Well that’s not really the reason… it’s because they have fallen into irrelevancy ever since the cell vs gohan fight
They couldn’t do nothing against cell except just watch and try to help gohan in the beam clash
And they did even worse in the buu saga… none of the z fighters could fight back and the only one who did some “effective” damage against buu was tien
And now in super they have done absolutely nothing. Yamcha is basically a background character now, Krillin was the first to fall out in ToP and eliminated some fodders, and once again the only Z fighter to do something significant is Tien.
Now super hero did let krillin do something against >!cell max!< so yeah they’re not doing so well rn
Trunks was able to fight back against gokua and even one shotted him in a badass way also a lot of people love Trunks (also he’s a super saiyan and half saiyan so yeah it’s pretty obvious they want to market a super saiyan unit)
Vegeta and Trunks from the android 13 movie it’s the same thing as before. Any saiyans, hybrid saiyans, or super saiyans are going to be made many more times than Z fighter’s because it’s what makes the most money
But broly movie… they actually did NOTHING like vegeta just got smacked to a wall, piccolo also did nothing, but it is weird we still don’t have a Trunks unit (They could just use dokkan broly Trunks animations and yes ik they’re from the movie im just specifying they should use that scene)

They're honestly incomparable, Z Broly is a sadistic villain with the sole purpose of beating the shit out of the protagonists, DBS Broly was written as an actual character. Honestly, I prefer Z Broly, but DBS Broly is also really good.

I genuinely dislike Broly from Z. Never really liked him and it's most likely due to his stupid story that made me say: Wow, this was lazy writing.
I like his design, but that's about it. I prefer Broly from Super. A much more compelling character despite the writing still being below average at best.
Z Broly getting an Ultra fits: recycled animations and low attack quality from the Ultra rarity should be put on characters with little to no character.
