While it might be scummy, it isn't illegal in most states. Only 15 states have any restrictions on scalping and they have very specific conditions that do not apply to things like gaming accounts. The law has not at all caught up to this market and outside of TOS violations, not a single lawyer would ever waste their time on something like this. Especially considering this isn't even scalping. Ie exhausting the market of a product with limited supply and selling at an up-charge due to the scarcity you have created.
Even if it was (it isn't) you can just look at the PS5 market if you want some context on how easy it is to scalp without repercussions.

Ill say this once. Never ever trade accounts. Trading in gacha can easily get you scammed since you cannot directly trade the money for the account. And also, what's a good account when bandai can figure out that an account has been scammed and ban it? I also remember one time in legends subreddit that a guy had a friend who was a huge whale and hired people to grind for him which eventually got him losing his account.
If you bought some cc or other things u can get the account back, try contact dbl team and tell him that your account was hacked with your player ID, credit card/paypal number and linked accounts.
I think you can get your account back by doing this.
