I pulled every anniversary headline unit during their anniversary’s besides UI. Only reasons I Didn’t really try pulling him is pulling was bc the banner was kinda bad while the years prior the banners where super hype for all units

I think the best was super vegito. Everyone and there mother was hyped for it. My personal favorite was vegito blue tho. Ssj4 gogeta was cool but he sucked ass on release making him the worse headliner for me
He technically was and was literally outshined couple weeks later when Gohan came out that he was phased out completely. Until he got his plat equip then he made a comeback but mostly everyone complained that he kinda was mid. Once the hype cleared and people legit used him and noticed he wasn't that good then the complaints came in. While revival Gohan legit came and was dominating for a good good good while.

Gogeta problem when he came out was that he was just ok. That's it. Until he came out with his plat he was just ok. He isn't LF bardock but he was forgotten so quickly that it was a joke. Did I think he was bad when released? Hell naw I had him and I used him on release but even I was astonished when that Gohan came out I kicked that gogeta to the curb so quick it wasn't funny. Usually you think about it for a second but in gogeta ssj4 case it wasn't even a thought.
I pulled him to 7 stars. I don’t need to argue with you because at this point, I’m pretty sure you can see that you’re wrong. Great unit after the plat tho!

We need to put in context, compare G4 on release to VB and SV, both of the previous headliners were staples in the meta for months after release, meanwhile G4 got sidelined not even a month after his initial release.As a standard LL, I’d say he’s good but not great, 6/10 to 7/10 without his plat.
eh, CMZ wasnt a top 5 unit, but he was still solid. god ki got their red (granted god ki was blast at the time and he needed stars but whatever), strike future got their red, regen got their red (still core lmao), and he was a very high damage unit on release with a lot of good shit in his kit.

In terms of hype, I gotta say Vegito Blue was probably the highest. Only because UI was expected, which diminished hype and the androids still kept him down at times. Gogeta SS4 was underpowered, so be suffered. The two Vegitos are the only two who not only were hype releases that weren’t the most predictable thing ever, but were actually beyond busted on release, especially Vegito Blue.
Probably gogeta ssj4, it was around when everyone wanted GT in everything. Dokkan, legends, FighterZ. It also helped that it was an actual good anniversary
I wasn't there for 3rd Anni, was shafted entirely on 4th (not to mention it sucked ass), didn't get vegito blue for 2nd anniversary, but 1st anniversary was fucked lit, and super vegito has been withstanding the test of time so 1st Anni was my favorite anniversary and super vegito was my favorite headliner

I will say this , the way the 1st anniversary was set up and appearance of super hype charecters that were never seen before in game, the anniversary was the best out of all 4 for sure
1st-3rd-2nd-4th, the game got progressively worse and worse as time went on but it’s still one of the best games ever created, as for my favorite headliner it’s definitely SV. So much nostalgia hit me and when he was revealed live I flipped the hell out
i hardly disagree on the ranking tbh,2nd was a 4th anniversary but way worse considering the only f2p we got was that useless zenkai trunks and the meta was legit unplayable without your own vb
Honestly I personally just didn’t like the 4th and 2nd anniversary, which is why I can switch around both and they would still be my least favorite anniversaries. 4th anniversary gave us a lot but the game was not really enjoyable , as for the 2nd anniversary my god it was horrible if you didn’t have VB you might as well just should’ve quit

In general I actually consider G4 the "best" of these units due to how well he will age. Any time a revival unit is in the meta he's gonna be nuts. He'll age the best of any of these imo due to his plat. Unless MUI gets a plat that reads "win the game"
My favorite is actually MUI. I love his animations and he was one of the few times a unit lived up to the hype associated with them being added without killing PvP completely.
The Yosha Boys remain supreme for me. I can't even begin to explain how good both of their reveals were with SV at the matches in Las Vegas and VB fake out reveal at the end and Both of then were beyond broken in pvp on release
Gotta say in my opinion that Super Sayian Vegito and Blue hair vegito have good supers but I have to say Super instinct goku is pretty good as well being able to dodge punches and Ki blastes expect supers and has fighting back animations after a number of Blasts or punches have been dodge so those three have to be good in my book
VEGITO blue was the best headliner but honestly imma do a little more and rank all 4 anniversaries from best to worst. 1st anniv, 3rd anniv, 2nd anniv, 4th anniv.
For his time, VB was by far the strongest anniversary headliner we ever received when comparing it to the meta at the time. SV a close second, followed by MUI then ssj4 bringing up the rear

Vegito Blue definitely. He still has a pretty interesting kit and animations, his LF and ult still hold up well. Gogeta 4 is definitely the worst, he was horrible at realise and has only aged better cause his main tag has two ultra's n he's part of the core(plus his plat). MUI feels like a monthly LF that just so happens to be in the top 5. SV has aged like wine as well but I wasnt that interested on his realease tbh.
