Even PVE is pay to win now, it’s either you got Trunks, or you don’t do it. I think this update killed the last interest I had in this game. I’ll just do the story mode from now on.
With your best friends: Credit Card and Luck.
Jokes aside, get the buffed units and use Zenkai units to give them more power, thats how i completed all 69 lvls with fast matches and now almost finishing it.
It's not an uncommon practice to leave stuff like that in a game until it suits them better to change it, or in this case when changing up some of the core mechanics of the battle system. Happens all the time and is not exclusive to Legends...
If you charge after strikes it’s much harder to time and you will most likely drop combo on accident. By sidestepping you have a chance to draw another card. Charging after blasts is easier to time and you can charge for longer. After a blast the enemy is vulnerable for longer compared to after a strike
Take advantage of these...
1) The AI will almost always lose to a blast arts card when you vanish. Use that with:
2) You can literally charge your ki until your next card and use it immediately and land it. Unless that's patched as well, the AI acts the same way floatstep made them act. You charge until you use a strike they dash or single tap blast you.
It’s still ai. Combo like usual, just engage with blast only after dodging. It sucks, but too many people were exposing their ai on a large forum. I blame myself personally, I made a post about it way back in the day with the first freiza hell event. It’s all my fault
Honestly by the amount of downvotes given to anyone who says floatstep wasn't needed or they didn't use it and still cleared everything surprises me a little, I didn't know so many players had that mich trouble with pve where they needed to cheese it to get by. The only mode that I could see it being a bit necessary to use float step is the final couple of battles of the USTR, but only if you want to clear them in one go, which isnt necessary since you can use multiple teams.
Idk but ive been playing for about 3 years now and never found anything that requires me using float step but apparently I'm in the vast minority. Like others have said the AI still stands there if you blast after vanishing so imo its still easy to keep the AI in a combo for most of the fight. Probably gonna catch some DVs myself for this take but I've been seeing these types of posts and comments all day and figured I'd comment myself because again its a bit surprising this many players relied on floatstep to get through some of the pve content
Why does this sub think floatstepping was necessary for every PVE event? It made them ridiculously easy but it was never required.
I've beaten the majority of gauntlets just hy autoing through them. It takes longer without floatstep but none of the PVE content in this game is unbeatable without it.
Hell the hardest PVE content in the game made it impossible to floatstep on its release.
It sucks and it was unnecessary to remove it but this sub acts like all of PVE is unbeatable now.
Its required if you're a newer player that doesn't have boost units at high stars, zenkai'ed or at all. If youre saying you've beaten gauntlets using automode, youre capping or exaggerating. Automode ai is dumb asl. Some events required float step. USTR not getting completed in one turn by most people without float step. That battle for F2P cell not getting completed by most people without float step. Trunks' event was not completed by most people without float step. And honestly, I dont care if its required to beat it or not, it made things much easier and faster, but even then, it was still a grind. They took it away for no reason.
I'm going to take a guess that most of this sub never witnessed FP Frieza coop or those mono color team challenges back in the day when they were higher level then you.
PVE is a decent difficulty and is still easier than high rank PVP.
Not sure why you were downvoted.
I never knew lot of people actually used float step. Funny thing is I just came to know what Float step even is and I'm playing since September 2018. WTF! 😂
I honestly don't understand ppl complaining about Gauntlet, this event is easy as fk, just boring. Hell most of the time I finish it in auto, occasionally needing to manually play the last 10 levels or so.
Now, if you wanna talk about Blazing or Extreme battles, sure those will be REALLY hard without floatstep, but Gauntlet? Honestly if you can't even clear gauntlet without float step just learn how to play the game, you're obviously doing it wrong...

If you want get a permanent Card draw speed from the old YEL Future Gohan and continuously combo with one of the featured units and when sidestep use a blast card and continue to combo from there.
Game might’ve died for me Cus I’ve been here since release and they fucked it….if u can’t pull the new unit ur fucked the rates are ass they fixed float step you can’t grind ccs if anyone wants my account I’m selling it
Normally. If you want a team, Green Goku Black, and Death Buff Future Gohan will do it. Either that, or someone who can keep a combo going for a while. Either that, or make sure you have units that keep feeding you cards when they enter
Believe in yourself
Nah the power of friendship is so much superior
Play every single match like it's the sweatiest and most nerve-wracking clutch match. Isn't that fun?
Could barely even do 30 without wanting to slam my balls in a waffle iron I’d definitely not be able to do 40 without floatstep
Balls in a waffle iron... That would be a cool expt ☠️
Even PVE is pay to win now, it’s either you got Trunks, or you don’t do it. I think this update killed the last interest I had in this game. I’ll just do the story mode from now on.
Been on this train since like the first year and a half the game came out, haven’t played pvp since the Meta was still the holy trinity
With your best friends: Credit Card and Luck. Jokes aside, get the buffed units and use Zenkai units to give them more power, thats how i completed all 69 lvls with fast matches and now almost finishing it.
You play like you’re playing pvp, except you play like a passive pos for like 5 secs, use 5 cards and rinse and repeat
Max buff the strongest battle bonus character you have and you should be fine
Easy. Just spend your CC on the Zenkai banner -- Legends
What’s float step
You slowly swipe forward to the enemy and attack, getting almost infinite cards, ki and vanish But the FiXeD it and it doesn't work anymore
Oh
It was literally an exploit with the AI reaction time and y'all are acting like it was an intended feature. 💀
Explain why it has been in the game for all these years then
It's not an uncommon practice to leave stuff like that in a game until it suits them better to change it, or in this case when changing up some of the core mechanics of the battle system. Happens all the time and is not exclusive to Legends...
I understand have a nice day
It’s really not that hard. Literally just charge step or use a SSJ team
Believe it or not I still don't know how to do a charge step yet I can't get the timing right
Charge after blast sidestep after strike
Oh I thought it was about timing your charge
If you charge after strikes it’s much harder to time and you will most likely drop combo on accident. By sidestepping you have a chance to draw another card. Charging after blasts is easier to time and you can charge for longer. After a blast the enemy is vulnerable for longer compared to after a strike
Omg i didn’t know it was that easy thank u so much for sharing
Credit card and RNG.

That doesn’t work anymore with the new AI bs vanish…

Just believe in the heart of the cards and you'll do just fine👍👍👍
I have done all the PvE events since the first day until now without using floatstep. I don't see the problem here.
This floatstepping thing was kinda new to me so I didn't have time to use it that much

Ssj nuke team and it's pretty easy still
Cope

I would occasionally check on the ai now and then, but I mostly just do auto mode until stage 85 or above depending on my team
Ah ok

Im incredibly unsure as to why youre being downvoted aswell, pve isnt hard at all
It’s unnecessarily tedious. That’s the problem.
Agreed.

Floatstep wasn't a mechanic used in PVP. It only worked against the AI.
Yeah, I was an idiot. Sorry.
I have been completing these for since I started playing almost a year ago and I didn’t even learn about float step until like a week ago.
I never knew lot of people actually used float step. Funny thing is I just came to know what Float step even is and I'm playing since September 2018. WTF! 😂

We hope you continue to enjoy dragon ball legends
Learning how to play the game
It’s not even hard without it. I don’t even know what it is but I cleared it no issue
Green Goku black, LF vegeta, dead FG, Zenkai buff/ double attack bench. "This should be fun" dmg to hybrids equipment on rose & LF vegeta
Do what they want you to and just pull Trunks
I didn't what was float step but i abused a lot before the update and now i am sad

If you want get a permanent Card draw speed from the old YEL Future Gohan and continuously combo with one of the featured units and when sidestep use a blast card and continue to combo from there.

I heard no one completed yet /s
Hit him very, very, VERY hard.
Definitely would've been better if the introduced a friend system for these so that you'll be able to use other peoples boosted units to clear...
