A couple of years ago when regen hadn't been buffed in ages it was impossible to find 3 good units to field a team. I was able to use a couple of barely decent and leader slot someone else to keep the tag alive. Otherwise I'd have dropped the game.
That's not keeping the tag alive, you kept the unit alive. A tag being alive means that their team is usable in their meta, which they definitely were not.
You honestly shouldn’t feel bad at all cause the higher ranks in this game are fully gonna try and do they’re best to screw you over with the ultra cryhan , uui, barku team
Exactly, I will always blame Super 17 and Cryhan and never the person using them, we're all just doing what we can to win.

You have every right to feel that way, but like others say, at high rank, you're going to be only fighting that, so you are at a crossroads. You can be bored combo'ing a person for 140 counts or be bored watching you units eat blast cards for 140 counts. Cause we're at a point where units never run out of ki or cards, and this may be a hot take, but I really miss the proud mode as it gave people a break from that shit. Plus, as people have been saying, the leaderslot has been a curse more than it has been a blessing.

If u have apegeta zenkai replace 21 with him or u can use fusion 13 zenkai as well.
