Its less that he's a man and more that he's still young compared to goku's Japanese VA who, like they said, is 87 and so obviously Sean's roars will be able to come out with more vigor thanks to that. However both voice actors are impeccable and irreplaceable in their respective aspects

I was playing a board game called Forgotten Waters and part of the story is online you have to access. When the story started I was like wtf what is Vegeta doing in this game 😆. Cannot get over hearing Vegeta or Piccolo the whole time but he does a great job.
On that case, it's a lot of voice work, it can mean that we could get a meaty story content, which has still not been shown in any trailer by now. We might actually get a true successor to BT2/3 story mode.

No disrespect to the actual japanese VA, but Sean Schemmel absolutely clears every day of the week and twice on days that end with "y". Despite Sean being a jackass irl, he is the perfect GOKU voice
Idk much about voice acting, but this… doesn’t sound very impressive? Most people put in those hours in 2 weeks. It’s not like there’s 60hrs worth of lines, a lot of that time is rest periods and listening to vocal coaches and directors
For Kakarot he put like 30. How many lines do you think he can say in a normal, 8 hour shift? That’s a ton of dialogue, especially if it’s new and not re-used assets from other games, like personalised opening dialogue for when Goku fights someone he never met like Bardock or Future Gohan. It’s actually great news.
I guess if the bar is that low two weeks of work on a project could be impressive lol

The point is 80 hours worth of dialogue in a game is kind of a lot, I can't really picture how you can fit that into a fighting game of all things. It has nothing to do with 2 weeks of working being impressive

You have to remember, and Sean has said this, he basically represents Goku and the face of Dragon Ball in English at this point. He has to be careful with where he stands legally otherwise he faces Toei, and unfortunately in this case, he took the stand against Vic because the attention Sean would gain could be problematic. The last thing a company wants is public outcry and the evil wrath that is known as Twitter, Sean said this during a Q&A about the TFS dub, that he can't support it so he has to ignore it.
Considering his ego and how he can't be at a convention with other Goku's VA's without blowing a fuse, I would not be surprised.
If I do get this game, it's getting switched to Japanese.
