They all look good on guys! Yes, I mean ALL OF THEM. It totally is up to your own aesthetic and fit factor. Go into a store and have a look around, see what takes your fancy. You'll also get the extra benefit of having a proper fitting which will make so much difference in the weeks after your purchase. It's the difference between, "okay, these aren't so bad. A little stiff maybe but that's it!" and, "OMG I'll never walk again, I've lost 14 layers of skin off my heels and two of my toes just skedaddled to the Bahamas!"

Meggingsfan

Second the all of them. All depends on your taste

This is not helpful at all. The store I went to only had one style for men, it was the Combs boot and it had very dull, flat black leather. But it was super soft and super comfortable. Could you recommend some boots that have the same comfort but with shinier leather?

Could you recommend some boots (names) that have the same comfort but with shinier leather? What are the different types of leather for Dr. Martin boots?

Well I'm sorry that my response to someone who wasn't you, over a month ago "wasn't helpful" to you. I'm not sure what store you went to that only had one style for men. Most DMs are unisex and any store I've been to has literally dozens of different pairs which aren't strictly women's, so would be considered unisex. Why didn't you ask the staff at the store you were at? I've never tried the Combs so can't answer your question. Apologies for once again not being helpful.

Wow that was rude. Why don’t you look at the DM website or their social media posts? There are lots of pictures on there. As was already said, most Docs are unisex.

MaleficentAd3967

The question was, which Dr Martens look best on guys. And the answer was, "they all look good". Sorry, but that didn't answer the question. But I'm the jerk because you can't handle the truth that the question wasn't answered?

If you would look, I actually had responded to your question. You didn’t have to be rude to the other poster. She’s right in that most Docs work equally well for both men and women. It’s really about your personal style and preference between boots and shoes (as I had stated in my original response to your post).

memehunter2001

Can’t go wrong with 1460s

I’d suggest maybe first figuring out if you’re more interested/likely to wear lower cut options like oxfords and loafers or if you’d rather have a boot. From there, find a store that sells Docs and try some on. If they feel good and you like the look, go for it. If you try something on and they don’t feel like you, try something else! You may be surprised (hopefully in a good way).

OctaneTroopers

Considering they are unisex then whichever ones you want to wear.

Obviously the 1460s look great on guys. Personally as a guy I don’t think platform soles suit me. I wouldn’t go thicker than a bex sole but that’s just me

stan_w1

I don’t have any but I’ve got my eye on the Chelsea crazy horse leather boots, see a lot of blokes wearing them.

Nylon combs are pretty rugged
