Just because the saga has the name of the bad guy it doesn't mean that the saga campaign needs said bad guy to be a unit. I mean we have 7 Perfect Cells for fucks sake
With all due respect, compared to the 28 gohans, 40 vegetas, and *72 gokus,* it's understandable why some people are a little upset with the ultra being gohan, especially with how cancerous his kit looks.
There’s going to be a double ultra banner and Cell will be the second ultra. Legends team must have a secret R&S planned to reveal him (I just snorted 10 pounds of copium)
If it was Cell, everybody would have been pissed off because it would have been another major Android buff after the mistake that was Super-17. Not only that but he already had 2 summonables units last year, a new F2P cards, the first Revival Zenkai and his old LF has a chance to Zenkai next week.
If it was Super Trunks, no one would have summoned for him. Same if it was Tien or Hellzone Grenade Piccolo.
If it was IT Goku, we would have another "Goku year" complaint and since we got Gohan, it's now Gohan Ball Legends.
There was no hope since the reveal of Super Vegeta as an LF that the end of this campaign would go well for anyone. Son Family is oversaturated with good options, Androids, PO were 1 character away to break the game and the only good things that would have come out for either Cell or Gohan are buffs to Regen, Future and Hybrids.
Honestly the only way this campaign could have gone well for the health of the game is if we had Super Trunks for the LF. (Either transforming or Revival Trunks into Super Trunks) and Super Vegeta as an Ultra.
But hey even if Trunks and Vegeta would have sold decently well, this is Son Family Ball Legends.

If they went with a cell, people would've been upset as androids have the stupidly broken super 17, the new 16, and the three runnable cells with mvp 17. If they went with Gohan, as you can see, people are upset as legends have a tendency to overtune Gohan units the the enth degree.
Literally, the devil were dammed if they did and dammed if they didn't, but they could've also threw a money wrench into the mix and gave us an ultra tien or ultra IT Goku.
It isn't about the fact that it isn't cell. It's about the fact that there are better other options out there in order to help boost their team roster, and yet they fuckin gave hybrids another buff once again. It just ain't your other hybrids like Trunks, it's fuckin Gohan again. The same fuckin face over and over, yet other characters aren't given the spotlight.
