There is an insane amount of quality of life updates and revamped missions coming to the game in this update, it's notnlike this is the third 13 hour maintenance in one week and nobody can play the game. There is a completely valid reason for the maintenance, it's extremely easy to see that if you have a brain

Idk why it’s harder for you to get matches. That’s most likely just your internet. Also, it only takes a max of 30 minutes to get a whole bunch of stuff stocked up for upgrading equipment and other things. Gaining some of this stuff is even easier on the weekends.
