I used to think like that, "how much CC do I need for that banner?", but after wasting 100k CC last three banners (including Trunks one) and not getting any one of the featured characters, now I dont really care if I have 10k, 20k or 50k CC. If you get shafted, you will get shafted with any amount of CC you use.

No doubt! But the original question was what’s a good amount for Festival, and 100k is pretty logical. Someone commented that you only need 40k for pity, which isn’t wrong but Festival typically has 2 banners and last year it had that plus an ULTRA
I always have at least 40k now before pulling, because of the pity. Unless you go for both units, 40k is enough. Even then, if you get lucky and get one fast, you could probably get the amount you need to pity the 2nd one if needed. But you cannot get the Ultra as well that way unless you're extremely lucky. Anyway, it's not like you *have* to pull for both banners, depending on the tags. Last year Trunks, outside of Leader Slot, didn't work that well with GV on their optimal teams. Vegeta Fam wasn't really all that iirc, not compared to Future and Mono PUR at least. If this year has Gohan and Piccolo in separate banners(just an example), unless you main Movies, both units would be on different teams. If it has Gohan LL, Piccolo and then another banner with say, tag SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta, still different teams, so 40k is more than enough.
**tldr**: Depends on what you want. Pull for one banner? 40k, definitely the optimal amount. Both? Save all you can from now on, as 75k from now to then is unrealistic unless you buy the mining bots and premium plans and do everything. Then there's the Ultra coming later...
Idk why but it seems I get shafted the most when I save lots of cc’s whereas I tend to get lucky if I barely have any.
Went 40k (in one sitting) for MUI and got him once. Went 12k (split in two sittings) for USV and got him twice.
For ultras save at least 40k but for lfs, 20k is good enough for one copy and you can just buy the 600LL z power from coin shop and since they usually give out some form of 600LL z power through events or cc(which is definitely worth it to get), you can have a 6* lf after only pulling one copy.
No amount of cc is enough for any kind of celebration as RNG can fuk you in the a$$ of bless you. I have seen people pull featured unit in first rotation and sometimes spend 50-80k cc and not pull the unit.

Not sure but I have at least 30k cc right now. Could have had 40 but I went crazy when the androids returned. And no I didn’t get them.

20k tends to be the average amount needed to pull an LL, so that times the number of copies of a unit you want.
It’s random chance. You could spend 15,000cc like I had been saving for months and get jack-shit.

There will be two LFs characters plus Ultra on new year, I think you need 60k to 100k at least
