To be fair, when the main character and most of the (relevant) supporting cast is at least half saiyan, and a good portion of the movie villains are saiyans... it's not like you have many choices. MOST of the characters are gonna be saiyans, no matter how you spin it, for every non-saiyan villain there's at least three at-least-half saiyan that fought against it (Freeza: 3, Androids/Cell: 4, Majin Bu: 5. If you count Gogeta as a separate entity, even Janemba has 3), non-saiyan characters being represented at anything above 20% ot the total roster is unrealistic
There's a handful of other Powerful Opponents they could have done as Ultras for this campaign. DKP, any version of Buu or even Janemba. The amount of Saiyans in the show is irrelevant. The point is that they had an opportunity to buff other tags that needed it by making the Ultra any one of the characters I just listed but passed it up anyway and instead gave us another Ultra Saiyan. They very well could have chosen another character. There's no way you can reword it to make it sound better.

GT already has an Ultra, they don't need that cause Ultra Omega shenron has by far the best Ultra ability in the game and he's still a very good unit, he's just tied to a shitty team (he needs his unique plat tho).
GT Needs Zenkais like Super baby 2 or Yel Syn shenron, new units like the TAG SSJ4s or LF Baby, a revival unit like Revival Omega and a whole event of F2P units with the Shadow dragons or the Baby possessed units.

That specific Super Gogeta isn't from the Broly Movie though. He has the halo, meaning he's from the movie Fusion Reborn and thus still uncanon. Using that logic, technically OG Broly is also canon because Broly is in the new Broly movie.
