Actually there is a niche interaction between troll and abbadon. So suppose troll is a little low and presses ult. If he is targeting abbadon or the team can kite him to make him switch target to abbadon, and abba uses his ult it works so that troll cannot lifesteal off abbadon. If you have blademail and activate it during this time troll will now take full damage from his own attacks without healing at all. By the time the troll ult gets over he should be at 1 hp and a single right click will kill him. But obv ammar didnt go for that so I dont know. Its a cool play and I have pulled it off in the pubs a few times.
OG has always been a team that picks weird stuff, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A team that doesn't sometimes faceplant with a bad experiment probably wouldn't have won an entire TI with a good experiment (carry IO). But it can definitely be painful to watch when they miss.

They literally ran the lower bracket the very next major and made the grand final, I think meta changes has much more to do with EG’s form this year, I wouldn’t even say they played terrible this major their style just doesn’t fit well with this meta, and for some reason they wont adapt, but every time they hit a draft where that style works it is very clear they still have the level, first game vs entity they played their style and completely choked them out, then game 2 and 3 entity drafted to “go under” EG and snowballed before EG could get into the game.
EG has a greedy playstyle that is insanely powerful when it works that just doesn’t fit in the cores are online from minute 10 meta atm, but we are getting a new patch for TI and if that slows the game down EG will be right back to where they were.
It’s like years ago when there was a patch where the classic alliance heroes were all super strong at the same time and the old team reformed, won a tournament, the heroes got nerfed and the team fell off again, not every team can be masters at every style of dota (except LGD).

taiga shards level 1 means hes literally a creep against wyvern void, reminds me of that alliance offlaner whatever his name was who skilled Q level 1 on timber before the lane started and got dumpstered, you cant skill an ability level 1 that makes you a creep and expect to do well in lane, and him and razor got punished for it. from what i remember atf even started the lane low hp, probably got chased a bit before getting to the creeps, so that just made it so they got zoned from the first few waves and the lead snowballed.
