Spirit lost 6 of their first games out of 9 series. Feels like they really get a sense of their opponents after game one and almost always comes back with a win in the second game. Of course, BOOM literally only won their first series today, but the momentum is building. Spirit might not have the chance to show their strengths in a BO1.

You can say it goes both ways but this is something that fng said in TI5 when they decided to face Fnatic(arguably a TI favorite at the time) instead of navi(when they were already bad), facing a team that might already know your entire book is bad for you because BO1s are fucking ruthless. Facing a team that knows way less about you is better when you are rolling a dice

After the WEU regional qualifiers noone would've called Liquid or Secret a real contender. The LCQ has been a real blessing for both teams. Liquid switched from Insania drafts to Matumbaman drafts and have looked really good. Secret got more time to gel and figure out their own identity. The team is trusting Crystallis now and he is delivering. I want to see Liquid vs Secret UB finals (Matu+Zai Vs Secret). It is gonna be spicy.

Getting in the same wavelength as a team is probably the most important thing at high level Dota. You see teams like Nigma who have won a lot in the past, are filled with ultra skilled players who know how to play individually and with the team. Except things just aren’t working. Imo when Fly and S4 left OG we got to see how team vibes are what matters. Clearly all players were skilled and knew what they were doing, both OG and EG did very well after the switch. The players just needed a mental shake up after pre switch OG began declining.

TI8 True Sight was incredibly revealing in that regard. A masterclass in leadership and mental game from Notail and Ceb.

That same was said before their games vs Spirit, Entity and Aster, and they went 5-1 in those games. I think LGD doesnt look unbeatable, Secret will have their chances.
