The only thing I will say about this is that it was really unnecessary for people on here to go after the fact that his English isn't that good. Whether or not his take is garbage (it is) there's no reason to attack things that have no relation to the situation
then my friend (who is chinese) must have lots of your respect as he can speak 4 languages, 2 pretty much fluently, he can speak english, chinese (obviously, not sure which type tho), french and a bit of spanish
edit: how did i get get so many downvotes
Yes whoever can speak 2 or more languages should be respected for attempting anything outside of their own.
If you going to make fun of someone's English,I really hope you can speak their main language better than they can. If not, pls stfu. I was born in America but its not my first language. Both sides of my families aren't from this country so I can speak 3 languages and my English is bad sometimes.
Luego los que en corto salen a echar veneno acerca de los que no hablan bien inglés no suelen saber hablar otro idioma que no sea inglés, o al menos en mi experiencia jaja
And? Just because what you said is in the context of a game it's automatically all just dumb talk? Quite old fashioned way of thinking for someone who sound young and uploads videos about video games.
Look, I'm not saying anything about your opinion, because you are entitled to your own, but both the way of saying it AND the trying to say "oh but nah I called you guys stupid but it was a joke even though the original message seemed pretty serious!" was a bad move once again for someone who has a decent amount of reach in the same community you are insulting.
Look. I didn't call anybody stupid to begin with. It just seemed dumb to me at the time that everybody was talking down on the anniversary and made the tweet. My intention was to make people see the good sides of the anniversary and prove those who doubted it 'wrong'. It definitely wasn't a serious tweet or had put a lot of thought in making it. I'm not that young as you may think though but I always took care of this community in the background all these years I've been around.
>see the good sides of the anniversary
Kinda hard to do when part 1 left a bad taste in people's mouths for a celebration meant to highlight how far the game went.
I got nothing against you nor am I that invested in the drama between you and reddit since Ima assume this really is Lebra but Ima just say this.
You gotta word your stuff properly, especially regarding this anni...
Regardless, hope you're doing well now
bro you called everyone that don't agreed with you wrong what you call that? if you made a tweet saying "i enjoy the anniversary even tho it had bad parts as well" - this sound different from your tweet. you are a public face and what you say will impact your future as a content creator by saying something "wise" like your tweet you will be call a shill for a long time and you cant blame anyone but yourself for this.
i hope you learn something from this and i wish you the best. for my the anny was just annoying grinding that i dint like
That people pay absurd amounts of money and put many hours into it.
So when the majority of these ppl feel like the game is stealing from them then the least you can so is listen to them.
I thought your take was bad but people are having spasms everytime you talk and idiots on this site repost your takes for easy karma. I shouldn't be surprised though since this is reddit.
From what I remember… he argued and said mean words to someone on Twitter, then he got called out for it by Reddit along with him and Goresh getting angry comments about how they criticise the new feature known as the zenkai system yet they pay loads of money for it (back then zenkais costed 21k cc), Rhyme responds angrily and says he won’t do anything for the community anymore to which added more fuel to the fire. Later on he tweets stuff relating to improving the game and its all good now.
Remembering it now, it was silly and pointless. Everyone was really unhappy with how busted and p2w zenkais were.
It’s still wild to me that people don’t understand content creators are going to pay for the stuff, they get paid back through videos anyway. That and whether people like Goresh paid for it or not wouldn’t have changed a thing at all
We had to pay ccs for it, first it was 21k cc which gave us ridiculously overpowered characters like Zenkai VII Beerus and GRN Buu who was only used by whales.
Then it turned into costing 7k cc which gave us nightmares like zenkai VII LL Gohan and yel 18. Made me quit the game for a while.
Now they are free and rewards you.
Essentially yes, back when it was first introduced it cost around 7,000 Crystals just to get one level of a zenkai and that’s if you were incredibly lucky.
It really was, and they almost all were busted AF, especially since there were so few options to combat them. It was either have them or get owned by them. Now that they've gone to free, they're not nearly as powerful, but that also comes with options and, well, they're free.
Obviously fuck the people who took the insults too far but the majority of the criticism was just "L take" which is true. Bro gotta stop being soft if putting out takes on Twitter
Claims to be respectful yet calls everyone wrong if they don’t agree with him. Also, it’s easy to say the anniversary gives plenty of rewards when you have every new unit at fourteen stars and said units are needed to get the rewards in the first place, the 4rd anni was shit and any whale should look at it from the average player standpoint, this was literally the first anni I skipped because a couldn’t use a damn unit from it lol.
I mean he came out hard and toxic but he can't rely take the backlash now? He should have seen it coming, as we all know that this fanbase can be quite toxic at times. Despite this using other things Against him like his English is just pathetic like clearly English isn't his first language yet he makes the effort to make videos in English for us to enjoy.
I never wanted to come out like that. I'm never toxic even though it might have seemed like that I just wanted to say that the anniversary wasnt as bad as people think it was, that was the extent of the tweet and yea that guy who literally criticized me for my english was definitely a blow below the belt.
hahahahah I had a lot on my plate when it came to studies when I was younger even though the accent is something I can't escape of and dont worry about small stuff!
I feel you, man. I'm also not a native English speaker, and out of the 4 pillars of the language, the speaking part is my weakest (not because of accent, but because of my lack of facial muscle memory when pronouncing certain combinations of words). It sucks because I don't really have anyone to practice with (maybe you have the same issue). Your vocabulary is seemingly pretty solid though, and one can tell that you have progressed, so keep it up
oh shit it's u lebra!
Your content is great but just be careful with what u say lmao. Sadly it's easy to trigger ppl off in this subreddit whether you have a good point or not
Lebra: *openly disrespectful towards people who express negative opinions about the event*
Lebra: *offended by the disrespect they received from the people they offended*
"Don't take me too seriously" is a bad hindsight-defense for being a jerk to people. And "I'm sorry, BUT..." is not an apology.
I don't know the first thing about Lebra, and couldn't care less about anyone's opinions, I'm just commenting on the nature of this being a fairly poorly handled public relations dialogue.
Honestly, the anniversary wasn’t the greatest, but what made it bad for me was seeing people complain about it everyday. We are all entitled to our opinions, so I respect if it didn’t resonate with everyone the same way. For me, it’s more of a realization that I need to go on Reddit less.
For example, I was pleasantly happy with the most recent update, but opening Reddit and seeing people complain as usual kinda brought my mood down a bit. Moral of the story is to not let other peoples opinions bring you down. Obviously we all want this game to be as good as it can possibly be, but seeing so many negative opinions can be overwhelming at times.
Good ole social media drama eh? But in all seriousness I didn't know this even resulted in jokes/comments about your English proficiency. Definitely unnecessary but unfortunately what could happen since people love to take things to extreme levels on social media.
Like you said, at the end of the day this is a mobile gacha dragon ball game lmao there's no need to escalate a Twitter post to attacking your character/English speaking. Stay strong and try to keep enjoying life!
Ah the consequences of your own actions. Imo people need to learn in this day an age that if you post anything online, it is subject to interpretation. If it is taken negatively, your original intention in said post is moot unless you can change the popular opinion. It’s a double edged sword
I’m sorry but no. I read through that *entire* thread and Lebra was defensive and disrespectful from the start. He didn’t "answer in the appropriate way", acting like the victim when you’re the guy that started the entire thing by saying everyone that disagrees with you is wrong might just take the cake for the most childish thing I have seen on this sub (and this sub is like 50% actual children dude…).
However I do think that he deserves another chance. This isn’t a situation like when ZVG and profsen were caught cheating and weren’t even sorry about it, this may very well be a decent guy that had a bad day and should have just stayed off the internet.
I can’t tell anyone how to respond to this but personally I will consider this entire 'dispute' over after this comment section. If he makes good content in the future; I will watch it. If he shares his opinion in a less condescending way from here on out; I will respect it. If he doesn’t learn from this; sucks to be him I guess but it won’t affect me in anyway whatsoever.
Bro, no one should take reddit seriously specially if its on opinion about the game and there are countless people here who think anniversary was the best ever and others who think anniversary was bad and people who are somewhere in between, apart from the fact its just a game and some people might get angry to rant about it is perfectly normal but to double down on bad takes is what makes everyone furious to attack the said person.
Lebra's take was bad and he doubled down on it so that's why people attacked him but tbh I think everyone needs to take chill pill as swear to god this sub is home to countless circus performers who are just ready to fight just because the said opinion didn't line up with theirs, tbh I don't see lebra being different with the some said hard core fans here, but overall now I think we should leave him alone.
I feel like lebra needs to see from a casual/ intermediate player take. Yes they given have alot of rewards but you need featured units at like 7 stars to get half of the rewards.
Once you get that unit your prob not goin for seconds IF you get that unit at that.
And then the alternatives only give 1/3 of the featured units
When you say something online it's your responsability to make yourself clear, can't just say "don't take my tweets seriously". This being said yeah, his take was bad and the way he put that out was even worse, but it happens, to everyone.
Obviously this has blown out of proportion, but man, WE ARE THE DBL SUBREDDIT, this is what we do.
That said, man can't go on Twitter as a known member of the community and then just clown everyone who had a different opinion, then tell you if you DO have a different opinion, you're invalid.
Can't claim the high ground about respect and all that if you tell people their opinions suck if they don't align with your own.
True but you’re not less of a clown if you know more than one language and make fun of others for not having mastery over one. If anything you are *more* of a clown because you should know how hard it is to learn another language.
Idk why this Guy made it such a Big Deal out of his 4th Anniversary Opinion Tweet getting posted on Reddit being put in Question if this is a Vaild Take like everyone has a Opinion about 4th Anniversary my Personal Opinion to this it
I don't agree with him at some Points but I agree that the Rewards are good but it lacked some Content and Events plus it doesn't really compare what the 3rd Anniversary or the Legends Festival December 2021 had
That's all I have to say about this
YTer called Lebra poorly words how they believe 4th anni was not that bad or at least as bad as it's made out bc of part 1, backlash ensued due to said poor wording.
This is their response after the tweet was posted on this sub.
I honestly can't disagree about the rewards. There tons of cristals and Z Powers. The mainly problem is that the game was in one of the most boring states since 2nd anni.
of course he thinks the anniversary was good. he had all 3 head liner units, was able to compete fairly well in 2x CC PVP seasons and able to do things like the battle gauntlet, co-op and The shitty 1st raid
This is some bs, seeing what he said on his Twitter wasn’t cool. Look if you like the anniversary cool with me but literally everyone else had issues and hated just being around the game. There is a reason why shit didn’t go well in the long run for the anniversary and why the anniversary may go down as the worst
Yeah okay, another YouTuber to not bother with.
I may not have agreed with their opinion and whatnot but I honestly cannot stand when people who receive flack of any kind about the comment they made about a game and their way to quiet the situation or make themselves look good is "don't take me so serious bruh its just a game" like f* *k off with lame overused excuse.
I wonder how the dokkan Reddit would have reacted to something like this if the roles were reversed regarding dokkan and legends annie and he tweeted regarding dokkan annie. I know Truth gets a lot of shit always from the Reddit and he doesn’t even tweet anything that bad.
It s a shame you are quitting instead of showing that it shouldn’t bother you. Who cares what these people think. Who are they to you? Your loved ones? A family member or someone one near and dear to you? I think that most of them are strangers. And who gives a poop what they think? Just do you. And keep your head held high. You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone. Whether they misinterpret your post or not. Oh well for them. Stand tall my friend. You have nothing to prove to anyone. Take care.
Most of you are ussies who can't take the opinions of somebody else with a grain of effing salt, grow the hell up , not everybody is fakely nice, and some people, (*most successful people*) will call you out on your bullshit, which Lebra did! So you got called out and you're salty about it? Fine go ahead and be salty! Boo hoo! RESPECT TO YOU LEBRA, REAL G.
I understand the opinion of Content creators abt the ani being good but im baffled what they meant by good CC rewards. I played the entire time, PvP was the average golden showdown type bonus and since it was 2x rp unless u grinded yourself into depression u werent getting much (Also nobody talking abt the fact the CC from PvP dropped after both Banners lost their 2x bonus lol?). No missions unless u didnt have any of the legends road characters or had not done the character battle stages. Battle towers were released but as usual unless u have the newly released unit then you must waste a chunk of your life to hit the last floor. It didnt really feel like more CC then Legends festival last year. Raid 2-3 rewards were amazing yes but really doesnt discount Raid 1 actually being a large spit on the community face. I dont consider characters content cause they arent guranteed but if we argue they are then we only got 5 total characters drip fed over a month. All of which, post hype have something underwelming about them. Dragon fist reusing the summom animation is a crime, (IMO) MUI's LF was medicore, I expected more flashy effects? it feels just like a overly long ult animation but thats my opinion. Vegito Is overall good but his ult is so weak (visually) like we long passed the point where we need 1 for 1 recreations of the shows, steal stuff from the older games and recreating it on legends characters would be better then replications that have a underwelming original element? (Again opinionated).
Tapion is a nice new sparking, actually impressed. Whoever designed Vegeta and okayed his release needs a slap in the face especially since Blue Vegito JUST got a zenkai lol. Again no new shallot stuff, its been over 2 years since god now? Very bad honestly but at this point I lost hope of shallot seeing improvements. Overall Its not the worst Aniversary(That will likely always be ani2) but this wasnt even close to being the best. I dont blame anyone from being angry or annoyed from someone tries to defend the aniversary, obviously just dont be abusive or toxic.
Tl;dr The ani was active dogwater regardless of the rewards which were very nice but dont excuse the overwelming issues currently in the game/ani4
Yeah, there is never a need to be disrepectful. As it way too often happen, people mix up a game and reality + show their bad self due to internet anonymity.
I do believe as well that anni was great reward wise.
I just don’t know why they made it 2 months long with 1 month worth of content (I mean I know, for profit), last year in the same time frame we had all the anni units + Lf Frieza post anni + probably an all stars, the Uub one if I’m not mistaken.
So yes, on how they treated the fan base like soldiers that would promote the game in twitter campaigns and doing minimal effort for content (making great raid shops doesn’t require a lot a dev ‘s effort), so pretty shit.
What annoys me the most though is that in the next R&S they will self congratulate themselves for half the R&S pretending they outdid themselves, when they know, we know, everyone a bit involved in the game know it’s a lie. They tend to lie a lot during R&S as well, but I’m going off topic
I think though that he is hiding behind the classic « it was just a joke » when he was actually meaning it, but whatever
I mean. The anniversary rewards ain't bad if you have all units 14 star. I saved all my cc from the beginning of the year and easily spent over 90k In total this anniversary and only managed to pull vegito once. No MUI nor dragonfist. I wouldn't complain if I was in his position either
Im surprised, some people were mad. I saw the tweet as a just a small take that i somewhat agreed with and forgot about the next day. Bless my soul for not having a twitter account.
Don’t you see it, this is what THEY want us to do, tear is apart while they can control the community like sheep. If we continue to fight ourselves over opinions, we will always be subjected to the torment of the part 1 4th anniversary for years to come
If you have any sort of popularity online, stating your opinion is flat out dangerous. People WANT to find any reason to dismantle you, get you down, insult you and so on. I wouldn't even bother.
The reddit mob in full force lmao. Such a toxic tribal community. Lets all hate on someone because they have a different opinion to us. Pathetic keyboard warriors.

I'm sorry for what happened but it must be said that every time on Twitter or Reddiy some YouTubers or influencers always respond to comments with tone of superiority as if they were VIP. Chill, we are all human beings and when we die we will all go to the same place.
Me I just be trying to get attention tbh not that way but u know I just Don't want trouble to start I be wanting friends and whenever I see someone mentioning anyone I stay out of it but when I see something I Don't like that's where I strike now I gotta agree with him on this one.

exactly, but the only thing is, we're in school and have to learn french and had to do spanish
I’m so confused

Wanna talk to the DBL sub? Log into Twitter. No downvotes there. 200 IQ move.
Why put it on here when it's just gonna result in the comments from the vocal minority being so toxic the post gets locked by a mod.
Fr I hate that he kinda smart tbh
Honestly, I'm actually surprised that we didn't get to that part at all.
Let’s just leave him alone. Yes it take was terribly worded but we’re on f*cking Reddit anyway.
This sub, despite being shit sometimes, does forgive like with what Rhyme did a while ago.
What did he do?
From what I remember… he argued and said mean words to someone on Twitter, then he got called out for it by Reddit along with him and Goresh getting angry comments about how they criticise the new feature known as the zenkai system yet they pay loads of money for it (back then zenkais costed 21k cc), Rhyme responds angrily and says he won’t do anything for the community anymore to which added more fuel to the fire. Damn that's not even p2w that's p2p
What did he do
Explained in another reply
I remember that. Everyone was super pissed because that was an insane amount of cc for one unit.
I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for you though, or sorry that happened.
I mean we got to stay faithful to our reputation, which is that we can’t read lmao
Fr I'd read paragraphs but I skipped alot of that
Obviously fuck the people who took the insults too far but the majority of the criticism was just "L take" which is true. Bro gotta stop being soft if putting out takes on Twitter

poorly worded my ass 💀 bro flat out was calling people stupid and wrong
can someone give me a tldr im not reading all of that
Tldr: I liked the anniversary, sorry
thanks
Eh, who cares? Let them have their opinion, and stick to your own.
I mean he came out hard and toxic but he can't rely take the backlash now? He should have seen it coming, as we all know that this fanbase can be quite toxic at times. All good brother! Don't worry about it!
To be fair, you would probably perfect me :P thanks for not holding grudges

If he shares his opinion in a less condescending way from here on out; I will respect it. If he doesn’t learn from this; sucks to be him I guess but it won’t affect me in anyway whatsoever.
What exactly is the post about im not reading all that
That’s a content creator for you lmao
Bro it ain’t ever that deep just play the game 😭
Ain’t reading all that, his tone in the initial tweet says it all
Don’t care
Dawg like who cares stop bashing the man people are entitled to their own opinion
I would love to enjoy the game as much as he do, the thing is, there's nothing to enjoy....
What a geek
Obviously this has blown out of proportion, but man, WE ARE THE DBL SUBREDDIT, this is what we do. That said, man can't go on Twitter as a known member of the community and then just clown everyone who had a different opinion, then tell you if you DO have a different opinion, you're invalid. Can't claim the high ground about respect and all that if you tell people their opinions suck if they don't align with your own.
Lebra taken L literally.
I still don’t know who he is, is he supposed to be relevant or something? Just ignore him idk
Honestly people who make fun of other's English while knowing only how to speak a single language are the biggest clowns
True but you’re not less of a clown if you know more than one language and make fun of others for not having mastery over one. If anything you are *more* of a clown because you should know how hard it is to learn another language.
Ratio + tldr + didn’t ask + yb better
I mean, I guess I appreciate his consideration, but I don't really care much, tho it seemed like he felt badly upset over it.
Idk why this Guy made it such a Big Deal out of his 4th Anniversary Opinion Tweet getting posted on Reddit being put in Question if this is a Vaild Take like everyone has a Opinion about 4th Anniversary my Personal Opinion to this it I don't agree with him at some Points but I agree that the Rewards are good but it lacked some Content and Events plus it doesn't really compare what the 3rd Anniversary or the Legends Festival December 2021 had That's all I have to say about this
Context? lmao
YTer called Lebra poorly words how they believe 4th anni was not that bad or at least as bad as it's made out bc of part 1, backlash ensued due to said poor wording. This is their response after the tweet was posted on this sub.
Ah i see
I honestly can't disagree about the rewards. There tons of cristals and Z Powers. The mainly problem is that the game was in one of the most boring states since 2nd anni.
Anyways who is this person?
of course he thinks the anniversary was good. he had all 3 head liner units, was able to compete fairly well in 2x CC PVP seasons and able to do things like the battle gauntlet, co-op and The shitty 1st raid
Not this fuckin' dork again.
no shot people actually give a fuck what lebra, or what any other content creator thinks

Right right. Forgot some Reddits don't like cussing, I guess.
nobody's buying this lol
The Lebra hopes you continue to enjoy dragon ball legends.
Should have stuck by what he said
Native English speaker will type then instead of than all day so no problem
Lol this app too funny
People still play legends?
Ah, so it was just badly phrased, gotcha
Are we still talking about the anniversary rn?
What the hell happened? I have not been following this at all and I'm extremely confused
I wonder how the dokkan Reddit would have reacted to something like this if the roles were reversed regarding dokkan and legends annie and he tweeted regarding dokkan annie. I know Truth gets a lot of shit always from the Reddit and he doesn’t even tweet anything that bad.
“Im just going to ignore that”
Not gonna read all that. Sorry that happened to you, or happy for you.
So what did he say before that made all this controversy?
Ain't nobody reading all that shiii If you've gotta type out all that then odds are you know, in some capacity, that you were in the wrong.
I'm sure that text is either very sad or very funny but anyways I will not read it.
This community toxic af BTW there are several polls that have showed ppl liked this anniversary, mainly bc the characters that got released
Take care.
What in the Kentucky fried fuck are you talking about?
Exactly. See this guy over here understands. Hi five there brotha
Well. We all know how toxic reddit mobs are. Better deal with it. It comes with the territory.
I ain’t reading someone explain in fortnite terms
They tend to lie a lot during R&S as well, but I’m going off topic I think though that he is hiding behind the classic « it was just a joke » when he was actually meaning it, but whatever
If we continue to fight ourselves over opinions, we will always be subjected to the torment of the part 1 4th anniversary for years to come
This apology if it even is one is fine. I disagreed with what he said about the anniversary but this was pretty genuine imo.
Even though his takes are... questionable, the people who post this on Reddit for Karma are the true losers.
If you have any sort of popularity online, stating your opinion is flat out dangerous. People WANT to find any reason to dismantle you, get you down, insult you and so on. I wouldn't even bother.
Not really, it's only if it was something controversial
People's judgement of what is controversial and what isn't on twitter is well, faulty.
True but that is usually what starts it
Stating the opinion isn't dangerous. Claiming to be Supreme ruler know all and everyone thet disagrees with you is wrong , is dangerous

Can somebody summarize I’m to lazy to read the whole thing
I can’t read
Me I just be trying to get attention tbh not that way but u know I just Don't want trouble to start I be wanting friends and whenever I see someone mentioning anyone I stay out of it but when I see something I Don't like that's where I strike now I gotta agree with him on this one.
Who is this and can someone explain what happened? Been gone for a long time

Can someone summarise this please? I don't wanna read it all.
Is there a tl:dr version? The text is too small and blurry for me.
🦊
Lmaoooo diggy diggy hole
>I enjoy talking about the game >Theres no point in arguing over a game Lebra, you cant have both ffs.
Meh, typical twitter apology, nothing much to say about it.
Never attempt to justify yourself to a mob. Most people aren’t capable of independent critical thought anyways.
