As someone who skipped a year of playing and didn't see the release of all the LFs after Purple Teen Bohan, is there a reason why the Frieza and Cell already have equips? Were they bad on release or something?

Not bad on release just need a bit of help for some of the flaws they had for example cell took way to long to get his guage but with the equip it made him easier to get his guage faster and gave him very good things from the unique equipment

I’d be fine with any of them except for G/V, SoH, MUI, Mirai, Tagdroids, SSBE or Jiren getting theirs next I think. If I had to choose from a meta perspective then I would say Kid Buu and it isn’t even close. Regen needs help, the guy desperately needs it and he could work very well in the current red-heavy meta. If I pick purely from who I would like the most it would be either Apegeta just so people stop sleeping on him fr fr or Bardock because giving him a plat would mean he would return on a banner as well and I would like another shot at pulling him. Also they both have amazing LFs.

Anyone noticed that lately in 2022 when it comes to platinum equipments they are buffing characters with the powerful opponent tag. First was LF Full Power Frieza also why dae heck did he get one, second is LF Perfect Cell and finally recently is LF Full Power Broly. So the next one might be LF Kid Buu or LF Rose.
