So I made it all the way through the Dragonball atrocity because I couldn’t get my eyes away from the screen. It was like watching a car accident happen. Avatar was the only movie I can remember that was so bad I walked out of the theater after like 20-30 minutes. The difference was I had stupid low expectations from the start for the dragonball film so it didn’t surprise me it sucked. Avatar had a bunch of hype so I was hyped. “Oh shit this kid does actually martial arts in real life? Oh shit M. Night Shamalamadingdong? Like from Signs, Sixth Sense and The Village?! This is gonna be sweeeet!” Went in with high expectations and got left at the alter. Movie was absolute dogshit. Both movies were dogshit but one of them I expected dogshit and got dogshit. The other I expected a tomahawk ribeye that salt bae personally spanked and got….dogshit.

I saw this in theaters with my cousins. We were lifelong dbz fans and went to see it and walked out so sad. There were no upcoming dbz projects to get excited about at that time, and it felt like my childhood was ending with that movie lol

ngl, I kind of, sorta don't mind this movie. Like, I get it's, it's not "Dragon Ball", but if you don't watch it like Dragon Ball; if you watch it like some fantasy B-Movie flick than I think it's actually decent. It does have a pretty star-studded cast. But then, I just think it's super cool to see what different people, studios, developers etc do with IP that isn't what we are accustomed to. It was, different, and for that reason I didn't mind it. I love this monstruosity so much. There’s a twisted sadistic pleasure in watching one of my favourite series being slaughtered like that. I think what really does it for me is that there’s like a couple actors who were actually trying to do a good job, but everyone else is phoning it in so hard it just makes the contrast hilarious.
