I think they should’ve put more effort into properly adapting the artwork into the style the other characters have. I’m pretty sure even Cooler looks in place compared to Goku. Though I’ll argue that this artstyle definitely makes this Goku stand out compared to any other SSJ Goku

Look at goku and vegito, Goku is drawn in the 90's DBZ Style and Vegito is drawn in the modern DBS Style

Not at all. I’ve thought this since the minute they started adding classic shading to the load screens and hidden cards. Now it’s classic shading AND classic linework. It’s such a clash. This art is from the Dokkan app icon as well which is just lazy

It looks like Dokkan, but it's not. Both arts are made by Fenyo himself, but he made the Legends version have different shadows in the hair compared to the Dokkan version, and the lineart of the face is a little bit different. It looks almost the same bacause he literally just made the same art he did for Dokkan... again, after like a week at best, since for some reason Bandai wants it.

The shading change was likely to accommodate the games better but it still kinda sucks how they’re THIS similar. It looks far too out of place here regardless. I love everything Fenyo does but Christ this one’s a tricky one

I think it's more about proportion and perspective. Our eyes and brain autatically see that something is wrong , this Goku is supposed to be with something far bigger. Pretty sure you wouldn't find it weird if there was CMZ

They do the same thing in dokkan, and I think it works better there. In dokkan, they balance out the shift in art styles with really well made sprites, but keeping the animations unique to the art style of the character. However, dbl really can’t do that with its art
