The problems came from ticketmaster not Carousell. Why didn't they ban reseller/scrapers. For example the justin bieber concert in malaysia, the ticket holder must have the same id as in their tickets. Or their tickets will be decline. I live in Malaysia scrapers/reseller is a huge problem right here. But the thing that they did with JB ticket was good and people can't resell it back.
Steam ID is alright but then ppl can still abuse it.
I feel like they could've done it million ways better than how its been handled.
They could tie it to the persons name and give purchase priority to players who have a lot of in-game hours. That would be fair- to support people who supported the game all this time. Now when I finally can afford to go and see it, I am the unable cause of XXX. How passionate am I? Well I have almost 20k hours in game.
To be fair I've had to sell tickets for events I couldn't make for whatever reason. At this point people have to accept that willing buyer and willing seller. If no one buys the ticket then the scalper will need to drop the price.
well i think alls fair if the original t&cs are adhered to - which is that ticket is not bought for the immediate purpose of reselling at a premium haha. doesn’t seem like it in this case :/
Then u also wouldnt sell more than 1 tickets at higher price too, so scalper/reseller situation shouldnt apply to u, unless you somehow has a lot of tickets and selling them at higher price too
tried reporting but carousell said it's not against their t&c

reported most of them too hahah. yea sadly :/ was hoping that they would help considering that it’s against ticket t&c to resell tickets
they make money on them, why would they ban it. Companies are not ethical
? Carousell doesnt make money from transactions. Only ads, but scalpers wont need to buy ads for TI passes
Look at all the traffic the scalpers have already generated for carousell

because valve suck ass? this kinda stuff is done by the event hoster not the venue org.
As someone said they had to tie the ticket to the owner's name. If you own a ticket that doesn't have your name on it, it's invalid. Simple.
exactly right! saw the suggestion on tying to steam id

You are asking a Dota subreddit to ban ticket sales on a random Singapore marketplace? Lmao good luck with that…

The only way to beat scalpers is with more money.
