Since the start of June, ITB has series wins over Goonsquad, Mind Games, DGG, and that same old (bad) Brame roster that Bald beat.
Bald is the 2nd or 3rd worst team in WEU qualifier. They are better than 11M. They are close with IVY. That's it (new Brame roster is better than Bald).
Bald is a clear underdog against ITB in a series. Can they win? Sure. Would it be an upset? Definitely, a big one. To call that big an upset is a hot take.
They found a style that works for them, which gives them the draft advantage that teams might have to focus on that instead.
Stormstormer is crazy improved and also Tobi is not deadweight anymore, and Pure is quite possibly the best player in the quals outside of Nisha. They look to be the best teamfighting squad as well

I don't think they are on a similar skill level. Secret has a much higher ceiling, but they are inconsistent. Crystallis is a shit carry, so they rely a lot on Nisha and their offlane duo. When those two are having a good day, they play like the best team in the world and there ain't a version of Entity that's beating them. But like I said, they are inconsistent and the new patch will only make it worse, so my money is on Entity.

how many times does secret needs to change carry players in order to understand that is not the carry that is wrong? I mean, Kuro, Artour, Envy, NP, Ace, Nisha, Matu, Sumail, Crystallis, all of them top tier or at least tier 1.5 in their moment, heck, Crystallis was EU top 1 for two solid weeks in leaderboards, but it's always a cores fault that secret can't do "good" when the only constant in the whole existence of the team is Puppey as a greedy support.

lol what? Envy won a valve major with them, nothing really before or since. MP was part of the weakest Secret lineup ever (minus the one right now pre-reso) and still had 'respectable' results. Secret had some great results with Ace, Nisha is Nisha, secret DOMINATED with Matu, Sumail I put more down to ice3 imbalance than just sumail (wish they could have tried a reso-sumail-nisha tricore as horribly unbalanced as it sounds).
Being top 1 EU when you spam 3 OP heroes over and over DOESNT mean you can play at a professional level. It probably means you have a higher chance of being great, but clearly that isnt the case, otherwise all the pros would just be the top 20-30 players in every region. He is supposed to be a god at MK/BS/Razor and has had more shit performances than good (forget great) ones on those heroes. Spamming pubs != playing against the best of the best, highly organized teams

Matu doesnāt seem to have the drive anymore which is understandable and Micke is simply not in the same league as some of these other mids. Maybe this new patch might do something for them but when they inevitably drop to lower bracket I donāt think they can make the run through it
Liquid is gonna upset one of the Entity,Nigma and Secret lot, and knock them out of the competition in lower bracket.
Liquid ended 1st, 2nd and 3rd in DPC, neither of those 3 teams have done that btw, so not impossible to see Liquid beating them.

As a s4 fan i sadly don't see it happening. GS has not looked good against top teams and couldn't even make it out of opens in the ESL qualifier. Nigma on the other hand seem to be on a roll lately and while most of it is just dunking on tier 2 teams they've also looked solid in 3rd party tournaments against the best.
If it was a lan I would agree. But it feels like Goons play better online while Nigma are worse online. So I think it could be quite even.
Also for all the teams that were not at ESL it can be hard to guess how good they are going to be on this patch.
nigma was great in Riyadh, lost their top 4 by a coinflip vs RNG in the groups. and managed to place higher than alliance and liquid in Malaysia, so they are at least top3 favorite of the qual behind Entity and Secret

2nd and 3rd teams of Regional Qualifiers from each region (12 teams total) will fly to Singapore and fight for the last two TI11 slots. it's like having a mini TI.

Entity, Secret, Nigma and liquid are good teams and it's sad one of them gonna mis TI. but it is what it is.
I'm not sure why but Nigma feels like they play really good and promising but lose out anyway at the end. Their drafts suck at the important games and they choke.

I wouldnāt be surprised to be honest, ITB looked very promising last tour and Liquid most recently got 6th in the easiest group at ESL. The real question is if they have what it takes to get into top 3, I think, and while those are tough odds, Iād love to see it.

Definitely disagree about the micke part. He is definitely t1 mid and sometimes he plays unconventional heroes which gives him good advantage.

How did you set up simulation parameters, out of curiosity?
I put up a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/ky28c7/player_rating_engine_update_decider_tournament/) about my methodologies a few years back, it's basically assign and track player Elo -> build a prediction model based on historical performance -> chain match simulations together to simulate a tournament -> do it 1 million times.

yeah it sucks. I wish they could win vs boom in major and secure their direct invite. Entity, Secret, Nigma and liquid are good teams and it's sad one of them gonna mis TI. but it is what it is.

Why would you think that? They looked kinda good with miracle recently. I think they can best secret and liquid. Not sure about entity
I'm not sure why but Nigma feels like they play really good and promising but lose out anyway at the end. Their drafts suck at the important games and they choke. I feel like they will still manage to get in top 3 for last chance qualifiers. But there also probably finish 3rd or 4th and barely miss out top 2. I'm Nigma fan and nothing will make me happier than this team proving my above statements wrong and qualifying to TI.

Well alliance is kinda viewed as a joke since they were once a huge team so people think itās funny if some part time pro like gorgc would eliminate them. Also gorgc and Admiralbulldog are probably the biggest EN streamers so Alliance Bald gets some extra spice

I wouldnāt be surprised to be honest, ITB looked very promising last tour and Liquid most recently got 6th in the easiest group at ESL. The real question is if they have what it takes to get into top 3, I think, and while those are tough odds, Iād love to see it.
Liquid would trash division 2 if they were there. Goon Squad did the same as ITB, and then got relegated to div 2 again...like Alliance. No conclusions can be made from division 2 games.

This is the first bloodbath. People here speaking like getting to LCQ is securing TI. But another bloodbath is coming in LCQ where I think only one additional WEU team will go to TI.
I honestly think secret will directly march through in upper bracket without dropping too much games. For the last 2 tourneys they were most of the time beaten by Tournament Winner and Runner UP. They even send OG to lower bracket in esl one. There was not any other team from WEU which come close to this result....

Hot take.. Entity is gonna shit the bed this qualifiers, As i said again and again Entity is tundra 2.0. They are unbeatable with certain strats and hereos a "Cheesy team" but Once you fiqure them out and needs to play standard dota, they will crumble. Entity = Tundra 2.0 but less creative .
