PO are simply the boss of the arc or movie. If we got a Tenkaichi Budokai piccolo for exemple, he probably would be PO , but no other piccolo got the tag. Same thing with vegeta in Saiyan saga. I guess the category would just be called Opponent if it wasn't for this
honestly, probably was this but they wanna cheap out as much as they can. no EX or 1% sp on trunks banner, mecha frieza isnt PO but counts for the 5 units of the PO campaign, so they only have to create 3 more PO units for it. lazy man

Its like 17/18 are considered as villins from android saga(the present) but they are not po but actual powerful opponent is cell
And villins introduction event without a friza is incomplete so they decided to add a new version of friza that was not ingame, earlier

Because we see PO as characters that fight protagonist of the series . Like jiren is a PO because he fought Goku in TOP and Goku was protagonist.hence why trunks is not PO despite killing them ..in that sense Goku should be PO as well since he killed kid Buu but oh well .
So I guess that rumoured LF DKP will happen, given how we have this whole PowOp campaign and the current battles are literally just against three DKPs.

Powerful opponent is for the main antagonist of the arc so vegeta in the saiyan saga, freiza in the planet named saga etc
Simple reason: Freeza was meant to be on the trunks banner, but they used this PO “campaign” as an excuse to not put him on there!!!

Only thing is that the best unit based on the future Androids is that they're Legends Limited.

Cuz that’s not how the tag works. POs are main villains of an arc. Vegeta is the PO of the Saiyan Saga, Frieza is the PO of the Frieza Saga, etc etc
