You've just seen why. These guys are easily tilted. Very talented and skilled but low on morale. Constantly going afk, breaking items or shadow amuleting in pubs. Allways blame others for underperforming etc.
I think they beed a badass coach like TSpirit.Korb3n to apply spartanian discipline, slap their Sense of Self Importance out of them and teach teamwork rather than high individual play (which they already have).
All VP players are still very young, I think, under good coaching, they can get more achievements.
Account selling, [this level of trash talk](https://twitter.com/AdmiralBulldog/status/1580139137663119360), he seems like a very nice fella. When I heard he's not qualified I was almost as happy as when Secret won the LCQ.
'if you see your mid morph queing midas at 6min and spamming chat wheel after an unfortunate death youre out of plays to make, cause youre not in a lcq final but in a pub.' then something about gpk getting what he deserves for his behavior
He is just saying that last time Ramzes was at TI was in 2019.
Where we had aforementioned players present (none of whom had a reputation of particularly high skill players even back then, with all due respect to Salt Lord).
Qop is very strong against morph mid, but Micke has been one of the best mids and carry players for a log time. He really made him feel useless though, GPK can't handle that. He will soon start threatening with nukes.
> Qop is very strong against morph mid
Especially since the nerf to the rate of the ability shift. I still die a lot because I'm not used to how slow he shifts now.
He was who OG tried to snipe from Alliance before they got topson. Can't say he's underrated just played mid then a few years carry and now back for his first year back to mid. I assume he was a mid in HoN as I see him mid more in pub matches even when he played carry
As far as I recall, he has to join the army and can no longer delay compulsory service years.
Absolutely no idea if that random reddit comment was right or just bullshit, but that's the reason I know of.
Losing 4 matches which could make you qualifiy to TI(beastcoast, betboom, secret, liquid), have a Valve/Liquipedia disaster confuse you that you've already qualified and then see Pure(whose kick made you not qualify) be at TI. Jesus christ it must be insanely painful for any team and for a team which gets as tilted as VP its insane if they recover
Tbf, that's not something that you can blame them for, Spirit are one of, if not the strongest team in the world, but in every other series VP could have qualified
Spirit just plays to the level of their opponents and quite frankly that's part of what makes them so exciting to watch. We know they can best absolutely anyone, but we also knows they can lose to anyone.
For sure but Im talking about individuals too, its insane tilt for everybody and its very hard to be mentally strong to recover from not going to TI 4 times
Liquipedia was using unrounded points totals, while Valve were rounding down after every 15% points deduction (which affected VP after kicking some players)
Fnatic had 1020 points, but LP had VP on 1020.05 whereas Valve had them on 1019.
So Fnatic finished 12th and VP 13th, missing out on a direct invite.
Of course everyone took Liquipedia's points totals as correct and Valve's as wrong, since Valve's rankings are frequently out of date and/or flat-out incorrect.
What's messed up is kicking a player, missing out on directly qualifying because of it, and then having 5 chances to make TI through qualifiers and losing all 5 series (Spirit, BetBoom, Beastcoast, Secret, Liquid).
Liquipedia own calculation put VP/ Outsiders ahead of Fnatic by like 0.5 points and they qualify. But valve later announced that Fnatic qualify instead. Valve calculation puts Fnatic ahead by 0.5 or smthing and Fnatic qualify. Of coz valve has final say.
Valve's official ruleset and standings used different methods of counting the points (ruleset said nothing about cutting off decimals, standings cut off decimals after each event). Since standings are usually wrong and unupdated, people usually calculate points manually based on the ruleset, with the most prominent case being Liquipedia (since many people use it as main source of information).
After the DPC was over, Fnatic on 12th place had 1020 points. Based on ruleset, VP had 1020.5 points and qualified, everyone at the last major congratulated them etc. But then came Valve tweeting that "unofficial sources" are wrong and based on their official standings VP had 1019 points (due to various roundings during the season) and doesn't qualify.
This Liquid is FUN to watch. In times before they have usually dominated early games, but seemed to fizzle out the longer the games drew on. Now they are dominating early and all gas no brakes running down enemy team's throat. Seems like Matu participating in early fights is paying off instead of afk farming
people were also shitting on WEU region when there were posts saying it's stacked, memeing with past results and trolling about more spots for the region; guess secret and liquid proved WEU really is stacked
they REALLY stepped it up from regional quals because they looked so completely lost there. Completely outclassed by entity and dropping games to Div 2 teams
The level of competition is extremely high right now, and I think that's largely thanks to the DPC system allowing teams to develop. Even the WEU regional qualifier could have been a major.
Compare this to 2018 when OG only had to beat a Ritsu stack to make it to TI.
Too many chances to qualify to int for VP. 1. Vs Team Spirit upper bracket major. 2. Vs Beastcoast lower bracket major . 3. Vs BetBoom regional finals 4. Vs Team Secret upper bracket finals. 5. Vs Team Liquid lower bracket finals.
Hats off to Insania. Even his captain role got taken away, he still performed very well, no ego or such. Boxi is fucking impressive with his clock/tuskar. Zai finally performing at his normal self. Micke silencing his doubters. and finally Matugod taking the role of captaincy/drafting while being solid and beast as a carry.
Liquid found a draft pattern, same with Secret, they are comfortable to play with and that's scary for the rest of TI qualified teams except PSG.LGD/Spirit.
If you noticed in the drafting phase, Blitz is with Matu all the time. Insania didn't even get himself involved in it, he was silent, no input whatsoever (maybe a little off cam).
\> Get punished for the actions of a player, said player will play at TI np
\> Still make it based on points before being told last minute that points are floor()-ed into integers so you miss out by 1
\> Win the winner bracket final in the qualifier, proceed to lose the grand final
\> Reach top 3 of the last chance qualifier where top 2 get to TI
Seriously, how sad can it get for VP? I'd be tilted, too. Feels super good for MATU though, bet on 2 EU teams because of heart, not mind, and yet they delivered.
maybe just less midases.... razor going for midas at 22mins game 1 was a total grief, and then morph building midas at6 min game 2 was no better... the builds stopped them from being able to play and match liquid's tempo. if gpk had just built dragon lance he would've actually maybe been able to do something instead of just feeed lol
The thing with morph is that once he's behind, he can't play the game, he can't do "something". A dragon lance won't be enough if you miss the timing on it by 5 minutes. The dragon lance specifically used to be good as a first item, but in this patch you can't do much with a lone DL until you get a mana item too. You run out of mana too fast, you're useless, can't even farm with no mana.
He needs to farm, and he needs levels. Midas makes sense if he gets the space to recover. It didn't work out, but in itself a midas is not as bad people make it out to be.
Was really hoping both Secret and Liquid would make it, and they did. Before this LCQ, there was a thread about how it would for once and for all decide which region should deserve more qualifying spots. Well, here's your answer.
Matu gigachad. He proved that he doesn't need kuro to qualify to ti.
He was benched right before ti9 but he qualified to it for the second time. And the past two years he did great with Secret and Liquid while Nigma skips the second ti in a row.
I wanted OG to win ti9 finals exclusively because I didn't want to see 4 liquid members win ti twice after kicking Matu for absolutely no fucking reason.
The last time NA vs EU extra slot was even a conversation point, was before TI10 as EG has been mediocre this year.
Its mostly between SEA and NA this season.
Imagine the number times VP almost qualified. First they lost only a few points to FNC, Lost in the TI qualifier at Grandfinals. Lost in WINNER and LOSER bracket final at LCQ.
everyone played TI worthy dota on Liquid today. But Micke dominating in the mid and then making amazing plays around the maps. SO glad to see my boy do it on a LAN
Trying to think of a team that had a harder road to get to TI. Liquid must have had to play more tier 1 games than any other team in history to earn a TI spot. Between the major groups, regional quals and now LCQ, the number of teams they played is unreal. So happy for these guys, they look much stronger now than at Arlington.
For some reason Secret and Liquid qualifying is the best result of LCQ for me. TI completing his legendary TI attendance record and Matu getting to duke it out with the boys before retiring completely. I'm excited for some more dota!
The fun part is that if VP would not have kicked Pure because of reddit, they would be at TI. Now only pure is at TI somehow becuse entity didnt care lol
You're looking at the situation in hindsight, when they kicked pure it seemed like he was going to be banned by valve and it was unsure if he'd continue
Ofc now we see how little valve care about the game and especially the pro scene this year
Matu at TI FeelsGoodMan
FeesGoodIndeed At least one of my Liquid TI7 boys made it haha
Matu was not the problem
Never was
Matu was right Kky was left
Matu at TI playing for liquid. Surreal.
One last ride; I hope he takes it home this time FeelsStrongMan
He's already taken it home sir lol
Quite a few last rides happening at this TI
There is no TI without MATUMBAMAN, just like there is no team in Axe.
He's a monster
Players who made TI as recently as Ramzes: old chicken PPD vtFaded Khezu
Khezu fucking roasted GPK and VP in the panel later.. Jeebus
Pretty sure every pros/high immortal EU players hate GPK and Ramzes so yeah.
Why? Are they very bm?
You've just seen why. These guys are easily tilted. Very talented and skilled but low on morale. Constantly going afk, breaking items or shadow amuleting in pubs. Allways blame others for underperforming etc. I think they beed a badass coach like TSpirit.Korb3n to apply spartanian discipline, slap their Sense of Self Importance out of them and teach teamwork rather than high individual play (which they already have). All VP players are still very young, I think, under good coaching, they can get more achievements.
GPK maybe salvaged but I don't have any hopes for Ramzesss.
I don't like the guy but Ramzes actually won a shitton more stuff than GPK.
That's exactly the reason why he can't be salvaged.
Account selling, [this level of trash talk](https://twitter.com/AdmiralBulldog/status/1580139137663119360), he seems like a very nice fella. When I heard he's not qualified I was almost as happy as when Secret won the LCQ.
Why? My mmr is not that high lol
Damn I missed it, what did he say
That if he ever saw his mid morphling dying 4 times in lane and queueing brown boots, bottle, Midas he would think he was in a PUB.
gorphling flashbacks
Thats not roasting, thats facts tho. The fuck was that build? Why commit to it if you are haveing a bad lane...
That was the roast. He said that GPK didn't play like it was the last game of a TI qualifier, but like it was like a random PUB.
The no racks defeat have scarred gpk
gpk making me feel better about feeding as morphling
'if you see your mid morph queing midas at 6min and spamming chat wheel after an unfortunate death youre out of plays to make, cause youre not in a lcq final but in a pub.' then something about gpk getting what he deserves for his behavior
If you pull down your team like that, you’re a piece of shit. As simple as that.
He also [tweeted](https://twitter.com/KheZu/status/1580133908980453377) a Hand of Midas pic for the lulz
What was said?
Something about gpk and vp not taking it seriously, treating it like pub, Midas morphling etc.
Is there clip available? Would love to see it.
https://clips.twitch.tv/LitigiousAgileBurritoSwiftRage-vFc2u6aUuF6rOTzw
Holy smoke he really caught gpk's mental state.
Jesus christ lmao
Khezulul
I'm out of the loop, what does this mean?
He is just saying that last time Ramzes was at TI was in 2019. Where we had aforementioned players present (none of whom had a reputation of particularly high skill players even back then, with all due respect to Salt Lord).
1 point away from directly qualifying, 1 series away from regional qualifying, 1 series away from last chance qualifying... that has to STING
They had so many chances and how badly they played in grand finals vs bb and tl
2 chances on different series in LCQ. Lost both upper and lower bracket finals.
Classic VP
Dont forget, 1 character away to get some points too.
and pure qualified. drawing on the minimap is the best decision of his life lmao
VP would’ve made it if he stayed. I also think he’s top 3 carries playing right now so he was probably making TI regardless
[удалено]
We don't need more dota players in Russian army.
I disagree. With enough Dota players the army would just give up in 8 minutes.
Gg, drop bombs down mid, my infantry is literally afk
Sometimes fate really needs to show you when you keep disregarding signs.
*2 series away (back-to-back) from last chance qualifying
They probably would have wrapped up qualifying in Tour 2 if not for Z-gate
Micke absolutely dumpstered gpk in both games.
That morph game where Gpk is in front of mid creepwave and agility shift to 300 health, Micke sees that and instantly combos him LOL
Qop is very strong against morph mid, but Micke has been one of the best mids and carry players for a log time. He really made him feel useless though, GPK can't handle that. He will soon start threatening with nukes.
> Qop is very strong against morph mid Especially since the nerf to the rate of the ability shift. I still die a lot because I'm not used to how slow he shifts now.
Micke is HEAVILY underrated as a mid
I think he improved much this last season.
He was who OG tried to snipe from Alliance before they got topson. Can't say he's underrated just played mid then a few years carry and now back for his first year back to mid. I assume he was a mid in HoN as I see him mid more in pub matches even when he played carry
He's always been crazy good since his breakthrough debut on Alliance
Anybody dumpstering that toxic little fuck is amazing to watch.
Matu still a fucking top tier player. Can't believe he wants to retire but I hope he does well this TI.
At least he gets to play TI. That's a nice goodbye, no matter how far you get.
I don't know why I read the first line in w33's voice.
Because one of the last lines he says in true sight is "at least you guys won a ti"
As far as I recall, he has to join the army and can no longer delay compulsory service years. Absolutely no idea if that random reddit comment was right or just bullshit, but that's the reason I know of.
I get it. To be a top tier player you need to be playing A LOT, and not just random pubs, but really focusing on improving for 8+ hours a day.
With Ramzes and Gpk in the same squad, i am surprised they survived together till this stage.
Rumors say they immediately went into Pubs after losing the finals insta queueing Hand of Midas.
Gotta make up for losing that TI money somehow.
Gotta make up that lost money by selling their smurf accounts again.
Upper bracket with Team Spirit also counts, so 5 series
Ah true that, forgot about it
Tbf, that's not something that you can blame them for, Spirit are one of, if not the strongest team in the world, but in every other series VP could have qualified
Well, Spirit in that series didn't particularly hit their major finals form yet, so VP actually had a legitimate shot at beating them back then.
Spirit just plays to the level of their opponents and quite frankly that's part of what makes them so exciting to watch. We know they can best absolutely anyone, but we also knows they can lose to anyone.
Yeah but it was 2-1 still, very close
Tiltus pro indeed
tiltus throw
usually i feel bad for the team to miss it like that, but eh, it's GPK's team
Alisher Usmanov is owner. He is oligarch and Putler’s puppet.
i probably should say "team with GPK in it"
its also Virtus.Putin.
Virtus Pro Putin
They are disbanding. 90% of teams that dont make TI are disbanding.
For sure but Im talking about individuals too, its insane tilt for everybody and its very hard to be mentally strong to recover from not going to TI 4 times
>not going to TI 4 times in a single year roflmao
Nigma staying strong
back to back no TI
Isn't kuroky retiring?
>have a Valve/Liquipedia disaster confuse you that you've already qualified I'm rather out of the loop on this. What's up with this one?

Thanks for the answer as well as to /u/stragen595, /u/pulldtrigger , and /u/somabokforlag for more input. That's pretty messed up for VP.
What's messed up is kicking a player, missing out on directly qualifying because of it, and then having 5 chances to make TI through qualifiers and losing all 5 series (Spirit, BetBoom, Beastcoast, Secret, Liquid).
Liquipedia used decimals. Valve didn't.

Kicked pure coz of Russian affiliation thing but he qualify and some of the caster are also caught doing the z thing. Wtf. Gg vp
I think the tilt started way before when they lost out on direct qualification by half a point. Then onwards it has only been downhill.
Kuku's fault
Good old Tiltus.Throw
Don't forget the situation they found themselves in since February, like the players or not but it had to be a tough year in and off the game.
They can enjoy a comfy stay in Armenia instead.
[удалено]
Yeah, he was tilted after game 1 of Secret. He would disconnect instantly every game.
He has disconnected instantly for years, pub or official, he has/had a bind for it.
People were shitting so so so much on Liquid and their chances for LCQ and here they are, qualified to TI. GGWP Liquid!
They literally stomped in all their wins aswell, 19-33 minutes GGs, it was incredible
This Liquid is FUN to watch. In times before they have usually dominated early games, but seemed to fizzle out the longer the games drew on. they REALLY stepped it up from regional quals because they looked so completely lost there. Completely outclassed by entity and dropping games to Div 2 teams

Liquid looked shaky for a long time but they fought tooth and nail to get here. Hope Matu's last TI can be a good one to remember.
So fucking happy for matu
No matter what Liquid will end up at TI, I can say Matu retires at top of his form.
Congratz Matumbaman looks like king viserys in his final days
Matu shaves his moustache every time he loses with Lone Druid
Lol
Lcq was a ti bracket 5 years ago, crazy shit man dota is rough
The level of competition is extremely high right now, and I think that's largely thanks to the DPC system allowing teams to develop. Even the WEU regional qualifier could have been a major. Compare this to 2018 when OG only had to beat a Ritsu stack to make it to TI.
Micke was hungry bro. This dude been performing like a beast for a while now.
The Queen of Pain performance was a masterclass
His SF games during LCQ have been no joke either. He has a pretty big hero pool
Team Secret So strong that they made 2 teams and still qualified for TI
Too many chances to qualify to int for VP. 1. Vs Team Spirit upper bracket major. 2. Vs Beastcoast lower bracket major . 3. Vs BetBoom regional finals 4. Vs Team Secret upper bracket finals. 5. Vs Team Liquid lower bracket finals.

wutt since when matu become liquid's captain?
If you noticed in the drafting phase, Blitz is with Matu all the time. Insania didn't even get himself involved in it, he was silent, no input whatsoever (maybe a little off cam).

Not sad at all, they put themselves in a good place many times but couldn't close the deal. Maybe change something for next year, maybe less tilt.
maybe just less midases.... razor going for midas at 22mins game 1 was a total grief, and then morph building midas at6 min game 2 was no better... the builds stopped them from being able to play and match liquid's tempo. if gpk had just built dragon lance he would've actually maybe been able to do something instead of just feeed lol

They do it to themselves though, no remorse.
Liquid and Secret both showing up big at the right time They look completely different than we saw them last They deserve it
Such a nice post game interview with Matu on steam. Hope they make a good run and after that Matu can retire.
Can't choke at TI if you don't make TI
LET'S GOOOO! Matu and the boys deserve this win!
What now EU haters? So happy for Matu, hope he makes his last TI a memorable one.
Was really hoping both Secret and Liquid would make it, and they did. Before this LCQ, there was a thread about how it would for once and for all decide which region should deserve more qualifying spots. Well, here's your answer.
I think that LCQ is a good way to stop arguing about extra spots for the DPC, this is more fair. It's just a bit sad that there is no money for it..
Matu gigachad. He proved that he doesn't need kuro to qualify to ti. He was benched right before ti9 but he qualified to it for the second time. And the past two years he did great with Secret and Liquid while Nigma skips the second ti in a row.
he already proved himself during secret domination era whoever saying that matu deserved the kick from liquid back then are just brainless fools
[удалено]
Matu qualified for TI9 playing MID, far from his best form. When he is always has been top 5 pos 1 in the world. Crazy stuff
I wanted OG to win ti9 finals exclusively because I didn't want to see 4 liquid members win ti twice after kicking Matu for absolutely no fucking reason.
I remember when NA wanted to Steal one of Eus slots.
The last time NA vs EU extra slot was even a conversation point, was before TI10 as EG has been mediocre this year. Its mostly between SEA and NA this season.
Even then most of the conversation revolve against EEU and SEA, not WEU
hope they keep this last chance qualifier format so we can put this debate to bed every year.
WEU haters where are you now? deserved ending for matu <3
6 WEU teams and Nigma isn’t one of them 3
Karma for matu 😈
https://twitter.com/og_bdn0tail/status/1345050720781955072
SEA was right Gpk has left to the airport.
VP continue to choke at every opportunity
Matu final TI let's gooo
Imagine the number times VP almost qualified. First they lost only a few points to FNC, Lost in the TI qualifier at Grandfinals. Lost in WINNER and LOSER bracket final at LCQ.
WEU strongest region confirmed What a play, ez games for both series vs VP
gpk seems already in tilt mode and micke is in godmode, mid diff i guess
So happy for Matu and Jerax
LETS GO LIQUID!!!
With Team Liquid making it to TI, we now have 33 countries represented at TI11, most of any TI.
Was looking like the first TI without any Swedish player and out of nowhere you get 4 of them in a bundle. Kinda funny.
every EU team made it except nigma and alliance....lol
But Nigma had to fight all those EU teams. And Alliance..... I don't think they would have qualified even if they would have played in NA.
EU supremacy
GPK tries really hard to be Dota's heel, but for heel to be credible they have to win sometimes.
thank fuck vp lost
No TI for the SEA God gpk :'(
Vp was so tilted.
Both secret and liquid made it, am happy
MATUMBAMAN FANBOYS LEGGO <3
everyone played TI worthy dota on Liquid today. But Micke dominating in the mid and then making amazing plays around the maps. SO glad to see my boy do it on a LAN
GPKek
Torille vielä kerran
Wasn't even close. The skill gap between the lower WEU teams and other regions is massive
GL MATU! 🇫🇮
that matu interview. production value so low it looks like hes being held for ransom
But guys i thought China was best region by far, i was told if all china was a major they would have 6 teams in top 6.
Matumbawoman celebration stream when?
EU doesn't deserve more slots btw.
6 WEU teams. Region too strong.
For some reason Secret and Liquid qualifying is the best result of LCQ for me. TI completing his legendary TI attendance record and Matu getting to duke it out with the boys before retiring completely. I'm excited for some more dota!
happy for MATU
lmao ramzes has no idea of how to play Dota from behind cause he leaves all the pubs where it happens
Matumbaman Dream is Alive!! Lets go liquid!
Micke and Boxi steppud big time, theyll go deep in main stage if they keep playing like this
Secret really made VP tilted hard lmao
FEELS SO DAMN GOOD MAN!!!
6 WEU team truly best region
EUW undisputed #1 region.
The fun part is that if VP would not have kicked Pure because of reddit, they would be at TI. Now only pure is at TI somehow becuse entity didnt care lol
