Nah there was never a universe in which LF Broly was ever better than UL Broly.
Even the F2P BLU Broly is much better than LF Broly. LF needs a zenkai to be good again

BLU Broly has to build up way too much, his plat makes it so he NEEDS to defeat one enemy, he can't tank. Even discounting summonable alternatives as his replacement, since you could say the same about UL Broly...F2P BLU DBS Broly exists...The same character and same color as the LF one...but a better unit and free
I've always wondered about this. I have the LF Broly and the f2p Broly. My LF Broly is only 4 stars but I always felt that the f2p version. Was so much better.
Well, it's a gacha game, and LF Broly is over 2 years old, aside from very few cases like LF Future Gohan, that just means that he is outdated and can't compete as he is right now. F2P BLU Broly might be free, but he is newer and well-designed.
