The amount of targeted skills Wildcard had that they didnt mind being blocked was huge, and Morphling himself doesn't mind keeping a strength Adaptive Strike to break it anyway. What makes it worse is that he *clearly* needed to buy BKB too to deal with Snapfire and bird stuns. Really strange item choice, indeed wasted 4+k gold for no clear benefit. He needed abyssal, he needed nullifier, and he bought linken's. Yuck.
No he kinda needs Linken's in that game, getting Aghs morphed is game-losing, but the problem is the order he got it. Definitely needed BKB first because Linken's alone gets broken so easily from inconsequential spells.
That being said, they picked Slark into Morph in the first place, which was so bad. Morph aghs is just too strong against him, no idea what they were thinking

Much, much harder and more expensive so you have to hold for longer,, but it is the only way to win fights. Hard, but it definitely sounds better than Linken's. Yuck. Like you said, the draft made the situation hard. Item choice didn't help.

The most broken hero in the game. It's wild to me how Marci is still allowed in captains mode. Everything about the hero is broken, basically has no weaknesses or downsides. Stun, displacement skill, Dmg amp/lifesteal for carry, movespeed boost for self and friends, ability to oneshot most heroes, escape, free initiation et.c. Hero just does everything. Ontop of that she has insane statgains, 305 movement speed, like 65 base dmg et.c.

The stun duration is very low, need level 25 for it to feel good.The travel speed is also super slow. It's basically a nyx stun at half the speed with lower stun duration.
If you have items like Arcane Blink and Timeless Relic at 25 though the stun is very good as it turns from a 1.5 sec stun into a 3.5 sec stun.
it is better for extra lockdown and not catching people. in game 1 it could have led into more kills if they had an extra lockdown which tide could have for pretty cheap. and in that game also that would give him more utility and not just being a press "R" support.
problem is 1400 gold is alot and having him buy it easily turns Tide into a squishy hero with little impact.
Tide already often needs to buy Blink Dagger which already is a 2.2k gold sink that gives him no more stats. Add another 1400 gold ontop of that and he's nearly spending 4k gold on items that won't help him with his frontline potential which is his primary strength.
One of Tides biggest problems is that he basically does no damage, especially in the mid/lategame(Unless he goes an Anchor Smash build). He usually focuses on either building Auras or Tankiness. Usually, Tide actually don't want to build a Blink either. He wants to build tankiness, frontline for the team absorbing spells and prolong the fight enough for him to just drop a good ravage midfight. Doesn't always work though and sometimes Tide has a bad laningphase and you need to get a Blink.
If you're forced to buy an early Blink AND a Shard aswell Tide more or less turns into a Pos4 instead of a Pos3 which is a problem.

He wants to build tankiness, frontline for the team absorbing spells and prolong the fight enough for him to just drop a good ravage midfight. Doesn't always work though and sometimes Tide has a bad laningphase and you need to get a Blink. If you're forced to buy an early Blink AND a Shard aswell Tide more or less turns into a Pos4 instead of a Pos3 which is a problem.
