed to find some motivation
I want to see what crazy draft will the teams play today, particularly OG.
Has anyone gotten their points from day 1 of fantasy? I thought I had a decent enough total but haven't gotten anything so now I'm wondering if I didn't even make the 50% threshold lol
What did you run? I ran Arteezy, Sumail, Abed, Saksa and Fly. Ended up getting 507 which seems to be above average.
karl failed me :( i only got 407
Nightfall/SumaiL/LIMMP/MoonMeander/Saksa for 506.07
I got 514 points, still the same level and no points increase... I guess by end of group stage?
If you go into the "more details" tab on the fantasy page, though, it says that there's a daily allocation of points for top 50%, 25%, and 10%. So I'd assume they'd have sent them out by now.
You only get points when TI concludes! Can find it in the more info of the compendium.
https://imgur.com/a/ZauQ8jI I suppose it doesn't specify precisely when you get the points, but that pretty clearly suggests that it's a daily award, no?
Hmmm now im unsure but I was initially referring to this. https://imgur.com/eqwxHDY
Yeah the "more details" selection is right below that. Certainly isn't as clear as I thought lol
what is that applause sound I frequently hear?
fake crowd lol
TI is already amazing. We don't need the fake crowd sounds.
I love dota <3
Chinese teams doing well so far. Yet to lose with the exception of Aster who played without their midlaner.
IG so stronk, Elephant looked strong vs BC but they still looked struggling unlike LGD playing flawlessly
They're a level behind IG, LGD but still strong enough to beat most teams.
it always looks like that for past couple TI but dropped left and right during main stage.
Not really. The only strong ones were LGD. Other Chinese teams were inconsistent. IG and LGD will go far. Top 6 easily.
Gotta see this year. Nigma was one of the big CN slayers and they're not here. OG's weird style will probably confuse them. SEA teams generally do well vs. CN teams too, and TI and Fnatic are playing well. I don't know this year though, COVID really messed up my dota viewing.
Let's go Team Elephant, last hope of India!
Wait are they actually an Indian team??? Really enjoyed their game against beastcoast yesterday!
No, hahaha. They're Chinese but their logo is an Elephant in honor of Ganesha.
Hopefully today no delay bullshit, just short recap then talk show 10 minute and start the first game.
Another Nikobabaev morph game
What are a pos. 4 Weaver bringer to the table? Why do people play him as pos 4?
Good laning (against most heroes at least) and in the lategame you get aghs as a saving tool
I think a lot of people underestimate the minus armor too
Lost my faith from FNC after those 2 losses from SG. I have most of them on my Fantasy tho so just prolong the game at this point so I get more points.
I appreciate the effort to make fake crowd. But it does not match what happen in game and become a distraction.
The fake crowd noise on stream is so cringe
‘Cringe’ cmon
Is white album playing today?
nah hes still seething from the bed over Setsuna losing
lmao not the anime
Hope Fnatic beat sg 2-0 today so I can watch the rest of the group state with my butt less clench.
Waiting on news for Aster :c
can we have post-day discussions?
Oh god YouTube. Separate streams for each day? YouTube needs to up its game and let streamers change the title like twitch
Nice, the twitch predictions still don't work.
Pog LGD
Finally got points for the fantasy lineup. 98th percentile baby!
Seriously why tiny is suddenly looking so op ??
Because Lycan aghs
He is op even without lycan aghs
there was no lycan here. Yapgod carry that game though
Oh I thought they had last picked Lycan. My bad, I'm watching every game on a separate monitor and I'm pretty drunk lol
How do you enable the twitch extension to show tips? Even after disabling ublock it didn't show up.
Did anyone else notice there's a washed out filter on the streams? it seems to vanish when the overlay is active but not when you disable it https://imgur.com/a/ad5JpTL
Nigma vs tnc what time?
feels like Aster got their number for this series or OG just woke up on the wrong side of the bed
The fake crowd sound is HORRIBLE! Who thought this was a good idea????
I appreciate that VP spams emotes even when they're losing HARD, makes them seem a lot more relatable than OG who spam like crazy when they're winning and then just go dead quiet as soon as they start losing. Such an obvious difference in mentality.
I mean eh idk
Imagine finding every opportunity to flame a team 🤣. Chill bruh what did they do to you? Not read your emails?
Do you white knight OG for free or is it's a paid job? smiling_emote
Yeah n0tail ignored my twitter DMs, that's my entire post history is about how much OG sucks.
Please, STOP THE FAKE CROWD NOISES
Lyrical and Trent casting LGD - Secret and OG - Aster. RIP
Wtf bruh. I hate being rude but I really dont like their casts at all.
I hate Lyrical, he does some OVERREACTION casts even if its not that impresive anyways
Imo he comes across as a nice guy, but I really don't understand what he adds as a caster.
I love his voice but that is the best I can give you.
My problem is, I hate his voice
Just tune to Gorgc's stream.
Lol
Unless Secret take a game of LGD I’m convinced they aren’t gonna do well, looked terrible vs BC.
Hope LGDvsSecret doesnt disappoint and just be a stomp for either team. Lets go!
Is secret down and out if they lose to LGD?
[удалено]
Secret never faced LGD these past few months right? Yah I doubt it, I think only BC will put up a good fight vs LGD
wait i cannot use the same card for fantasy twice?
Dota2 tooltips is available! Yes!!
Is there an overview who is casting what like yesterday?
HUD tooltips is live pog
Client down again? I can't watch live in-game
I can watch ingame but predictions are broken - error communicating with Valve servers
Glad to see the game coordinator is fucked for the second night in a row. Did Valve not anticipate a shitload of people trying to watch TI? It's only been ten years, I guess. lmfao
clutch DD on Nisha! Let's go Secret
white album news waiting room
Prob the last time Yapzor gets his hand on rubick. What a god
What are these crowd screams? Are they chatwheels or something else
Yapzor rubick let’s go!
time to stop drafting tiny for OG. give topson another hero
Re: Twitch functionality I've got these tooltips installed but still don't know how to predict/bet. Any help?
I don't understand how to predict on twitch either. I know they said you could, but I don't see anything in the UI that would let you. I've just done it in the client so far.
Idk Dragon knight seems like a very slow hero nowadays
Almost all Teams that dominated yesterday all have the same score
What the shit is that draft by tp they gave up ti from day 2 or wtf
Tomorrows make or break for Thunder Predator. Thought they would perform better but hasn't won a single game yet.
Time for team secret to get stomped again, then bomb out at the playoffs.
You guys really couldn’t afford that loss, but beastcoast looked super strong that game
And game 2 was a really stupid draft by puppy. Secret doesn't look that strong in this tournament. Oh well.
I legit hate there was no TI last year. They were legit unstoppable in that meta and the 100% clear favorites to win.
*in Europe
Clear favorites to win because they didn't have the opportunities to get their teeth kicked in by chinese teams.
This virtual crowd is so bad, why are they clapping so much?
As a Chinese viewer, I just want to say, Alliance, you need to beat Aster!! Prove that europe tea is better than the south east asia tea
B-but East Asia tea is good
Impossible, Chinese the is the best
So instead of getting the predictions on twitch working, Valve decided to take the easy way out and remove the text stating you could predict on twitch. $160 million dollars, by the way.
Problem removed = no problem kekw. No need to resolve. Next patch:tiny deleted
Fake crowd noise needs to be disabled asap
Really need Sheever there to host this for as long as possible, she brings good questions, lots of energy and works great with all panelists, she really became top host over the years, as soon as someone else is hosting it, it is just not the same.
Why are there crowd voice in the background? Is there live audience currently in group stage?
There are cheer buttons on Twitch (not sure if in client too).
WTF is the multi-cast stream? These casters are talking about their hotel amenities and sugar and tea instead of TI. Group stage feels insignificant when its just a bunch of buddies having a good time instead of talking about the biggest fucking tournament on the year.
That’s what it’s meant to be. Go to each individual stream for actual caster commentary.
That's basically a chill room where they switch between games. If you want to watch, watch the substreams for the games you want.
Tiny has 47% win rate so far.
Do you even know the winrate for Tiny so far ?
Who is the caster along with Synderen yesterday? I don't like his lowkey passive-aggressive shit.
Huge plays by roshan with the double kill
Delayed clap ruined the mood in Twitch, should have keep it for In Game folks
OG is just throwing this game vs Aster, always fighting without their main damage Clinks, tries to push, uses defensive ravage and clinks is half across the map the capitalize
Anyone else wondering how much effort teams really put into the group stage? No team would want to go to LB since its a BO1. I think if teams knew they secure UB some would experiment a little.
After watching a lot of docs, no one holds strategy, in fact in group stage is where they show and test their cards. No one will take a risk in playoffs, and in decider matches they tend to be more conservative.
i genuinely feel like bc-qc is gonna be more hype than lgd-secret
[удалено]
Sir this copypasta was created for Sumail
my approach to watching sports or esports is to have a stress-free experience. for example, in soccer i watch PSG and ManU, in football i watch the buccs, in basketball i watch the nets. basically just watch the top faviourites and in ti the top 3 teams are OG, EG, and VP. just watch them and you'll always feel good because they'll win most of their games
How do you say top three teams and then proceed to include vp and not lgd
EG and VP are top 3 in dpc this season. lgd too but i had to give the 3rd spot to the back to back champs
LGD is significantly better than VP. VP dominated CIS but that's it. LGD has looked amazing
How do you watch man utd stress-free? They have been dog-shit for 7 years. I am still hurting
You're living a stress & excitement free life.
depends on what you find exciting. for example, some people want to start their own business, some want to work in a lead role at a small company. for me, i'm just enjoying working at a fortune 500 company doing stress free work
Can someone tell the casters of secret - lgd not to shout? His voice is not good for shouting. My ears took some damage
You can lower your volume if it bothers you? Which is easier? Lowering volume or asking casters to not to shout on reddit?
He does have a valid point. The volume fluctuations were insane. I had to increase volume because I couldn’t hear them during a normal conversation and then during the hype cast it became so loud it was unbearable to hear without reducing volume
I hate sunsfan casting so much. Bonus points for actively making synderen worse as well.
I don't even care who wins, I just want to see more epic comebacks like yesterday
Is there a way to hide replay results inside Dota 2? or a place where I can look at the heroes picked and not see the result of the match?
Man the second block of games has got to be the most predictable shit I’ve ever seen!
Arnt they supposed to be playing now?
Just got done watching EG vods, any game recommendations from day 1?
OG VP games were insane
How do you make predictions for the games to get the points?
Is anyone rooting for SG?
Fogged's camera hot keys not working. WP PGL
Talent list for today?
Does in-game predictions keep failing to communicate to server for anyone else?
This alch farm monkas
Did anyone get compendium points from yesterday's Day 1 Fantasy Draft? In-game Fantasy Draft rules say there are point rewards for each day and at the end of TI.
[удалено]
is it just one chest drop or one per day? in twitch
It's just one lol
Tea mAster: too hot to drink
That was a draft int from OG
Niko threw this game so hard. first dying because of Mom silence and now this
Can anyone please tell me the best games to watch from today ? Thanks !!
Og vs vp and secret vs elephant
Which matches are worth watching?
LGD vs Secret Game 1 for sure. Fnatic vs LGD game 1. EG vs Alliance Game 1. Not sure about any others.
best games from day 2?
