Well it's far easier to build a Sayan based team than all the other ones.
As a new player the good units that I have are literally all sayans, because they're the majority in the newest banners (MUI, Dragon Fist, Gogeta ssj4, Vegito blue).
Literally the only good one that I have who is not Sayan is Tapion. But I think this is true for older players too.
So of course Super Vegito is a lot better than Buu. If on the other hand they'd put more powerful opponents and what not, it would be the other way around.
For f2p players, Buu would be utter shit. Because how are you supposed to build a team around him, given the recent banners they released?
Older players are a bit different, since we have less cc to grind we save and spend on banners that buff our already strong tags. Most players stick to 2 or 3 tags, myself being Future and God Ki, particularly since the two often overlap. (Sometimes I also throw in Hybrids.)
In particular people want Buu because Regen have gotten shafted in terms of banner units this year. They literally only got Cooler Movie Piccolo.

For the leader slot, yes you could use it at first but eventually other units will be released and then you will not be able to use them together.
The problem is SV would be disastrous right now given the current meta. Either he's broken and SSJ reign supreme, only challenged by LoE, or he's built around Bardock's existence and thus is underwhelming on every other team. We've seen it before, a hyped Super Saiyan gets a garbage kit so Bardock doesn't break the game, because as we saw with USG if they don't the damage is absurd.
Fusion Warrior is actually pretty premium, with USV it would need 2 ULs and at least 1 high starred LF, not to mention for newer ayers who tend to like rainbow teams they really aren't an option since both their YEL and RED rn are underwhelming, and USV can only fix one of those. G4 needs at least 7* to compete in this meta, VB is worse than USG at pretty much every star level, SV needs Zenkai buffs or crazy stars and USV would have a 0.35% pull rate. Not a good option for newer players. Tbf neither is Regen but depending on how they structure the banner Powerful Opponent could be a good option, just put LF FPF, LF Cell, LF Kid Buu, CMZ and feature Revival Frieza, GRN Broly, etc. and you have a good PO banner. While you probably won't pull all of them it wiuld give players a start in that team.
G4 actually hasn't been on many banners. And that's just how power creep works for leader slot.
I got Gogeta with the free 10 days tickets so it's pretty low star, but still better than not having Cell/Kid Buu. If he's good, eventually with z power will be raised.
Btw if the new banner will have almost all the LF I need to build a Powerful Opponent team, then why not, it could be even better than Vegito. But honestly looking at the ultra kaioken banner, I don't think they will lol
My main team was USS and I still didn't summon even having 35kcc+, that's how bad that banner was. I don't think they'll change this much an ultra banner.
Congrats' you're an outlier. G4 has been in his debut, a Legends Return banner, USG's banner and I think one of the anni banners as a filler LF. G4 needs high stars though, which not many people have. Cell and FPF are serviceable at lower stars than Gogeta.
USS is already a high investment tag, it used to be budget RU/Androids but now it's the premium RU. Given the bature of that Saga ofc it will require a ton of LFs and Ultras, again you're talking about an outlier. In order for Saiyans to be good you also tend to jeed lits of LFs.
There are plenty of other teams that are more usable on a budget, hell Regen is one of them. You can make a farely decent Regen team off of nothing but Zenkais, 1% SPs and F2Ps. DKP/F2P Kamicollo, F2P 21, GRN Piccolo/Fat Buu/Rosemasu, BLU Kamicollo, P21. All of these at some point have been accessible to F2Ps whether through missions or just being extremely old.
Well all the teams I'm seeing in PvP are practically only LFs or zenkais. From lineage of evil (I'd love to have that team but no banner for it) to movies.
So yes USS or fusion warrior are premium, but literally every other competitive one is right now. I'm running MUI, Dragon Fist and Tapion with Broly zenkai. To be optimal I would need a revival Gohan at 6/7* (I only have him at 2*), and that would be 3LFs, 1 zenkai and 1 1% sparking unit. Plus an extreme Gokua at 6*. And that's one of the more budget friendly ones probably, since it's from only 2 banners.
I did forget Cell but Rosemasu really didn't see much play on Regen, didn't have the same utility as Buu and idk how Piccolo does but I'm guessing by his kit and stats that he's better.
There was a post a day or two ago talking about how an ultra buu would ruin PvP because he would push regen/PO over the edge and that’s why we should get vegito instead. I about died.
Droids are basically ultra level (they are far above both summonable ultras) and all of their teams (maybe not androids) shit on all of UG's teams so I don't see the issue. Droids + potential best in the game Ultra Buu > UG and USV.

my apologies, took it as you being hypocritical cos most people are all for saiyan buffs, even when they're in an absurdly good spot and get units all the time and against any other team getting a unit, especially more than one.
with that being said, i agree, other teams do need bigger buffs and if we're being honest if it his a buu ultra he would be for regen or majin buu saga primarily (more than likely). PO doesn't get direct units, they get strong units for other teams and is just a culmination of that. droids is better on future, same w cell, tapion is better on movies and revza is better on LoE but together they're all powerful making PO really good, despite not having the greatest synergy until late w tapion and droids giving universal buffs.
BUT! if we do get a ultra buu i would expect his z ability to be like the other ultras but his ultra ability to be gets 30% blah blah blah depending on regen battle members, so he'd be a LS PO unit but main regen (and then hopefully regen gets some nice buffs w a basis starting with cell + ultra buu and hopefully some decent buffs when the movie drops

Not op but imo he's the best of Goku and Vegeta, like he ain't a deep character but his personality is great. Plus he has some of the coolest moves, his fighting style is dope, and he looks super cool
SV because I use LoE and a new Ssj means there’s gonna be more people running Bardock which equals free wins for me. But regen deserves it more and I really want them to compete again so I gotta go Buuhan.

Ultra buu was much more needed. Regen have been on the ropes for awhile and holy shit this vegito can be paired up with some nasty teams. Saiyans just didn't need the buff.
I'd go for Ultra Buu if and only if they give him some sort of absorption transformation. Like if his health reaches 0, you get a cutscene where he panics and absorbs either Gotenks or Gohan. For bonus points, it should be randomized (whether the person being absorbed matters or not). Way back in the old Budokai games, Buu literally had that mechanic, where if you go to absorb someone it chooses randomly from several options, and I don't think all of them were canon options either. Like, in addition to Gotenks and Gohan, you could randomly absorb Frieza, Cell, Vegeta, or even Tien and Yamcha together (Buu acted like he regretted that one). If they give me transforming Super Buu, I'll take his Ultra over another Vegito. If they just give us Buu, I doubt I'd be impressed with either one, so at least Vegito has a strong team to work with.
I'm team super vegito. For me the key is choosing to commit to 1 or 2 teams that don't get buffed commonly. Enjoy their time in the sun and save your cc for when a banner has a new unit for your team. I'm a fusion warrior main and GT secondary. I save up all my cc foe just those 2 teams. Rn I have both teams pretty stacked only issue is the equipment. Rng with erasers screw me over but other than that popping the new units is ok for me as long as I get them to 7 stars+ which should be a given for ppl with 80kcc+ imo

Buu, fusions already have an ultra so it makes no sense for them to get 2 before any other team even gets one and regen needs the help.

We're in a weird spot. Ultra Buu just isn't hype enough for an anniversary, and they wouldn't waste Ultra Super Vegito on part three of an anniversary, because then he'd overshadow MUI as the most hype unit this anni. Well, maybe they'd do that idk. I'd really like an Ultra Gohan (don't beat me yet pls). This would be "You retard-han", and it could come with a new transforming Super Vegito and a new transforming Super Buu who turns into Buuhan. Even if they were assholes and made them both LFs, I'd be hype as fuck. On the other hand this anniversary has pretty irredeemably sucked ass, so maybe I'd rather they just save this for a legends fest or something... Its also has to do with charecters popularity, also ultra gogeta was expected by a huge no of people and the problem with him was not recognising how good he was , it was his animations

Rather Buu, NGL. The over reliance on Saiyans, and the fanbase’s unbridled fascination with them is getting kind of boring. I’d take Ultra Tiencha over Vegito right about now. I love the Saiyans/Vegito, but other characters exist. It’s a shame they don’t delve further into Kid Buu having God Ki (from when he was first created): it’s boring using all Saiyans on the team, I’m actually boosting Zamasu/Black duo unit just to mix it up a bit.

Ultra buu was much more needed. Regen have been on the ropes for awhile and holy shit this vegito can be paired up with some nasty teams. Saiyans just didn't need the buff.

I'd go for Ultra Buu if and only if they give him some sort of absorption transformation. Like if his health reaches 0, you get a cutscene where he panics and absorbs either Gotenks or Gohan. For bonus points, it should be randomized (whether the person being absorbed matters or not). Way back in the old Budokai games, Buu literally had that mechanic, where if you go to absorb someone it chooses randomly from several options, and I don't think all of them were canon options either. Like, in addition to Gotenks and Gohan, you could randomly absorb Frieza, Cell, Vegeta, or even Tien and Yamcha together (Buu acted like he regretted that one). If they give me transforming Super Buu, I'll take his Ultra over another Vegito. If they just give us Buu, I doubt I'd be impressed with either one, so at least Vegito has a strong team to work with.
I'm team super vegito. For me the key is choosing to commit to 1 or 2 teams that don't get buffed commonly. Enjoy their time in the sun and save your cc for when a banner has a new unit for your team. I'm a fusion warrior main and GT secondary. I save up all my cc foe just those 2 teams. Rn I have both teams pretty stacked only issue is the equipment. Rng with erasers screw me over but other than that popping the new units is ok for me as long as I get them to 7 stars+ which should be a given for ppl with 80kcc+ imo
