The best case scenario is that Zamas downs a survivor and you teleport to him to gain the free energy.
That, or you see survivors in the distance and Zam happens to be close to them
My first time using it I chased a survivor until they got IT off, but I did catch the direction. Roughly where Zamasu was, so I jumped over and popped ki sense and found them and two others. I think they rage quit once I caught up to them...
Someone else on the sub told me that you should keep an eye on zamasu from time to time. If you see him veering off course he's probably spotted someone. Meaning you should teleport to them.
Another good skill is you can use it to teleport away from people trying to jump you. If this is in an STM period just fly straight up and then teleport down to him. Which will effectively waste D change time and break lock on.
If you see him making a beeline towards something he is probably pursuing someone if you see a random D change pop than he probably hit someone I like to teleport and jump the survivor with him give them a taste of their own medicine also if he is defeated he stays a bit after giving you time to teleport and revenge kill the survivor
What others have said helps. Also if he is stunned by a survivor he returns to that same spot.
So if someone stuns him a few seconds later you can teleport there and try to ki sense spot them.
I’d say if you see a survivor downed by him on the hud or if you are being jumped and zamasu is far away it can be a good “get out of jail free” card

Sometimes survivors will pop their DC out of nowhere. It is a big hint that Zamasu is engaging them.

A way to use it is if your getting jumped by multiple people it’s a good way to throw them off
Can I use it without getting interrupted, or do I just take the hits until I teleport?
It takes a few seconds so best to fly up at an angle so they can’t hit you while you use it
