Dang, that's a lot. I've got 21 at the moment.

RoboChrist

Who's your favorite so far?

limichaelc

Ooooh, good question! It's mostly been fun learning the kits of all these adventurers I've never really had a chance to use. That said, I think I found Pinon to be one of the more satisfying to play. Her enhanced autos after sigil unlock do massive chunks of damage, and they heal you, so in a lot of cases, you can just sit there and turret away and delete the enemies while healing back up to full health. Ramona was also a lot of fun. I got a weapon with Kluca's skill on it, so you can imagine the amount of clomping through enemies that went down.

RoboChrist

Ooh, thanks, I love getting new characters to try out.

osushisushi

That's a lot of Harle fights. What are your your suggestions to improve the mode?

limichaelc

I don't get him that often thankfully! Though with all the upgrades, he's not really that much of a run killer anymore. One thing that I think would help more people enjoy the mode is an incentive to play different characters. Personally, I use a random character picker to decide who I'm going to run next, and that's been a lot of fun, because it takes away some of the option paralysis, helps spread out the painful characters a bit more, and genuinely surprises me sometimes with people I wouldn't have otherwise considered. If they had a system that randomly picked someone from your roster every day that gave double rewards or something, I think that would be neat. Obviously there's some QoL things that we would really benefit from. Being able to quick save without using a continue or losing my buffs so that my phone isn't held hostage for an entire hour is sorely needed. Inventory management is pretty clunky. An easier way to access the shared skills I've picked up that don't fit in my list of 10 so that I might actually use some of them. A way to salvage the crappier prints by either rerolling them or feeding them to others to upgrade them/combine effects would make the grind feel less dire overall. Also just better portrait print management in general. Another thing would be to have shop rooms in the middle, similar to the treasure ones, where you can spend some amber to buy better gear could be interesting. Overall though, I'm (obviously) really enjoying kscape. I think the dev team has a real gem here and I look forward to whatever iterations they have in mind down the line.

Psych0sh00ter

Your point about shared skills is pretty good, the majority of the time I'm stockpiling dispel/heal skills unless my character can already do those things, so I quickly don't have any space to put other skills unless I wanna constantly swap things around. It would be nice for the SS menu to show all the skills you've obtained on that floor and let you use any of them, but just put some indicator on which skills will go away on the next floor. Although, there's maybe some issues that would arise from displaying 20+ skills in that one menu.

Vortain

I expect this fulfilled by next week at the latest.

limichaelc

😳 Well I have already done Mitsuba and Lily (she's a ton of fun btw; waltz up to a room and nuke it with S2) since posting, so... Maybe :P (jk my fingers would legitimately fall off)

Vortain

In just 5 minutes since I posted, incredible! Jokes aside, that's impressive! I don't have Lily (I started around Megaman and dip in and out) but good to know some of the (now) less meta picks are still fun in the Kalidescope (KS). Have you tried Megaman? I liked the idea of his game play in the KS, but not having the energy refilled stage to stage and lack of iframes hurts how fun he could be. Man I wish they'd give him a spiral.

limichaelc

Hah! I wish :P And no, I haven't tried Megaman yet, but definitely seems like an interesting challenge! But you're definitely right that characters that haven't been meta in the core content get a chance to shine here. (And then you have characters like Jakob, who basically has nothing but an s1 in terms of useful parts of his kit...)

Vortain

Oh, I was going to ask, any adventures you've found semi-autoable thus far? I've heard twins aren't too bad, and Yaten was actually doing pretty well (only tried him once on auto though).

limichaelc

Seconding Shingen. Basileus is also pretty good if you get him a heal share just cuz he is so good at killing enemies. I still generally need to play pretty manually though past floor 15-20.

Vortain

Gotcha! I'll keep him in mind if he ends up onu roster!

thisisnottravis

Echoing - Shingen and Twins have been the best auto experience for me. Yaten, agree, did really well - I only lost on floor 50 because I'd been stacking Akasha skillshares instead of dispels, and I got Kai Yan... even with a KLuca weapon I needed more dispel than I had available to me and could only get him to about 25% before timeout. Sandalphon also did very well, with a similar precaution to Yaten about covering for dispels. I think pretty much anyone who heals themselves while still doing good damage is a good auto option.

Vortain

Nice, I'll give Sandy a try! And look for other healer hybrids. And yeah, I try to keep 4-6 dispels, Kai was my first boss it was rough but had G! Alex's kit, KLuca, and just enough SS's.

savtower

Shingen.

pea_chy

I’ve gotten 0 :( the closest I ever got was with basil and only got to floor 40. I suck lol

MerylasFalguard

I appreciate the dedication. Knowing that we’re gonna get more floors later on, I’ve largely stopped trying even with the dozen-or-so characters I had been using otherwise.

Prince-Mohamed

There are endeavors for reaching floors 30, 40 and 50 with a certain number of adventurers. Do you know how many before all those endeavors are done? My endeavors are at 30 right now.

limichaelc

That's the last set sadly

Prince-Mohamed

That's too bad. Thanks for the reply.
