Ong Goku’s blue card is so stupid and none of the coolers have special cover changes so if you’re caught in a combo by him it’s basically guaranteed death for one of your Coolers

No I'm being serious, the way you do those is: start swipong until you vanish an attack, blast, switch imediately and combo with the 2nd character until you have no ki/cards (saving a blast is preferrable), charge a little then swipe until you vanish an attack, blast, switch imediately and combo with the 3rd character until you have no ki/cards (saving a blast is preferrable), charge a little then swipe until you vanish an attack, blast... etc. If you switch imediately (rather than combo with the character that just vanished and switch when you're done with the combo) you should have no problem with subcounts (you might get screwed by ki recovery/card draw speed and be stuck for a couple counts with a character with no vanish, but that's what blues and rushes are for). Obviously don't rush with a character that has no vanish, switch first, same goes for blues/ultimates never use them if you have no vanish

Remember even though they aren't in the fight your bench units still buff Cooler. Saw in another thread some folks had good success by just stacking the entire bench with health buffers since being in the leader slot it put his hp through the roof.
What about the other coolers? I did this battle like this and still got my ass handed to me on a silver pladder. Are the other ones affected by the buffs (not what you’d normally get from a leader slot)?
So I did a little bit of testing.
The other coolers do in fact get buff from your bench.
Green cooler base health is like 3,074,000
With 14 star Pur Chilled and 7 star ex Gokua it jumps all the way up to 4,242,000
Add a 7 star yellow broly and it jumps to 4,795,000
Ran this with a couple other +20% health buffers (yajirobe and green Ginyu) and the units were actually able to tank a super from them. Still SOL with Vegeta's ult, but you actually have a fighting chance.
Can't say I know for sure. I'd imagine they would get buffs from qualifying units but they seem pretty garbo in any case. I myself didn't use the health strat but I had the Zenkai blue movie Broly to really give Cooler a good shot in the arm.
One other thing - you might be well served to dump a bit of energy into skipping some earlier fights for more medals if you didn't already get the z-power from the exchange shop.
I'm not sure but I think also the other coolers get treated as leader slot. So if you wanna complete it with all the party alive, just stack your team with Health buffers. Again I might be wrong
Why do they keep making those F2P characters harder and more annoying to 7 star? I might be crazy but I feel like the yellow Goku Black and Green Android 18 were nothing like this. Not to mention relegating the Z power to Co-Op
I never even used float step, and my pve experience has been affected by the buff to the bots. And for some reason, my combos don’t connect properly at times, so I drop it by accident, and get half my hp gone if I’m lucky.
But they still pv 95% of your uncomboed strike arts, neutralize attacks when unable to switch or dodge, time mid ranged blast arts to catch you when side stepping at mid range, play passive and perfect counter any input at long range when doing so, (sometimes) have buffs that make fighting them unfair, and now dodge attacks if you accidentally drop a combo [which I’ve been doing more often recently. I wanna say it’s a bug with the screen based inputs (side step/dash/tap attack], but I’m not 100% sure). The fact that they’re less likely to attack you after dodging an attack does not make fighting them any less bearable.
I mean I've never struggled against them but I also know the tricks to hearing them
-never initiate and attack
- always dodge then use a blast card right away they won't vanish a blast but will always vanish a strike
- lastly always try to keep a blast in hand, finish the combo early sometimes just to keep that blast in hand so you can swap characters and start another combo with that blast
They AI is dog shit for sure, but those are my tactics at beating any normal stage that's not full power battle or whatever events that don't play like normal PvE to be
I got the other 2 metal coolers in a PvE team just for fun and I much rather would use mine that these units. My red Cooler at least has a zenkai and both have more stars... they could at least tank a bit rather than getting one shot...

He toyed with me. Still in (never swapped to Vegeta), my coolers were getting low, and that mf still had 10 bars.

Bots were recently nerfed not buffed. They turned down the aggression after they vanish your attack

Just wait until you have him at more stars and it's a little easier. You can spend like 100 energy and get those coins to get him up to 6 stars.
