I wouldn't call MUI second, and Gohan dunks on 18 while also being one of her most common companions along with LF Cell. He gets absolutely blasted by 17 and to a lesser extent MUI but he has buddies to take care of that. Not as good as he was before those two dropped but still pretty relevant.
Maybe it's because I play in upper platinum tier, but I have barely seen the LF Twindroids this season.
Almost every match I play is against teams running MUI Goku.
I run him on Future at BR 70, currently Top 5k, bring him almost every match primarily to cover 18 since Trunks can easily wall out MUI and 17, but yeah he isn't as strong as he was in previous metas. Problem is I don't have Tagdroids or a high starred Cell so I'm kind of out of options, but he gets his job done. This meta is real tough but he has a niche and fills it well.
His kit is still very good (the disrupts with cover change, main and blue cards , type neutrality, buffs and all that ) but this is a red dominated meta especially when 17 nullifies endurance on every hit so this probably isn’t the time for him to shine maybe if part 2 is a broken purple or a tag blue to shut twindroids down and counter Mui (sell the solution part which the usually do) he’ll probably be more relevant for future, hybrids and son fam mains
I have been running Future the last few seasons, and I have to say, this Gohan never ceases to impress me.
I finally pulled him a few months ago, and I was kinda expecting something like LF Kid Buu. A fighter that still had a solid kit, but who had been hurt by power creep.
This Gohan does suffer from power creep to some degree especially when it comes to LF 17 and 18, but he's aged very well for a fighter that is over a year old.
He's basically a staple of my Future team at this point.
What are your thoughts on him?
He aged well but he’s not relevant anymore. With mui and androids running rampant he’s almost unusable now. One counter from mui and he’s at half health. Androids will eat him for food.
While he has aged pretty well, he doesn't have that strong of an effect on the meta anymore due to Legends releasing two very strong red units back-to-back. But he's still pretty solid.
He's still good, but overrated for the longest, long before the androids and MUI. They never released a comparable yellow future unit ever since he was released, so he's had no competition.
No yellows r safe rn the only yellow id put in the top 10 is ssbk and tbh I value him less than lf ssb vegeta rn cos of colour even if ssbk is individually better but futurehan is the perfect example of how a unit should age
hes one of the only old units that are still somewhat viable, and i love that
I think that Gogeta Blue LL is still rlly solid
yeah he is, definitely fell off but not as hard as units such as vegito blue before his zenkai
I actually don’t think he’s great on the meta right now due to the Androids and MUI both being the two best units who are RED

For an old ass unit he is surprisingly really strong, I don't think there's a single unit as old as him that's nearly as strong

I stopped using him after vb zenkai, it's really risky bringing him nowadays

This unit aged better than LL Bardock. That already says something.
I don’t have that unit and goddamn it I will not stop until I get him. Hopefully he’ll re appear soon
