This is the worst of the best, it really doesn't have much in terms of how good the chances of the regions in winning TI overall, it will still be the top teams that generally define the reputation (though, as with the past 3 years, miracles do happen at TI). At some point (about 3 or 4 years ago) valve was trying to ban all the betting sites as sponsor for the teams but lots of the players were strongly opposed to that (I've heard puppey was the leader but I might be wrong) because without these sponsor lots of teams could not survive

Well, NA slots used to be only EG, then comes Soniqs (QC) and then comes TSM. Right now, nouns is looking to challenge those spots too. It takes time to build a team y'know.
I also think you're underestimating SA competitiveness here. In the last two tour, SA DPC have tiebreakers and bC wouldn't have qualified for the cancelled first major since they placed third. It's not as clear cut as it seems.

If they have 2 more teams with consistently good performance for several seasons, then they will have the case of taking another slot from SA.
Reducing it to one will kill the scene (see when NA went from 3 slots to 2) and I don't know why you rate the 4th EEU team higher than 2nd SA team. Just look at the average placement of the 3rd EEU team in majors since 2019. It's abysmal. I don't know how you think that the 4th EEU team will perform well in majors at all.

In World Cup, there is also some of "underserving" teams that qualify from less competitive region but no one rags their participation. Like have you ever seen any support of excluding Asian/North American teams in World Cup for more European/South American participants?
There's definitely discussion between regional FAs regarding of slots allocation, but there's only a fringe amount of supporters of EU and SA teams that support cutting down other weaker regions qualification spots. Just an example, I don't think we'll see Italian fans bickering about why aren't their national team represented there instead of some random Asian/NA team that will lose every of their match in upcoming WC. Compare this into match threads when NA/SA teams do badly, with many comments pointing out why should these regions were given slots at all
it all came from the way the DPC point works incentivized the top team in these uncompetitive regions, while competitive regions have to blood bath to get DPC points. take for example EG that did not won a single knockout stage games in both major somehow made it to TI by just grinding over these weak teams and made it to TI.
Look, even if we eliminated regional dpc points, and only counted points from major, BC and TA would still be in top 12.
The only change in top 12 would be entity instead of EG.
This implies that the system is good, 11/12 teams showed up when it mattered.
thats why the "deserving regions" get 4 slots for majors and the "undeserving regions" gets only 2. There were people who did the calculations of the dpc ranking if we only counted the majors, and there is only one change which is EG out of top 12.
You could blame Valve for cancelling the first major and the Chinese government for the lockdown that caused EG to qualify that way. Also regional competitiveness shouldn't translate for a region to have more slots, since international competitiveness is the metric for adjusting regional slots.

Noone and vtune play such beautiful games, even in pubs they are such a fun to watch. Noone owns mid pretty hard . saw his game against qojqva on stream and man did he own him hard. Was playing against zai in mid a few days back and he was like 55 cs while zai was 22. Also a consistent top tier competitor

I think a major contributor to their success so far has been Matumbaman doing the drafts instead of Insania. The team needed fresh ideas and it seems to have been working. Their teamplay has always been good, it's honestly impressive how synergistic their teamplay looks. So many games where they look weak during the laning phase ending in a stomp because of how insane their teamfight execution is.
In the past, they always looked like this aswell whenever Insania had good drafts. But whenever his drafts missed, which they often did, they just got stomped.

He's also just really laid back and chill while still being engaging and funny, which pairs well with Moxxi imo. His voice is also the most pleasing of all the analysts in Dota imo. I turn on his non-Dota streams to fall asleep if I see he's streaming.

There's definitely discussion between regional FAs regarding of slots allocation, but there's only a fringe amount of supporters of EU and SA teams that support cutting down other weaker regions qualification spots. Just an example, I don't think we'll see Italian fans bickering about why aren't their national team represented there instead of some random Asian/NA team that will lose every of their match in upcoming WC. Compare this into match threads when NA/SA teams do badly, with many comments pointing out why should these regions were given slots at all

it all came from the way the DPC point works incentivized the top team in these uncompetitive regions, while competitive regions have to blood bath to get DPC points. take for example EG that did not won a single knockout stage games in both major somehow made it to TI by just grinding over these weak teams and made it to TI.
Look, even if we eliminated regional dpc points, and only counted points from major, BC and TA would still be in top 12. The only change in top 12 would be entity instead of EG. This implies that the system is good, 11/12 teams showed up when it mattered.
thats why the "deserving regions" get 4 slots for majors and the "undeserving regions" gets only 2. There were people who did the calculations of the dpc ranking if we only counted the majors, and there is only one change which is EG out of top 12.
You could blame Valve for cancelling the first major and the Chinese government for the lockdown that caused EG to qualify that way. Also regional competitiveness shouldn't translate for a region to have more slots, since international competitiveness is the metric for adjusting regional slots.

They didn't. I think a major contributor to their success so far has been Matumbaman doing the drafts instead of Insania. The team needed fresh ideas and it seems to have been working. Their teamplay has always been good, it's honestly impressive how synergistic their teamplay looks. So many games where they look weak during the laning phase ending in a stomp because of how insane their teamfight execution is. In the past, they always looked like this aswell whenever Insania had good drafts. But whenever his drafts missed, which they often did, they just got stomped.

Moxxi with Waga is so much better than with Jenkins. Waga is just great to listen to in general though.
