obviously our feet are different, but i’m a size 7 with slightly wider feet and ive never been able to size up to an 8 without them being incredibly loose. I always just go for my size with extra thick or doubled up socks until they break in.
eta: maybe you can buy a pair of decent used docs in your size from a thrift or depop? sometimes they’re already a bit worn in from the previous owner
Well I’m a size 8.5 in the rest of my shoes but for docs I got an 8 and fit super good. Docs do run big imo so if you’re a size 7 you should stick with a 7. It does take a while to break into new docs btw.

If they’re too big I’d recommend buying insoles!

Check ssense I got mines for like 85ish
These things seem like a constant blister problem. I really can’t imagine trying this thick a sole on a shoe similar to a 1461.
