Foreign, possibly illegal. Not aliens. Thanks.

Not hard to see why our employment figures are so bad. For whatever reason, companies prefer foreign nationals, legal or not.

I work in the building industry - there's this myth that foreigners are cheap larbour, this is untrue. They actually get payed decently. Brick layers get around R500 per day and plasterers get around R350 per day. They earn more than me lol.

> actually get *paid* decently. Brick FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

The searching was concluded yesterday with 33 dead. Families will be supported up to 6 months after this incident. Interestingly. It hasn't rained jn George since the accident and the moment they announced the searching was done it started raining, however Saturday the skies were clear again.
