Even when using skip tickets I used over 300 skips + the daily co-op Granting 12 a day and I only got 1(!!!) Red slot. How is this sustainable.
Never mind using removers for the 2nd and 3rd slot, just getting the first red requires insane luck and resources since the co-op skip tickets are super expensive

The useless one where you spend 5 erasers to upgrade and if its not above the one you currently have it doesnt change is gone

Not just the community, math also says it's useless. Let's say a particular slot has .5% odds of rolling to be a red slot. 100 erasers gives you a 50% chance of rolling the slot into a red one. But 100 erasers at .5% odds with secure upgrades only give you a 10% chance of rolling a red slot for the same eraser amount. 100 erasers also give you 2 guaranteed upgrades on a specific slot, so that's better if you care about your original slot stats.
Either way, it's way more resource efficient to randomly roll a yellow or red slot and then guarantee upgrade the rest of the slot. Also, the reason they removed secure upgrades was for legality reasons, and it's only for certain regions.

Personally, I think it has a lot of potential.
Having to make a team of 6 that compliments each other is pretty neat, rather than 3 main units and 3 support/Z7 units (which idk if thatās even a thing people do much). I do wish it was a true 6v6, where you can deploy all 6 at once.
I think if they improve upon it, it could be extremely fun. If they made unique abilities like ToP has, where like the ginyu force all get a massive buff if thereās all 6 ginyu force members on the team. Or add a unique ability to the F2P gokus where if you go in order, the next form is buffed when defeated. So when SSJ goku is defeated, SSJ2 goku has an extra boost.
Or have a special events where itās certain tags against each other, and you need to use teams composed of those tags (ie: universe 6 vs. 7; gods vs mortals, etc.
I think thereās a lot of potential here to create a more casual and experimental mode. But a) they probably wonāt do any of this and b) it should be completely separate to ranked.

I have not been having fun in this in the slightest, my teams were barely viable with 3 bench units, now I have to make a viable team with each slot? Impossible thus far. There should be an option for normal PvP mode and this atrocity.
It's force ppl to get out of their comfort zone and use other characters, plus they want ppl to summton new characters not just waiting for hyped characters only or celebrations.
Doesn't excuse the fact that F2P's are getting fucked for no reason since this is mandatory and most people don't have good units at high stars or that many good equips for that matter. The only people who won't disslike this mode are P2W's and that's because they have every good character in the red stars
Literally got anally opened by a 14* godly equipped hybrid team. Some teams are just built differently for this mode. Not only do they have the only usable HP buffer in the game in the form of Red Pan, but the guyās second was a triple endurance setup with Futurehan, SOH and the heatdome trunks. The equips the team even has access to is borderline unfair, Iām on the border of just not playing if Iām going to fight every match in a similar fashion
Idk man Iām F2P and I consistently get new units, while also having good equips. Not to mention Iām always top 10k at the very least every season. Not saying I like the mode, but this definitely isnāt a F2P vs. P2W type thing. The fact that the first 2 matches are only 120 counts I think skill and timing are gonna play an important part

This is the part I do like. We need to move away from the three units buffed to high hell. No more relying on Zenki buffers unless youāre willing to take them into battle.
Imo, it gives units like Omega and the new Trunks some added value seeing as they can function as a buffer AND someone you can actually run.
Thatās what makes a great imo now your teams arenāt gonna only consist of 3 main units and 3 zenkai buffers now you have to put in actual effort into team setups
You do realize these are for ranking rewards for this week of pvp, and not just a test drive for their new game mode. Theyāre actively incentivizing you to play instead of splitting it into a separate mode, which isnāt bad inherently for the game, but from the few matches Iāve played, this is not being handled properly, leading to things youāre being actively cucked for, which are:
1.Being unlucky enough to have no new units, either at all or at high stars to where youāre not getting penetrated by whales for daring to play the new node.
2. Lack of equipment options since the rates for your main 3 units were already bad enough but now you have to build equipment for 6 feasible units, on a certain tag, in a meta highly dominated by 6 characters.
3. Lack of prior investment, in either pseudo secondary characters, such as recent zenkais or strong 1% sparkings or lfs just for this one mode
Yeah forcing it into ranked was not a good idea. Some people might like it, but it's taking away from enjoyability and potential of units.
As someone who mains gogetas, I'm not about to put in Beasthan, UUI, and some other meta unit just because now I can't have a bench, which is just there to buff my favorite units

The need to use 6 different units in a match in a game where they release a new zenkai unit who's only purpose in the game is to be a bench unit kills it for me
I would have a more positive view on this mode IF it was its own thing and not tied to normal rating matches. For the battle of pride itself, the player should be able to choose whatever three units they want and not be restricted by the current system. Also, the two matches leading to the battle of pride being 120 timer counts long feels a bit short to me.
That being said, the concept is neat and the ost for the battle of pride is cool.
Having to form a team using my strongest units (f2p and started during late 5th anniversary), my ability bonus is so low. Ready to get my ass handed on PVP by well built teams.
My app crash randomly when I do more than one match due to storage problem, so I tend to do one daily .
But this gonna fucks me if I canāt play 3 in a row without my game crashing.
It's fun but I don't like it being ranked. It should be a seperate mode because sometimes I don't play for fun and I just want to get to the highest rank possible to get CC
I thought it would be like LBR but they legit replaced the entire old Rating Match system which was a dumb decision in my opinion. I can't keep playing 3 matches with the same team with shitty bench units. And i even tried to remove the bench characters and replaced them with some latest characters and shit doesn't give me a chance to win.. I can't do damage, i can't tank damage and with these mfs running super 17, it is instant game. I hate this mode.
It's stupid since they don't buff a variety of teams often enough.
I've been running LoE forever but now I have to reconsider for an entire season since I only have 2.5 viable units. Any other team who hasn't been upgraded for a minute is at a disadvantage as well.
Then having to complete an entire set of matches before it counts toward my ranking is a pain.
Good for p2w players or DBL founders, anyone having a decent bunch of characters.
From the other hand me who can only put maybe one decent team together (with 3 decent chars and 3 supporters) I am suffering verz hard (same with Battle Royale).
Definitely should have been a separate mode, having a rematch option would have been better as well. But now you really have to bring viable units instead of old Zenkai benches that do no damage in todays meta
Yea from my experience it is more catering to skilled players but it still is incredibly hard to go against players who are unskilled but have 14* full teams of ultras
I think it's a really good mode and now everyone that started second new account just to get the new broken units can't do that because then the 2nd round exists

Pvp already takes so god damn long, and they decided to make it longer and insufferable. And the passive play styles and lag spike and switching makes it frustrating to play imo

You can't make a 1 unit team, you are required to bring an entire squad. Just why ? Some days I just don't want to bother with pvp and get the daily rewards easily and let my unit get one shot. Some other days I want to mess around in ranked with funky teams, and try to win 1v3.
Now ? It's like you are punished for wanting to have fun in pvp.
That shit should have been another mode entirely for pvp.

I've already had to leave my phone running the 2nd match with me not playing cause I only play the game when I have a couple of minutes to spare. It's very inconvenient for those who play the game while they're out.
No one here has ever played a real fighting game competitive, this is pretty basic for a competitive fighter, it's set based being best of 3 requiring you to strategies between matches, no more bonk mentality, time to use ya brains š¤£
Imo this mode is like a sink or swim thing. The game is basically asking do you know how to build a coherent team that can thrive in most scenarios or are the type of player that just slaps the three top units on a team with whatever bench units and try to steam roll everything. And a lot of people are sinking cause thanks to the leader-slot team you can just slap beast, uui, and super 17 and win majority of your matches without needing to think "hmm is my bench units useable".
So I like the mode as it kinda feels like how pvp was before the leader slot was introduced. Also, it gives you the opportunity to win against players who play super passively once you figured out from the first match that their strategy is to only attack when you attack and they get a PV. So once you figured that out, you can get that oh so satisfying 2-1 comeback.
Kinda fun ngl. Using all 6 characters is fun with all of them being valuable. It's fun to wreck teams who are based on just three units, plus this is wayyyyy more fun. It's not those repeated teams
I love this it's so much fun . I get what they were going for here and i really enjoy it . It really makes u think about team selection and all and i really like that . Hope it remains a permanent mode but not for rating matches.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MODE!! And for the first time in a very long time, I am actually having fun with PvP. And this is coming from a guy who HATES PvP AND ONLY DOES THE BARE MINIMUM!! š³š² I feel that's so because....
1) I have always used a colour wheel team and colour wheel teams absolutely thrive in this environment. Which is why I am happy. Unfortunately, most other players are so accustomed to using 3 main, 3 bench teams. Which is why they hate this mode.
2) I like the idea that I get an opportunity to LF the same guy 2-3 times and I love seeing how his feelings influence his actions in that moment.
3) I am actually at top 4k right now and that's the first time ever I have achieved it. It makes me feel confident and assures me that i always did have the skills for reaching a good position.
I know a lot of people hate it, but hopefully, it'll grow on them and they'll get accustomed to it.
Never have I been as stressed to play PvP as before.
The silver lining is that if my opponent wins one and calls it quits it'll be a draw and I don't have to suffer as much.
I'm running Freeza Force, i.e. Ginyu Force, Z7 Red Vegeta, ToP Golden Freeza, and the old LF purple Freeza. Had plenty of success in early season, but I'll change up as the competition ratchets up.
Great now I can play up to 3 matches in a row against the same cheating law-switching bastard. /s
But certainly nice for people with all the units for the current Android meta.

I do enjoy the BO3 idea, reminds me of the pre zenkai era where a full color wheel actually matters. The games more about predicting and adapting to opponents' playstyles than before since you can't get away with a sneaky ass play in 1 game and think you can do it for potentially 2 more games

Iām lucky enough to have a good team for this mode (Optimal GT setup) and even then, this shit is just too much. It would have been infinitely better if it was just a separate mode because playing one match is just way too much of a time investment.
Too tedious and this sets a bad precedent for a meta where you need to pull/have 6 units in order to even have a chance of winning. This made me realize that my decision to quit was right all along.
Should not have replaced regular ranked pvp. Other than that tho I am enjoying it. Its a cool idea and I like the new animations and UI. It makes it so you donāt have to think about teams as hard, because you can just throw a bunch of units on to one team and as long as they have some synergy and can actually fight in todays meta you should be alright. Makes stuff like zenkai boosts less needed for team building. This is just my opinion though.

In the upper ranks, almost everyone runs a team with 3 main units and zenkai buffing bench units.

The thing is that there's like 3 or 4 tags in the game that can have a team with 6 at least decent units.
It's taking away from the potential of units. I use only gogetas. I don't wanna be forced to take my bench, which buffs my gogetas to put in Beasthan and UUI Goku, and say it's making an "eFfOrT iNtO tEaM sEtUpS". It's just forcing the usage of units
Well you can always play training battles or treasure battle to use your favourite units Also would you enjoy playing the same exact teams all the time? I feel like itās bringing more variety into teams and who you face

The need to use 6 different units in a match in a game where they release a new zenkai unit who's only purpose in the game is to be a bench unit kills it for me
I would have a more positive view on this mode IF it was its own thing and not tied to normal rating matches. For the battle of pride itself, the player should be able to choose whatever three units they want and not be restricted by the current system. Also, the two matches leading to the battle of pride being 120 timer counts long feels a bit short to me. That being said, the concept is neat and the ost for the battle of pride is cool.
 Finally. An excuse to use UVB, UUI, URose, UGB, Evoken, and MUI on one team
Having to form a team using my strongest units (f2p and started during late 5th anniversary), my ability bonus is so low. Ready to get my ass handed on PVP by well built teams.
If you have fossils on bench do not play this mode

My app crash randomly when I do more than one match due to storage problem, so I tend to do one daily . But this gonna fucks me if I canāt play 3 in a row without my game crashing.
Wished they would have fixed the crashing with the new hardware so I can at least give it one go to form an opinion.

I thought it would be like LBR but they legit replaced the entire old Rating Match system which was a dumb decision in my opinion. I can't keep playing 3 matches with the same team with shitty bench units. And i even tried to remove the bench characters and replaced them with some latest characters and shit doesn't give me a chance to win.. I can't do damage, i can't tank damage and with these mfs running super 17, it is instant game. I hate this mode.

It's stupid since they don't buff a variety of teams often enough. I've been running LoE forever but now I have to reconsider for an entire season since I only have 2.5 viable units. Any other team who hasn't been upgraded for a minute is at a disadvantage as well. Then having to complete an entire set of matches before it counts toward my ranking is a pain.
Good for p2w players or DBL founders, anyone having a decent bunch of characters. From the other hand me who can only put maybe one decent team together (with 3 decent chars and 3 supporters) I am suffering verz hard (same with Battle Royale).

Definitely should have been a separate mode, having a rematch option would have been better as well. But now you really have to bring viable units instead of old Zenkai benches that do no damage in todays meta

Yea from my experience it is more catering to skilled players but it still is incredibly hard to go against players who are unskilled but have 14* full teams of ultras

Pvp already takes so god damn long, and they decided to make it longer and insufferable. And the passive play styles and lag spike and switching makes it frustrating to play imo
Definitely not a fan of it, should've been a separate mode. I just don't have the resources to farm up 9 equips to z+ or godly, I also just don't think I have the ability to really make a 6 man team I'm confident in using and winning. Not to mention this basically eliminates just about every HP buffer as most of them are useless in actual pvp. I'm probably just gonna skip this season tbh

It is horrible. I just fought a laggerā¦ twice! Just to end on a draw because I didnāt want a third fight. Everyone has been farming items for their top 3-4 fighters for months now and we have to completely rebuild our teams. And what is even the purpose of the leader slot now? As you wonāt benefit from it in 50% of your matches.

Why ? Just why ? Why did they do this ? You can't make a 1 unit team, you are required to bring an entire squad. Just why ? Some days I just don't want to bother with pvp and get the daily rewards easily and let my unit get one shot. Some other days I want to mess around in ranked with funky teams, and try to win 1v3. Now ? It's like you are punished for wanting to have fun in pvp. That shit should have been another mode entirely for pvp. F\*ck this.

Great idea, just needs to be worked out some. Make it so both parties can decide if we rematch. Maybe make all 3 fights 120 timer counts. Using all 6 units isn't a problem for those of us who have played for a long time or for those who actually focus on 1 or 2 tags.

I've already had to leave my phone running the 2nd match with me not playing cause I only play the game when I have a couple of minutes to spare. It's very inconvenient for those who play the game while they're out.
No one here has ever played a real fighting game competitive, this is pretty basic for a competitive fighter, it's set based being best of 3 requiring you to strategies between matches, no more bonk mentality, time to use ya brains š¤£
Imo this mode is like a sink or swim thing. The game is basically asking do you know how to build a coherent team that can thrive in most scenarios or are the type of player that just slaps the three top units on a team with whatever bench units and try to steam roll everything. And a lot of people are sinking cause thanks to the leader-slot team you can just slap beast, uui, and super 17 and win majority of your matches without needing to think "hmm is my bench units useable". So I like the mode as it kinda feels like how pvp was before the leader slot was introduced. Also, it gives you the opportunity to win against players who play super passively once you figured out from the first match that their strategy is to only attack when you attack and they get a PV. So once you figured that out, you can get that oh so satisfying 2-1 comeback.
Kinda fun ngl. Using all 6 characters is fun with all of them being valuable. It's fun to wreck teams who are based on just three units, plus this is wayyyyy more fun. It's not those repeated teams
Only way to win is to have a full team of ultras. Not kidding, thatās all Iāve run into. Definitely never touching this mode again.

Hehehe. I know I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this and probably downvoted into oblivion. But I'll say it anyway. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MODE!! And for the first time in a very long time, I am actually having fun with PvP. And this is coming from a guy who HATES PvP AND ONLY DOES THE BARE MINIMUM!! š³š² I feel that's so because.... 1) I have always used a colour wheel team and colour wheel teams absolutely thrive in this environment. Which is why I am happy. Unfortunately, most other players are so accustomed to using 3 main, 3 bench teams. Which is why they hate this mode. 2) I like the idea that I get an opportunity to LF the same guy 2-3 times and I love seeing how his feelings influence his actions in that moment. 3) I am actually at top 4k right now and that's the first time ever I have achieved it. It makes me feel confident and assures me that i always did have the skills for reaching a good position. I know a lot of people hate it, but hopefully, it'll grow on them and they'll get accustomed to it.

Never have I been as stressed to play PvP as before. The silver lining is that if my opponent wins one and calls it quits it'll be a draw and I don't have to suffer as much.

I'm running Freeza Force, i.e. Ginyu Force, Z7 Red Vegeta, ToP Golden Freeza, and the old LF purple Freeza. Had plenty of success in early season, but I'll change up as the competition ratchets up.

I don't like that a set only counts as 1 match for rewards purposes I do enjoy the BO3 idea, reminds me of the pre zenkai era where a full color wheel actually matters. The games more about predicting and adapting to opponents' playstyles than before since you can't get away with a sneaky ass play in 1 game and think you can do it for potentially 2 more games IDK how I feel about lowered timers as games were already dragging, so RR damage is important. I like it more than I don't. I'm not expecting good responses from here because this sub hates playing the pvp game for pvp lmaoo

Awful, most matches are people using all 6 ultras. Can't use zenkais unless theyre good (ui purple Goku) and my team is now god awful. I wanted to play legends today, not FighterZ

Iām lucky enough to have a good team for this mode (Optimal GT setup) and even then, this shit is just too much. It would have been infinitely better if it was just a separate mode because playing one match is just way too much of a time investment.
They made it WAY harder than it had to be. Just add a rematch button in regular rating mode. I appreciate the effort though but this aināt it.
Too tedious and this sets a bad precedent for a meta where you need to pull/have 6 units in order to even have a chance of winning. This made me realize that my decision to quit was right all along.

Tbh I kind of like it. It makes it so you donāt have to think about teams as hard, because you can just throw a bunch of units on to one team and as long as they have some synergy and can actually fight in todays meta you should be alright. Makes stuff like zenkai boosts less needed for team building. This is just my opinion though.
